Our Youth Project Leaders are individuals who are passionate about working with young people, supporting them to reach and be confident in their potential. You may be an experienced youth worker, or have experience facilitating sessions or working with young people and leading volunteers.

Your Job Description 

As a Youth Project Leader, you will: 

• Deliver ReachOut sessions at the same partner school on the same day and time weekly during term time.

• Prepare your ReachOut sessions, following ReachOut’s curriculum and adapting the activities to the needs and interests of your assigned group.

• Facilitate engaging ReachOut sessions for the young people attending by ensuring that the voice of young people is listened to and impacts the way the sessions are planned and facilitated.

• Manage and support a group of volunteer mentors; supporting them to build strong rapport with their mentees and helping them to understand how to best adapt their mentoring approach to the young people they are working with.

• Support theyoung people in your session to reach and be confident in their potential by facilitating the creation of good mentee/mentor relationships and by running activities to build the ReachOut Character Strengths.

• Complete monitoring and evaluation activities to ensure the sessions are as impactful as possible and set up strategies with the help of your line manager to help each young person in your group reach their mentoring goal.

• Keep in touch with the parents/carers of the young people in your group about attendance, successes and challenges.

• Manage your project’s weekly admin by planning your sessions, maintaining your attendance and providing detailed project updates to your line manager.

• Attend ReachOut events and socials with their mentors. • Follow ReachOut’s policies/procedures to safeguard young people.

• Act and communicate in a professional manner, in line with ReachOut character strengths and culture.

• Attend all compulsory training.

Job Purpose

The purpose of the Programme Coordinator is co-ordinate with all parties (Community Engagement Manager, the Programme Manager, LMK Leaders and the host organisations) to enable LMK to deliver high quality workshops for young people/youth work professionals/workplaces. 

Acting as the lynchpin of the organisation’s delivery team, the Programme Coordinator takes the workshop brief from the LMK Community Engagement Manager and then works with the Programme Manager to secure facilitators (LMK leaders), ensures the host organisation receives all supporting information, and provides LMK Leaders with the resources they need to deliver the workshop effectively. This role is also responsible for regular reporting about workshop bookings and delivery. 

Reporting to our CEO, the successful candidate will be part of LMK’s core staff team. You will work with LMK staff, LMK Leaders, members of our Youth Advisory Board, trustees and key stakeholders to develop and implement our long-term strategy. 

Key responsibilities: 

• Provide excellent customer service to organisations who are hosting LMK workshops, ensuring that all communication is timely and accurate, and any questions are responded to in full.

• Liaise with the Programme Manager and LMK Leaders to ensure there is clear understanding around their areas of expertise, availability and any specific considerations that need to be taken into account when delivering workshops.

• Open up opportunities to deliver workshops to any Leader applicable, ensuring the allocation of workshops is done fairly and consistently.

• Ensure LMK leaders have the information and resources required to deliver their workshop.

• Work closely with the Research and Evaluation Manager to ensure that the correct evaluation surveys are made available to workshop participants. 

• Work with our Head of Fundraising to track workshop delivery against funder commitments.

• Keep the CRM system data up to date in a timely way.

• Produce regular reports for the CEO on the booking and delivery of workshops, as well as any ad-hoc reports requested. 

• Share Leader evaluation feedback from workshops with Leaders.

• Check invoices submitted by LMK leaders, and work with the Programme Manager to get them approved. 

• Support the Programme Manager to organise LMK Leader Huddles and training events.

• Comply with our policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, confidentiality, complaints and data protection.

Person specification

• At least 2 years’ experience in an event management/admin management/executive assistant/operations role where there was a strong requirement to work with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an excellent track record of customer service.

• Proven ability to work well within a team.

• Highly organised to manage a diverse workload with excellent time management and ability to pay attention to detail.

• Excellent organisational skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Creative thinker with the ability to problem-solve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent IT skills across core MS/Google packages, ideally with experience of CRM use

The key responsibilities for the Head of Engagement role include;

• To work alongside the Public Engagement Director and Head of Learning to reflect on, monitor and reshape, where necessary, the vision and direction of the department responding to the changing environment and organisational needs.

The Position 

The Communications Officer, Global Corporate & Foundation Partnerships will focus on two key workstreams: 1) Implementing the communications and profile-raising strategy for the Development team’s $250M Climate: Possible global campaign and 2) Communications projects supporting European corporate and foundation partners. Working closely with the Communications Director, Global Corporate & Foundation Partnerships, and the Senior Director of Development in Europe, this position will coordinate across internal teams, including fundraising relationship managers and communications and marketing team members, and liaise directly with external partners.

Essential Responsibilities 

CLIMATE: POSSIBLE COMMUNICATIONS & PROFILE-STRATEGY SUPPORT (60%)

●Support the execution of the Climate: Possible communications plan, including managing the creation of thought leadership deliverables, developing written and other creative content, and coordinating internal reviews.

●Create an editorial calendar, develop and track an ongoing stream of content for executive and agency social media channels that highlights Mercy Corps’ expertise in climate adaptation programming.

●Event support, including developing briefing documents, talking points, invitation copy, and social media promotion for external climate conferences and events and Mercy Corps-organised corporate and foundation partnership events.

●Create new deliverables and update the existing suite of Climate: Possible marketing materials, as needed.

GENERAL COMMUNICATIONS SUPPORT FOR CORPORATE & FOUNDATION AUDIENCES (35%)

●Contribute to the development and implementation of multi-channel profile-raising strategies in support of the European strategic plan. Contribute to the profile and influence strategy to raise Mercy Corps’ profile with key corporate and foundation donors and prospects.

●Manage emergency response coordination for the Global Corporate and Foundation Partnership teams in partnership with the Global Sr. Communications Officer. Write emergency response communications (creating and sourcing content from internal teams), including email solicitations and updates, and help create donor deliverables, including decks and webinars to support emergency response fundraising amongst Corporate and Foundation partners.

●Source, transform, and create content into compelling Corporate and Foundation audience-specific products, including emails, blog and social posts, pitch decks, fact sheets, and videos.

●Serve as the communications lead, in partnership with corporate relationship managers, for corporate co-fundraising opportunities and submission prizes and competitions.

●Support strategic employee communications efforts for top European corporate partners in partnership with the Employee Engagement Officer.

●Monitor social media accounts of key Corporate and Foundation partners, and draft suggested posts for executive or agency engagement. 

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT AND TEAM PROCESS IMPROVEMENT (5%) 

• Develop and maintain internal documents to track communications projects and evaluate and prioritise communications opportunities with partners.
• Stay abreast and socialize internal communications resources and general fundraising communication trends with the Corporate and Foundation teams. 
• Contribute to Mercy Corps’ ethical fundraising and communications strategy by creating materials in line with our ethical storytelling approach and guidelines.

• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage and prioritise competing demands while maintaining attention to detail. 
• Visual thinker – design skills are a plus; experience working closely with designers.

• A strong understanding of relevant fields such as business, communications, marketing, non-profit management, or international development, as demonstrated through practical experience, coursework, or self-directed learning.

The Communications Officer, Global Corporate & Foundation Partnerships, will have demonstrated experience creating high-quality, fit-for-purpose communications deliverables. An outstanding writer and project manager, they will work collaboratively with multiple teams and individuals across many departments to ensure successful project outcomes. Experience in corporate social impact, climate programming, or international development will be a strong asset.

About the role

Sightsavers Ghana office is currently seeking a Programme Manager to implement, develop, design, and monitor in country projects. The Programme Manager will also identify and contribute to programme growth and development in collaboration with partners and colleagues.

The Programme Manager duties include;

• Supporting partners by providing technical advice and expertise on the core thematic areas of Sightsavers work and give guidance to ensure the successful implementation of projects.
• Support the development and implementation of country advocacy plans in line with projects and represent Sightsavers at the appropriate forums with partners and stakeholders.
• Lead on partnership assessment initiatives and develop a coherent plan of partner capacity building, and support project officers in the implementation of those plans.

• Support the Senior Programme Manager to contributes individual and country learning/ experience into broader organisational learning and policy development.

About CAT

The Centre for Alternative Technology (CAT) is an internationally renowned environmental charity, a world-leading eco centre, and one of the foremost providers of postgraduate environmental education in the UK, based near Machynlleth in Powys, Mid Wales.

CAT provides inspiration, education and training in solutions to the climate and biodiversity emergency.

Key activities include residential short courses, vocational training and postgraduate degrees in a wide range of sustainability-related topics, with online courses and events offered alongside in-person learning.

CAT launched the Zero Carbon Britain Hub and Innovation Lab in 2020 with support from the Moondance Foundation. This was initially a three year project and received further funding from the Moondance Foundation to run the Innovation Lab for a further three years. The aim of the project is to improve the capacity of councils and communities to turn climate emergency declarations into action and create systemic change in order to increase resilience to climate change.

This will be achieved by offering a programme of support aimed at increasing the competence, confidence and effectiveness of policy makers, communities and organisations in developing zero carbon policies and action plans. This support will include: using the Zero Carbon Britain model to provide people with the knowledge to create Zero Carbon Action Plans; delivering Zero Carbon Britain training using a ‘train the trainer’ model to increase the skills and capacity of communities to take action on climate change; supplying the tools to enable people to turn climate emergency declarations into action; setting up a digital resource hub and online network to provide peer support and increase confidence of individuals and communities to take action on climate change. The Role 
 
As a Marketing Officer (copywriting and content) you will build brand awareness and help to ensure the Yorkshire Cancer Research brand is accurately and consistently presented at all times. 

 
Supporting the the Marketing Manager you will ensure consistency in brand messaging, tone of voice and visual brand representation. You will extend the charity’s reach across Yorkshire by supporting the delivery of integrated marketing and fundraising campaigns. You will also communicate effectively to our supporters to strengthen our relationship with them, create high quality and engaging copy, brand and marketing collateral and supporter communications. 

Specifically, you will: 

• Develop high-quality, supporter-focused written marketing communications for a broad range of channels and supporter touchpoints. These shall consistently apply the Yorkshire Cancer Research tone of voice principles, use the key brand messages and always put the supporter at the heart of our charity’s communications. 

• You will work with the brand team to help to maintain, update and improve our charity’s messaging and will provide training, support and guidance to colleagues as required.

• Lead the development of messaging, copy, content and collateral to support marketing and fundraising propositions or campaigns.

• Lead the creation of written copy and marketing content / assets (including, but not limited to, case studies, photography, key messages, quotes, claims, digital and printed collateral) to support the needs of colleagues across the charity.

• Help develop copy for / lead the creation of key corporate communications, working with relevant Brand & Relationships team members (e.g. Fundraising / Communications). 

• Support the marketing team to develop a process for sign-off on copy and collateral, delivering a good customer service to colleagues / stakeholders while meeting governance requirements. 

• Work with the Head of Marketing or Marketing Manager to help project-manage the delivery of marketing and fundraising campaigns
