The Initiatives and Partnerships Manager plays a key role in the Trust’s Initiatives and Partnerships Team. The post holder will support the development and implementation of the Trust’s projects, manage team members and on occasion support external and partnership projects. Our work is varied, ranging from early-stage feasibility planning, partnership development, fundraising, business planning and design development, as well as supporting our conservation team who lead construction phase oversight.
This role builds on the successes of the Trust’s longstanding Regeneration programme, which has undertaken pioneering Regeneration projects addressing some of our most pressing conservation needs, as well as developing new operating models for some of the churches in our care. The job will support our regional teams in developing and implementing projects to deliver a range of conservation, social and regeneration benefits; with the balance of each responding to local need, demand and opportunity.
In addition, it encompasses the work undertaken to develop new commercial income opportunities. Examples are our groundbreaking Champing™ initiative, as well as others such as filming, and other commercial partnerships.

JOB PURPOSE
We are looking for a creative, ambitious, and data-driven individual to join us as Senior Officer Digital Optimisation, specialising in UX/UI to lead on the development and delivery of UK for UNHCR’s testing and optimisation strategy to improve conversion rates and user experience online, including our website, donation pages, and various subdomains. The role reports to the Head of Digital Fundraising and manages all donation pages, digital testing and tracking, as well as a range of Google and optimisation products.
The primary purpose is to optimise digital performance through A/B testing across our websites and supporting teams to adopt and implement a test-and-learn framework in their digital channels to raise more funds for refugees.
An existing A/B testing roadmap has been developed and is ready for your input and ideas. However, testing and optimisation is not limited to fundraising and will aim to improve digital conversion and performance across teams, channels and platforms – playing a key part in UNHCR’s annual fundraising programme to enable UNHCR to deliver its vision of a world where every person forced to flee can build a better life.

Role Responsibilities
- Develop and lead strategy for conversion rate optimisation, including the management of a testing roadmap to regularly execute A/B and multivariate tests and the use of new and existing technology, e.g. heatmapping to reduce friction rates and continuously improve and optimise conversions.
- Lead UX/UI across organisation, overseeing and implementing tests and analysis across teams to improve web experience and achieve required KPIs and objectives.
- Manage Google suite of tools and relevant relationships, ensuring everything is up to date and operating as necessary.
- Manage all donation pages and fundraising landing pages, building new pages, maintaining existing pages and closing pages; identify areas for improvement and work with relevant stakeholders to test and optimise.
- Utilise and manage suite of third-party platforms, e.g. Optimizely, Mouseflow, iRaiser, Sleeknote, Typeform to improve user experience and increase donations and conversions.
- Remain flexible and quickly respond to emergency situations, identifying fundraising opportunities and develop relevant comms and journeys as needed, collaborating with colleagues from across the organisation.
- Use data and insights to produce regular reports on performance against KPIs; use analytics to identify trends and optimise activities based on user behaviour.
- Manage and maintain vanity and tracking links across the organisation, utilising Google Tag Manager and UTMs to monitor performance and results.
- Stay up to date with digital best practices and technology, including sector trends, follow industry policies, including GDPR, PECR regulations, attending training and optimising plans accordingly.

We are looking for a candidate with strong budget oversight and organisational skills to join our small team and be our lead for Camden's Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme, a national programme funded by the Department for Education. With the support of YCF's Head of Partnerships & Grants and CEO, you will oversee and manage a significant budget, and all project management aspects of the programme, to ensure excellent, high-quality provision for Camden's Free School Meal eligible children and young people.
In August 2025, the programme was extended nationally by the DfE for an additional three years, and we await confirmation as to the exact allocation for Camden, which would hopefully enable us to extend this role to a three year contract to 2029.
About the HAF programme in Camden and this role
Young Camden Foundation has been Camden Council’s delivery partner for the national, Department for Education funded Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme since its inception in 2021. The programme distributes around £800,000 per year to support Free School Meal eligible children and young people in the borough across the main holidays of Spring, Summer and Winter.
You will lead all project management, from budget stewardship to overseeing programme delivery, with the support of the team. You will oversee a complex budget of around £800,000 ensuring its effective use throughout the year. You will ensure that each HAF programme in Camden offers young participants a diverse and enjoyable range of activities provided by respected organisations, operating at the highest levels of safety, quality, and in alignment with the Department for Education’s funding requirements. You will lead on all reporting, data processing, overseeing of invoicing, and communications of the programme.

We are seeking maternity cover for the Fundraising & Volunteer Manager starting November/December 2025. About the role
