About the role
As Chief of Staff, you will serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, driving alignment across the organisation's priorities, facilitating effective decision-making, and enabling a strong internal culture through communications and engagement.

In this role, your key performance outcomes will include:
• Strategic Leadership Alignment and Delivery
The CEO's priorities and agenda are proactively managed and aligned with organisational strategy. Executive leadership meetings are well-coordinated, with clear decisions, follow-through, and cross-functional collaboration that drives delivery of strategic objectives.
• Engaged and Connected Organisation
Senior leadership internal communications and engagement initiatives effectively connect staff to the mission, strategy, and leadership. Organisational updates, messaging, and all-staff events strengthen trust, morale, and understanding across all levels of the organisation.
• Trusted Executive Operations and Stakeholder Support
Deliver high-quality, timely briefings, speeches, stakeholder communications and advice to the CEO. Relationships with internal and external partners are supported through clear messaging and reputational awareness, enabling the CEO and ELT to engage with influence and collborate with maximum impact.
• High-Performing and Accountable Team
Direct reports have a clear purpose, are motivated, supported, autonomous and accountable. Safeguarding, compliance, and risk awareness are embedded in all operations, and the CEO Office runs efficiently, with streamlined systems that support responsive and agile leadership.
• Ensure the development and implementation of Safeguarding procedures relevant to the role including identifying Safeguarding risks, supporting safe reporting mechanisms, and promoting compliance with safeguarding standards and best practice to protect children, community members, staff and volunteers from harm.

As a vital part of the safeguarding team, the Trainer and Facilitator will play a key role in developing and delivering safeguarding training across the Diocese. This includes ensuring that all those with safeguarding responsibilities are equipped with the knowledge, confidence, and understanding necessary to recognise, respond to, and prevent abuse, and to create safe and caring church communities.
The role requires both strong organisational and interpersonal skills. The postholder will deliver training online and in person, adapting content and delivery methods to meet diverse learning needs and contexts. They will also monitor compliance and engagement with training across the Diocese, maintaining accurate records and preparing reports for leadership and governance bodies.
If you have excellent engagement & presentation skills, good IT competency, the ability to effectively prioritise and manage your workload - matched with a conscientious and flexible approach, then this may be the opportunity for you.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Training Delivery
To deliver training both in person and on-line, in Safeguarding leadership, and raising awareness of Domestic Abuse, including evaluating pre and post training session work
Safeguarding Training Coordination:
Coordination of the diocesan safeguarding learning and development programme, ensuring alignment with national frameworks and standards.
Training Administration and Record Management:
Organise around 80 training sessions annually, managing bookings, materials, publicity, and attendance records, and maintaining accurate safeguarding training data for individuals and parishes.
Reporting and Team Support:
Produce reports and statistics on training compliance and trends
We are looking for someone with:
· A qualification or demonstratable experience in training or education.
· Demonstratable experience in evaluating pre and post training session work.
· Demonstratable safeguarding experience.
· Good clear communication skills, in particular a friendly and sensitive training delivery manner, and confidence in in running Zoom and Teams for training.
· High level of ICT and database skills, in particular the ability to input data accurately and extract reports as required.
· Understanding and assurance of absolute confidentiality in relation to records held in safeguarding files and databases

The role
The volunteer officer will report to the volunteer manager.
The purpose of this role is to deliver the coordination of the operations of the charity’s volunteers ensuring that they have the best experience possible.

About the Role
This is a dynamic and rewarding role at the heart of the Fundraising Team, where you’ll help generate over £1.4 million each year to keep the Youth Zone running. You’ll lead on writing compelling bids and funding proposals that unlock both unrestricted income and targeted project support – from mental health to employability to sports and creative programmes.

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead on identifying, writing, and submitting high-quality funding applications to trusts, foundations, and statutory funders, securing both unrestricted income and project-specific funding aligned with strategic priorities
- Develop compelling proposals that articulate the impact of the Youth Zone’s work, leveraging live data, case studies, and feedback from youth workers to bring applications to life
- Work collaboratively across departments to ensure funding needs are clearly understood and prioritised, maintaining regular communication with delivery leads to shape project bids that reflect current and emerging needs
- Build and manage relationships with funders, developing stewardship plans that include timely reporting, in-person or virtual engagement, and opportunities for funder visits to the Youth Zone
- Act as a passionate advocate for the Youth Zone, representing the charity at networking events, funder meetings, and promotional visits, and supporting the wider fundraising team on campaigns and events when needed.
About You
You will have experience of:
- Writing successful funding applications or proposals, ideally in the voluntary or public sector, securing four- and five-figure gifts from trusts, foundations, or statutory sources
- Managing a fundraising pipeline or prospect list, from initial research through to application and stewardship, using a CRM system such as Salesforce to track progress and outcomes
- Collaborating across teams, particularly with delivery, finance, or impact colleagues, to gather information and develop compelling bids grounded in real-world delivery
- Producing high-quality donor reports, meeting deadlines and exceeding expectations through clear narrative, data, and case studies

The Senior Events and Membership Co-ordinator has key responsibility for supporting our Organisational Membership alongside the Events Manager and the Head of Commercial Operations to ensure work is covered by the wider team and to act as a central point of contact for partners and clients.
The Events Team is a key core team led by the Head of Commercial Operations, responsible for ensuring that support is provided to the QICN’s core programmes of work including the organisational membership, CPD events and various programmes.
