We are looking for a Senior Communications Specialist who is a deeply strategic thinker as well as a producer of high-quality content, to help build the capabilities and capacity of our team. The core responsibilities of this role are: 

• Strategically guide our brand Development and Innovation:

  • Serve as a strategic partner to enhancing brand visibility and engagement, through innovative approaches and ideas

  • Initiate and manage projects for new content creation, exploring untapped avenues and channels for distribution

  • Strategically repurpose existing content to maximise impact and reach across diverse platforms

• Content Strategy:

  • Work with with cross-functional teams to gather industry insights and craft compelling narratives for our target audiences

  • Guide and manage the development (outsourcing where necessary) of multimedia content 

• Strategic direction in Email Marketing:

  • Develop advanced strategies to expand our email marketing capabilities and subscriber base

  • GuideLead the design and execution of engaging email campaigns that optimise customer engagement and conversion rates

  • Analyse campaign effectiveness and drive continuous improvements based on data-driven insights

• Collaboration and Thought Partnership:

  • Act as a key thought partner to the communications team, contributing to high-level strategy discussions

The ideal candidate will have:

• Excellent strategic planning and execution skills, developing and managing communication strategies and campaigns that drive results 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English) with the ability to produce compelling written materials

• Significant knowledge of digital communications platforms and relevant trends within them, particularly in email marketing and social media 

• Excellent project management skills and ability to independently carry out tasks to meet or exceed target results 

• A good understanding of the non-profit, social enterprise, and philanthropic sector 

• Model data-driven approaches to communications 

• Experience of developing compelling and engaging content, and thinking creatively about how it can best be leveraged to achieve the communications objectives

This new role has been established to lead and implement the audience and business growth 
strategy for ICA audiences alongside developing and delivering a sustainable, entrepreneurial 
and revenue generating business growth model.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Philanthropy 

• Lead, develop and implement a Business Growth strategic plan that brings a mix of 
  sustainable income derived from individual giving, trusts and foundations and corporate 
  sponsorships
• Work with the Director to develop strategic revenue generation opportunities across the 
  business and key ICA stakeholders
• Lead a Fundraising team to research prospective donors and supporters and build a 
  pipeline of donor acquisition, including bespoke donor packages
• Collaborate with strategic partners on the development of compelling partnership 
  funding/income/business growth proposals
• Maintain an overview of trends and developments in fundraising and business growth 
  across the artistic and cultural sector
• Contribute to business growth and fundraising forecasts to the annual and longer-term 
  strategic business planning process.
• Ensure effective CRM measures are in place and leading on timely and applicable 
  communications to key stakeholders including audiences, funders and members
• Alongside the Director, personally steward relationships with major individual donors 
  and key decision makers in trusts and foundations
• Lead on data collection processes and analytics in relation to audiences, participants and 
  donors. 

Audiences & Communications

•  Lead, develop and implement an Audiences and communications strategy alongside the 
  ICA’s internal and external colleagues and PR agencies
• Lead marketing campaigns for ICA’s work and manage a range of activity that supports 
  ICA to meet its organisational objectives
• Maintain and develop ICA’s brand in international, national and local markets, ensuring
  ICA’s identity is maintained across all communications channels
• Oversee the ICA platforms including its website, socials, media and the overall user 
  experience to ensure that they serve the organisational objectives
• Develop and deliver a coherent marketing and communications strategy that promotes
  ICA, and enables the institution to meet its income targets
• Develop, implement and maintain ICA’s overall digital and social media strategy
• Stay appraised of new opportunities for promoting ICA
• Alongside the Director and in consultation with ICA’s external PR agency as needed, lead 
  on PR strategy and response plans
• Provide support, direction and guidance for any crisis PR and comms strategies, 
  overseeing their subsequent implementation
• Ensure due diligence to GDPR is met across ICA’s Marketing and Communications 
  activity
• Oversee data collection processes and analytics in relation to audiences, participants 
  and donors
• Control the marketing budget to ensure that resources are managed as effectively as 
  possible, and that all spend delivers against key departmental objectives.

Governance & Reporting 

• Ensuring all fundraising and business growth activity is ethical and fully compliant with 
  relevant UK charity and financial management regulation
• Leading the Fundraising team to complete all business growth/fundraising reporting as 
  required including Arts Council England NPO reporting
• Reporting to the Director and Board of Trustees on the strategy and delivery of the ICA’s 
  business growth with the ability to flex and respond effectively when variances arise
• Reporting to the Finance and Audit sub-committee

Team Management

• Play an active and highly collaborative role as a full member of both the Executive 
  Leadership Team and Senior Leadership Team
• Line Manage roles of Senior Development Manager, Development Manager, Audience 
  and Marketing Manager, Membership Manager, Editions Coordinator, Ticketing & 
  Membership manager, ensuring person specific objectives are set in line with the ICA’s 
  strategic mission & KPIs, as well as supporting staff’s ongoing development and 
  appraisal processes
• Contribute to the wider organisation’s implementation of business initiatives and 
  transformation
• Working alongside members of ELT and SLT, deliver a consistent, empathetic and 
  pragmatic leadership

KEY REQUIREMENTS 

• Extensive and tangible experience in developing and delivering a communications 
  and audience development strategy within the arts and culture sector
• A demonstrable experience in business growth and implementation especially in 
  relation to revenue opportunities, trusts and foundations, individual giving and 
  corporate sponsorship ideally within the arts and culture sector
• Experience of personally managing relationships with high value individual, 
  organisational and institutional donors
• A clear track record of meeting income targets
• A clear track record of effectively managing both internal staff members and external 
  consultants/agencies and audience development strategy and implementation within 
  the arts and culture sector
• Knowledge of the practical application of effective CRM systems both across audiences 
  and funders
• Awareness of legislation governing fundraising activity by charities in the UK.

As Supporter Engagement Officer you’ll play a key role in helping us to engage new and existing supporters as well as helping to deliver first-class stewardship to retain support and build trust. Who we're looking for:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated stakeholder engagement specialist to work across our portfolio of programmes. The ideal candidate will be confident in building relationships with diverse stakeholders, particularly across the Education, Health and Social Care or Youth sectors, promoting our work and recruiting delegates to Ygam workshops. Outstanding communication skills, a strategic mindset and the ability to develop and implement engagement plans and projects are essential. Public speaking or training delivery experience would be beneficial. 

Main roles & responsibilities:

You will be responsible for stakeholder engagement across Ygam’s portfolio of programmes. You will develop long lasting relationships with schools, colleges and children’s services, promoting Ygam’s work and recruiting delegates to our workshops.

You will work across the programme team, developing relationships throughout the UK, training professionals to understand the impact and risks of gaming and gambling. You will also be responsible for promoting and marketing the work of Ygam at conferences and events.

You may, on occasion be required to arrange and deliver our City & Guilds assured workshops, both online and face to face and provide support to delegates post training, updating all relevant records and CRM systems.

Salary: £33,926 per annum (5 days)

Contract: Full or Part time available 4 or 5 days 

Location: Hybrid. The post holder will be contractually based at Hospice House,Kings cross London. This role is eligible for the Hospice UK Hybrid Working Arrangement from the start of employment.

Our office is a short walk from King’s Cross station in London. For this role, we need someone to come into the office at least one day a week, on a Tuesday. A day where all of Income Generation come into the office. You can work remotely for the rest of the time. Equally, you may prefer to work from the office full-time. We encourage all colleagues to visit member hospices to help inform our work and you may be able to work from there.

The Team: 

We are a team of three that sit within the wider Income Generation and Grants directorate. The Compassionate Employers team includes the Compassionate Employers Programme Lead, Corporate Development Manager and the Compassionate Employers Executive.

Working together, we aim to support employers who need our workplace services, ultimately raising funds for hospices throughout the UK. 

The Compassionate Employers programme and this role sit within our Corporate Development Team, within Income Generation and Grants. Compassionate Employers is a key part of Hospice UK’s Income Generation strategy. 

Our Corporate Development Team works closely within and across the department. The focus in the team is on building partnerships with businesses, through commercial activity, fundraising or strategic support. Current corporate partnerships include several ‘charity of the year’ relationships, conferences and events, sponsorship, cause-related marketing partnerships, a supplier directory and a jobs board. As well as driving positive change for people affected by terminal illness and bereavement in the workplace, Compassionate Employers is an important income generation stream and ‘door-opener’ for Hospice UK.

The Programme Manager role will report to the Senior Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for project managing a number of our services. You will have a clear focus of delivering high quality programmes that are run smoothly, efficiently, within budget, and achieve the desired outcomes and objectives for both the partners and the young people.

You will lead and support others within your team to deliver high quality programmes from initiation through to evaluation and review, that will directly contribute to the company’s growth strategy and impact.

The Programme Manager will also be a key member of the department and contribute to, departmental strategies, systems and maximising efficiency, delivering programme management to an excellent standard that produces high impact for our young people and partners.

In this role, you will work closely with the Digital Communications and Marketing, Business Development and Finance teams.

This role will support the delivery of our Impact and Evaluation strategy. This area of our work helps us to understand the impact of our grantmaking and creates and evaluates internal and external datasets to improve our work. Our Impact and Evaluation portfolio includes commissioning and undertaking new research, supporting our aim to publish studies on issues that affect children and young people living in poverty. 

We are a growing charity and our Impact and Evaluation department has a key role to play in the strategic and operational development of the charity as it grows. This role will support the delivery of that aim by working closely with the Impact and Evaluation Manager.

Responsibilities:

Data Collection: Assist with the collection and storage of research and survey data, including demographic data and outcomes indicators, employing quantitative and qualitative methods. Gather and engage with external open and government datasets. 

Database Administration: Retrieve and analyse datasets from internal databases, responding to requests for data from the team. Update and enter data into key dashboards to monitor trends and issues. 

Data Analysis: Assist with data analysis tasks, including cleaning and analysing quantitative data using software (e.g., Excel, PowerBI), as well as coding and analysing qualitative data using thematic analysis techniques.

Reporting and Presentations : Assist with the preparation of key reports, dashboards, and presentations summarising key findings, trends, and insights from impact and evaluation activities for fundraising purposes, including developing content for social media.

Evaluation Planning: Assist the implementation of evaluation plans for specific programs or initiatives. Contribute to planning large-scale projects, including the selection of appropriate evaluation methods, data collection tools, and evaluation frameworks.

Survey Administration: Assist with the design, administration, and analysis of surveys to gather feedback from grantees, staff, and other stakeholders. Monitor and act on grantee feedback, sharing relevant results with key staff.

Research Administration: Schedule and undertake interviews/focus groups, supported by the I&E Manager. Manage administrative activities such as contact with participants, transcription and coding.

Collaboration: Support the I&E Manager to collaborate with internal staff, research partners, and organisations in the sector to support evaluation activities.

We are now seeking a Digital Communications Lead (maternity cover) who will develop and deliver our digital communications to build awareness, understanding and engagement with Rewilding Britain and our mission. This is an exciting opportunity to join our fast growing charity and directly contribute to the growth of the rewilding movement.

Job purpose: 

To lead the development and delivery of Rewilding Britain's digital communications output, to inform, engage and activate audiences in support of our charitable aims.

Objectives of the role: 

Social media

• In line with our organisational objectives, lead on building our profile, reputation and engagement on social media with key audiences.

• Plan and deliver inspiring and effective social media content, including as part of engagement campaigns, fundraising appeals, and initiative launches, and in support of our partners and members. 

• Ensure that Rewilding Britain is using the best possible tools and techniques, by drawing on your own knowledge of the digital landscape and trends and staying up to date with changing trends.

• Guide colleagues across the organisation to capture and create social content in order to maximise opportunities to engage others with rewilding

• Take responsibility for monitoring social media and community building, ensuring prompt and accurate responses to social media enquiries. 

• Support with the development of social media and other digital policies and style guides. 
   

Email marketing

• Develop and deliver a schedule of email marketing for the organisation, including for fundraising and political engagement campaigns.

• Optimise email marketing by A/B testing content regularly to maximise performance and by making design and content improvements as the digital landscape evolves. 

• Use audience segmentation in support of campaigns, drawing on data from our CRM.
   

Website content & maintenance

• Work with the Content Manager and other team members to create new and updated web content in line with the Content Strategy, that is engaging, accurate and on-brand.

• Ensure web content is optimised for SEO and usability, advising and training staff on best practice.

• Contribute to team efforts to enhance the website as an engagement tool, including liaising with agencies where relevant. 

Other

• Track, monitor and report on digital activity to prove impact and maximise effectiveness. 

• Oversee/brief colleagues and freelancers, where relevant, to deliver discrete pieces of digital content for Rewilding Britain's channels.

• Contribute digital expertise to wider organisational projects and activities in support of our objectives. 

• Support the team in delivering Rewilding Britain webinars and events.
   

Essential skills, experience and behaviours

Experience

• At least three years' experience in a digital management role in a comparable organisation, overseeing digital communications to further organisational objectives. 

• Proven experience in managing social media channels in a professional role.

• Experience in producing and optimising email marketing (ideally using Mailchimp).

• Experience in managing and optimising website content.

• Familiarity with Google Analytics and digital monitoring tools.

• In-depth experience and understanding of current social and digital communications tools, landscape and trends.

Skills

• Excellent writing, editing and communication skills.

• Skills in creative content developments, such as video and photo editing, ideally using Adobe Creative Suite. 

• Skilled digital planner, with a track record of inspiring and leading on digital.

• Good grasp of conservation and ecology.
   

Personal qualities

• Proactive, creative and flexible approach with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively and autonomously from home, while also working collaboratively as part of a tight-knit team. 

• Highly organised, able to manage a content schedule and to plan and deliver digital campaigns.

Terms and conditions and staff benefits

This role is as maternity cover (9 months with possibility of extension).

This is a full time 5 day (35 hour) a week position, but we are open to a conversation with candidates who are seeking a role of 28-35 hours a week.

There will be some freedom for the person to determine their own working arrangements each week, within limitations, providing the work is delivered.

The salary is £35-40,000 f.t.e. per annum, dependent on skills and experience.

Rewilding Britain employees benefit from 25 days annual leave per year (pro rata for part time roles), rising to 30 days over 5 years. A generous employer-matched pension scheme is also available.

We are a virtual team who work from home and/or co-working spaces. We will support you to achieve a suitable virtual working environment. Some meetings are held face to face across Britain, so a willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays is desirable.

About the role

The enquiries we receive are diverse, and multitasking is essential as you'll be expected to handle calls and respond to email enquiries concurrently. Comprehensive support will be provided to help you learn all about the organisation so that you can deliver the best experience to our members. Persuasive communication skills are a must, along with proven adaptability and a quick learning ability.

This role involves constant use of data input and extraction skills, often whilst dealing with enquiries. Therefore, advanced data input skills and a calm professional manner are vital.

The CSP is the professional, educational and trade union body for the UK's 65,000 chartered physiotherapists, physiotherapy students and support workers; and one of the largest representative bodies in healthcare.

The Programme Officer role will report to the Programme Manager and sit within the Programmes Team.

The Programme Officer will be responsible for coordinating and delivering a number of our services.  You will have a clear focus of delivering high quality programmes that are run smoothly, efficiently, within budget and achieve the desired outcomes and objectives for both the partners and the young people.

You will support others within your team to deliver high quality programmes from programme initiation through to evaluation that will directly contribute to the company's growth strategy and impact.

The Programme Officer will also be a key member of the department and contribute to systems and maximising efficiency, delivering programme coordination to an excellent standard that produces high impact for our young people and partners.

§  Manage and lead the development and implementation of MfM Business leading on Coporate and Communiting fundraising and relationships 

§  Representing MfM at a senior and strategic level with external partners. 

§  Support and build strategic direction for MFM.

§  Deputise for the CEO

§  Work as a member of the Senior Leadership Team to develop, grow and sustain MfM.

§  Communicating and liaising with the internal staff/volunteer team and external agencies and services to include liaising with other mental health/ maternity care service providers and VCSE organisations.  

§  Delivering training sessions for staff and volunteer, sessional workers and placements.

§  Preparing and implementing a Marketing and Communications strategy and publicise MfM service across Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

§  Demonstrate an ability to empathise, encourage and support women towards recovery.

§  Promote Mothers for Mothers services to women during activities, as appropriate.

§  Collect and collate data, arrange for completion of monitoring and evaluation forms. Write timely reports giving feedback on the services for the CEO and for project funders.

§  Work in close collaboration with Mothers for Mothers colleagues in the business development to act in the best interests of Mothers for Mothers at all times.

Your excellent writing and content production skills will be invaluable in identifying powerful stories about how we are making a difference to people’s lives, within a complex organisation. We’re looking for someone creative, compassionate, and resourceful who cares about making society better and safer for as many people as possible.
