Job Overview
Transforming the national response to child sexual abuse
The Lighthouse is the first UK Child’s House, a national leader in trauma-informed, multidisciplinary support for children and young people who have experienced child sexual abuse. Based in Camden and serving North Central London, we provide integrated health assessments, therapeutic interventions, advocacy through the criminal justice process, and video recorded interviews led by clinical psychologists. Our model has influenced policy and practice across the UK, improving well-being for children and carers, and increasing convictions.
We are seeking an experienced, professionally registered Social Worker to join our team of social workers and ChISVAs. If you want to shape how social workers respond to children as victims of crime, and you are ready to deepen your expertise in complex safeguarding, this is an exceptional opportunity to work within a unique and nationally influential service.
Main Duties of the Job
In this role, you will provide specialist child-centred advocacy and coordinated support for children and young people as they navigate the criminal justice process following sexual abuse. Acting as a dedicated ChISVA-informed practitioner, you will ensure that each child understands their rights, feels heard and supported, and is prepared for every stage of their justice journey, from early decision making to court outcomes. You will offer clear, accessible information about police processes, ABE interviews, CPS decisions and court expectations, and you will work closely with police, social care and legal partners to ensure the child’s best interests remain central.
Your work will span early safeguarding oversight, holistic needs assessments and collaborative care planning with our multidisciplinary team, including CAMHS clinicians, social workers, paediatricians and NSPCC therapeutic practitioners. You will be a consistent point of contact for children, young people and their safe family members, helping them manage trauma-related needs, address practical barriers and access the support and interventions recommended by the Lighthouse. The role includes guiding families through complex and often distressing processes, ensuring they have continuous access to information, emotional support and safety planning.
We are recruiting for 1 x Schools Coordinator post in the following regions and areas.
South West and Channel Islands – Dorset. 1xfull time 35 hpw, fixed term contract until 31/8/2027
- Home based.
- Must live within the advertised areas, as frequent travel is a requirement of the role.
- Access to a car for work travel and broadband are essential for the role.

Reporting to the Schools Service Manager, the Schools Coordinator role will mainly be responsible for delivering the Schools Service and local offer to primary and secondary school settings. This includes (not an exhaustive list):
- Being the single point of contact for primary and secondary schools within the designated local educational authority areas, including non-mainstream settings;
- Working to set targets, KPIs and reach plans as agreed by your line manager;
- Responsibility for booking a minimum number of schools to deliver our Speak out. Stay safe programme;
- Overseeing the booking and delivery of NSPCC volunteer led workshops (to 6-7- and 9–11-year-olds);
- Actively engaging with and approaching secondary schools with our new Talk Relationships service and wider offer;
- Leading, supervising and supporting a team of high calibre schools service volunteers;
- Carrying out quality assurance visits through direct observations of volunteer deliveries, giving constructive feedback;
- Ensuring training and sign off plans are in place for new volunteers, which may include some co-delivery with a Schools Coordinator in schools for some areas;
- Providing effective individual and group volunteer supervisions;
- Planning and implementing volunteer recruitment/attraction strategies;
- Building and maintaining internal and external relationships, attending events or actively stewarding our offer with stakeholders;
- Following NSPCC Schools Service safeguarding procedures to the required standards;
- Collaboration with internal colleagues across the organisation in region;
- Being an active contributor to priority projects;
- Commitment to continued professional development and practice sharing.

It requires an ability to think creatively and efficiently deliver applications and reports, keeping to strict deadlines. In addition, you may be required to support our other areas of fundraising.
To do this, you must be able to understand the impact of Regenerate’s work and creatively demonstrate its worth to a variety of current and potential stakeholders. You must also be able to accurately keep records and ensure data on applications, reports and other fundraising sources is well managed. In addition, you may be required to support the other areas of fundraising.
