We are seeking an experienced and dynamic PR and marketing professional in our London fundraising office to design and deliver creative, multi-channel, integrated fundraising and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.
The success of this role will be dependent on engaging and building meaningful long-term relationships with both existing and new supporters through effective donor stewardship, attending events, and networking.
The successful candidate will work in conjunction with a small, dedicated team to provide fundraising, comms, and event support to our community fundraising groups.
High quality comms and media are going to be central to our plans to go public in a big way in 2024. Creating high-quality, impactful, and engaging content for multimedia platforms will be key. You’ll be able to identify stories from across the organisation, draw out information and ideas from others, and successfully turn complicated or clinical information into clear, simple, and compelling narratives.
The role requires a creative thinker with exceptional communication and leadership skills.
Main responsibilities:
Fundraising
· Develop and implement integrated fundraising, marketing and PR campaigns designed to significantly increase the Hospital’s voluntary income.
· Create and promote compelling and engaging content for web, social media, and email – ensuring that all comms have clear goals and outcomes.
· Manage the key relationships with the Guild fundraising Committee and the SOA fundraising committee including comms, marketing, and event support as well as helping to manage the key relationships with the Knights Templar sub-groups, and the County Priory Groups across the UK.
· To put in place measures for evaluating the effectiveness of all fundraising, PR and marketing activity ensuring robust data collection, analysis procedures, and making suggestions for improvements where required.
· Manage the production of key organisational publications – including, the Jerusalem Scene magazine, Annual Report, Strategic Plan, Annual Leaflet, and other promotional materials.
· To work closely with the Executive Head of UK Office and project partners to deliver a new website, contributing expertise and ideas in regard to its look, feel and functionality.
· Take responsibility for the ongoing management and maintenance of the website, working with external consultants where required to resolve issues.
· Understand and apply the principles of up-to-date SEO.
· Working with colleagues in Jerusalem to maintain a bank of compelling messages, narratives, and case studies for use across all external communications.
PR & Media
· To actively promote the charity’s fundraising endeavours including drafting all external and internal messaging to both new and existing supporters – e.g. email campaigns, newsletters, invitations, letters, speeches, presentations etc. for senior staff and volunteers.
· Managing press and media opportunities related to SJEHG’s fundraising activities.
· Cultivate and maintain relationships with press and media, proactively pitching stories to secure media coverage, drafting press releases, media plans, articles, and other materials for SJEHG’s fundraising activities.
· To provide counsel and advice to senior leadership on external and internal messaging, as required.
Other
· To assist with the management of the marketing budget, monitoring expenses, ensuring cost effectiveness, seeking to maximise return on investment.
· To keep accurate records and help ensure effective data management processes across the organisation.
· Collaborate effectively with colleagues and a wide range of individuals and organisations.
· To uphold and enhance the charity’s brand identity through consistent messaging, and visual elements across all communication channels and materials.
· Promote innovation and best-practice in marketing communications, with a strong focus on the external environment and trends.
· Any other tasks as may reasonably be required.

The Direct Marketing Officer will support the development, management, and optimisation of London’s Air Ambulance Lottery and Regular Giving programs which has phenomenal success via face-to-face fundraising. An exciting opportunity which will see the successful candidate working closely with the Operations Team, paramedics, doctors, and pilots to develop and deliver training to face-to-face fundraisers that brings the work of London’s Air Ambulance to life. The post holder will also work closely with external agency partners, as well as internal stakeholders and various teams within the charity.
The successful candidate will thrive on collaborative work, excel in presenting compelling narratives which inspire other fundraisers to do the same. An analytical mindset is essential, along with the ability to grasp facts and data to manage projects effectively. This role is the vital link between key internal charity stakeholders and external fundraisers, trainers, and account managers and therefore a thorough understanding of the sector and or campaign management via a similar role within the charity or private sector will be key.

About the role
This is an exciting time to join Young Lives vs Cancer as we set up a new Brand Marketing and Communications function including a team of digital experts.
We are looking to recruit two Digital Marketing Officers to join the newly created Digital Engagement team working to deliver exceptional digital activity that delivers against organisational objectives. One successful candidate will lead on supporting social channels and the other on email marketing, however both roles will be expected to work across all digital channels and cover for each other as necessary.

The Candidate
We’re looking for an outstanding marketing and communications leader who is strategically minded and delivery focused. They will be able to lead and develop an existing team and be adept at building and maintaining productive working relationships. They will seek out new opportunities to add value to existing activity and develop new ventures in collaboration with colleagues from a diverse range of different disciplines across the organisation. The ideal candidate will bring experience from a charity background and be used to supporting a broad portfolio of income generating activities. They will also be as comfortable leading communications internally as they are externally.
The Package
Salary: £52,915.20 per annum.

Dementia UK offer hybrid working between their office location and home, with requirements of working from their office 1-2 days per week. Salary for this role is between £40-45k per year.
The Marketing Communications Planning Manager is responsible for planning and ensuring the delivery of a strategically aligned plan for the Marketing and Communications Team. Collaborating with others, the post holder will ensure the delivery of insight-led campaigns, planned for the right audience, across the right channel, delivering effective content and messages in the most impactful way.
Working with the Marketing and Brand Lead, they will play a key role in setting our communications priorities and planning key organisational communication ‘moments’, such as our brand campaigns and World Alzheimer’s Month. The post holder will manage the delivery of these campaigns, as well as be a central point of contact for colleagues in projects requiring support across our Marketing, Digital and Media Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
· Develop channel strategies – working with the Marketing and Brand Lead, plan and execute campaigns, determining which platforms would have the most impact and working with relevant colleagues to adapt assets to suit the channel they’re being used on.
· Manage marketing and planning briefs – for priority projects, be the first point of contact for marketing briefs, refining briefs, advising colleagues on channel strategies and liaising with Marcomms teams to deliver campaigns and content.
· Identifying opportunities for integrated activity – play a key role in aligning marketing communications activity so plans are more cohesive and joined up.
· Manage the organisational communication calendar – work with teams across the charity to agree and implement quarterly external communication priorities, enabling us to be more joined up in our comms planning.
· Manage key brand and marketing campaigns – responsible for leading key brand and marketing campaigns, including; writing key messaging, managing project groups; having oversight of activity and working with channel leads (eg social media, email, design, media) and creative team to deliver the activity.
· Build our bank of insight and research – analyse results from marketing activity, interrogate our brand tracker monthly results, follow the latest trends and monitor what other charities are doing.
· Report on results – gather data on campaign results and create reports to show what worked and what was less effective for different audiences and channels.
· Project management – monitor cost, timescales and resources, assessing and recommending actions where variances from the plan occur.
· Agency management – manage external agencies in delivering campaigns and content.
Person Specification:
· Experience of marketing communications planning and managing integrated marketing, digital and communications campaigns.
· Managing and delivering against budgets and reporting on KPIs.
· Understanding of the needs of internal and external stakeholders, and using audience insight to deliver effective strategies.
· Ability to see the big picture and challenge with both authority and tact.
· Knowledge and use of project management tools and techniques.
· Experience of bringing structure and cohesiveness to competing work plans and comms challenges.
· Demonstrable experience of setting and reporting on evaluation frameworks.
· Experience of developing and implementing new processes and ways of working.
