What is the overall purpose of the role?

At Youth Action Alliance, our mission is to support the personal and social development (their values, beliefs, ideas and skills) of the young people living in Kensington and Chelsea and neighbouring boroughs, enabling them to increase their resilience and skills in the present, and promote their ambitions for the future.

We are ambitious to grow, to continue supporting more young people and influence positive change. To do this we are looking to appoint a Support Youth Worker to work across two projects:

Working 50% of your time with Gypsy, Roma and Irish Traveller young people (Travellers project) 11-19 years old, including;

● A weekly girls’ workshop

● Targeted mentoring and support - helping them to stay in education, enrol in college, seek work opportunities, and access additional support services.

● Off-site holiday activities

Please note, work may extend to ages 8–21, subject to funding.

Working 50% of your time with the Staying Connected project young people, 11-19 years old, including;

● Targeted one-to-one mentoring and support via face-to-face, online or via phone

● Group support delivery

● Personal action plans

● Off-site holiday activities

Job responsibilities

● Support with the planning and delivery of an innovative, cohesive and progressive programme of delivery for Travellers and Staying Connected (focusing on personal and social development skills), and budgeting to ensure smooth and effective delivery of the programme.

● Recruit, engage and support young people aged to participate in the programmes.

● Building and strengthening partnerships with local organisations, services, and stakeholders (such as schools, youth services, community groups, health providers, or charities)

● Adhere to the programme risk assessments as/when required and carry out regular health and safety checks.

● Develop promotional content and material for the projects and events (e.g. via social media, website, offline marketing etc.).

● Support young people into positive outcomes including Education, Employment and/or Training.

● Deliver one-to-one or group support sessions (via text message, email, telephone, virtually and face-to-face) to provide advice, information, guidance, mentoring and signposting to internal and external services (e.g. mental health and wellbeing services, YAA events).

● Create individual action plans with young people to capture their key aims and objectives at different stages of engagement.

● Support the organisation and delivery of trips and positive activities in line with provision delivery plans and/or requirements.

● Provide day-to-day operational and administrative management support of the programmes.

● Support the management of project budget sheets, recording expenditure and forecasting financial information for reporting purposes.

● Maintain an asset register for any equipment/assets associated with the programmes and ensure their safekeeping.

● Support the management of referrals to and from the programmes, including partner agencies such as Social Services, the Police, the Youth Offending Team (YOT), Alternative Provision and Schools.

● Record young people’s data, (Views) including membership information, case notes, session notes, registers, and case studies.

● Prepare reports for funding applications,collate monitoring statistics to evidence impact and engagement for reports and funding bids.

● Capture and evaluate young people’s journeys and progress through feedback, consultation, and creative methods to evidence impact and support future funding.

● Ensure youth voice shapes programme design and delivery, reflecting the needs and priorities of the community.

Knowledge and experience

● Certification and professionalism - Youth Work Qualified

● Experience in the charity sector, the voluntary sector, or community sector would be desirable.

● Experience working with children, young people and vulnerable adults

● Competent in the use of MS Word, Excel, and databases for recording and reporting.

● Excellent time-keeper and manages own time effectively to keep to deadlines

● Good communication skills, including literacy and writing skills.

● Good interpersonal skills and some experience of engaging with a diverse group of young people, including the Gypsy, Roma and Irish Traveller community (preferred).

About the role 

We’re working to build and grow a powerful movement of people to transform the experience of people living with Parkinson’s. Your focus will be to understand the current experience for our existing supporters as well as looking for opportunities to improve experience, build loyalty and ultimately increase the lifetime value of our existing supporter base. 

What you’ll do:

• Understand, map, and visualise Supporter Journeys (on and offline) at Parkinson’s UK, identifying opportunities and pain points.

• Create cross-channel supporter engagement moments and deliver direct mail communications that drive action.

• Lead the development of journeys for existing supporters of Parkinson's UK across our various products (e.g. individual giving, community fundraising).

• Help us transform how we use direct mail to engage supporters across the Fundraising & Experience directorate.

• Deliver in collaboration with the wider Supporter Engagement Team the supporter engagement transformation programme to improve the supporter experience.

What you’ll bring:

• Experience of supporter engagement  in the commercial  or not-for-profit sectors

• Significant experience of supporter journey mapping and using supporter insight to shape engagement plans

• Significant experience of strategically planning and delivering large, complex supporter communications plans across email and direct mail

• Proven ability to engage supporter audiences, drive engagement and improve retention across channels

• Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver work in an organised and efficient manner

Family Support Worker

Age UK Croydon’s very successful Personal Safety Project (Falls Prevention) for older people in Croydon is recruiting a new Senior Personal Safety Assessor. If you are an enthusiastic, passionate and organised individual, this could be the role for you.

Our Personal Safety Project (PSP) is a free service which aims to help older people who have fallen or are at risk of falling at home. The service is available to anyone aged 50 and over who lives in the borough of Croydon.

Our trained assessors carry out a comprehensive risk assessment to identify potential causes of falls and hazards in the home and can arrange for stair rails, grab handles and other necessary aids and adaptations to be supplied and/or fitted, free of charge. The project can provide ongoing telephone support for up to six weeks to monitor the risk of further falls post engagement.

We are seeking a fixed-term Grants Manager to join the Access to Justice Foundation through July 2026. LGBT Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) Birmingham & West Midlands.

Full-time 37 hours per week.

Birmingham LGBT is seeking to recruit a full-time LGBT IDVA covering Birmingham and the West Midlands to ensure that LGBT victims/survivors of domestic violence have access to an IDVA who will offer support, signposting, advocacy, risk management and safety planning.

We recognise the importance and advantages of diverse workplaces and communities, and we acknowledge under-representation in our workforce of Black, Asian and global majority people; people with a Romany or Irish Traveller background, and people with lived experience of migration. Main Duties

 ·Provide independent advocacy and support to LGBT survivors of domestic violence.

·Work with survivors from the point of crisis and offer intensive support to help ensure short-term and long-term safety.

·Maintain multi-agency links and partnerships through protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors of domestic violence.

·Empower service users by providing them with emotional and practical support, thus enabling them to access their rights, empowering them to make decisions and increasing their life options.

·Inform survivors of full range of civil, criminal and practical options that might increase their safety.

Casework Management

·To advise and support LGBT survivors of domestic violence.

·To undertake advocacy casework, working with survivors following an initial assessment of their needs, working within a structured key-working relationship.

·To provide one-to-one-emotional, practical, legal and advocacy support to survivors through the development of an individual support plan, including risk assessments, safety planning and assistance in accessing other relevant services such as the police, counselling, housing, and legal services.

·To support LGBT survivors of domestic violence who are going through the criminal justice system.

·To develop and maintain good working relationships and links with other agencies, referring service users to appropriate specialist agencies where necessary as part of a support plan and in consultation with them.

·To ensure that any issues in relation to child or adult protection concerns are responded to in line with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and are brought to the immediate attention of the line manager.

·To deliver training on LGBT domestic violence.

·To work within Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Information Management

·To participate in the collection and maintenance of information on relevant referral agencies and local services.

·To ensure high quality and effective statistical monitoring is undertaken at all times in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.

·To produce monitoring reports as requested by the Office of the West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner.

·To maintain accurate, confidential service-user records of contact details and interventions, ensuring that personal information is up-to-date and that it is kept secure and confidential at all times in compliance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and Birmingham LGBT’s procedures.

·To ensure that feedback from service users and agencies is actively sought to inform the continuous improvement and development of the service.

Professional Development and Training

·To keep up-to-date with developments in legislation, policy and local and national government initiatives that address domestic violence.

·To attend and prepare for regular meetings with the line manager and to participate in individual appraisals in accordance with Birmingham LGBT’s policies and procedures.

·To attend internal or external training events, meetings or forums, as requested by the line manager and in line with the post-holder’s professional development plan.

·To attend regular team meetings.

·To carry out other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required by the line manager.

• Liaise with external stakeholders including the Royal family, the Order’s senior leadership (including the leadership of the Order’s Priories, Commanderies and St John Associations around the world) and the four other recognised orders of St John to promote and protect the Order of St John;
•  Provide advice and guidance to St John Priories, Commanderies and Associations on honours and awards, genealogy and ceremonial matters.
• Assist St John Establishments in designing and delivering ceremonial events;
• Act as Secretary for meetings of the Order’s Honours and Awards Committee and Chair of Order’s Unrecognised Orders Group.
• As a member of the senior management team, contribute to policy making and planning across the whole range of the International Office’s activities.

Essential experience and competences: 

•  Excellent team-worker with the confidence to interact with senior stakeholders. 
•  Good written and oral communications skills.
• An interest in modern day orders of chivalry and their histories.
• The ability to manage a complex and detailed set of requirements effectively and to work to set deadlines.
• A proactive and engaged approach to the role, particularly interactions with stakeholders.

Desirable experiences and competencies:

• An understanding of UK  honours and awards and experience in personnel or appraisal writing relevant to a modern order of chivalry.
• Experience of working in the charitable sector.
• Experience of working with international stakeholders.
• Familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite of products.

In this role, you’ll:

• Lead and support a busy team of debt advisers, ensuring advice is accurate, effective, and compliant with FCA and sector standards

• Oversee quality control, case management, and reporting to funders and regulators

• Support and develop staff through training, supervision, and case reviews

This is a hands-on, senior role where you’ll combine leadership with maintaining up-to-date knowledge of debt solutions, casework processes, and sector developments.

About you:
You’ll bring at least 5 years’ experience of delivering debt advice and managing caseloads, together with a specialist debt advice qualification (or the drive to complete one). You’ll be confident managing a team, balancing priorities, and ensuring services meet the highest quality standards. Strong communication, data, and organisational skills are essential.

The Role
This role is part of the Global Fundraising Team of over 50 staff. You will be responsible for planning and managing a digital fundraising portfolio including paid and organic advertising, Shop and eCommerce products, and Community and Events fundraising.

You will manage the delivery of digital campaigns from start to finish, from budgeting and scheduling through to audience selection, agency and supplier briefing, copy and creative development, digital production, and reporting.

The Candidate
Track record of working on successful digital marketing, campaigns and communications ideally in a charity setting.

Experience of delivering digital marketing strategy and campaign management for lead generation, acquisition and retention that is audience-centric, rooted in insight and target driven.

Experience of working across a range of digital channels including paid and organic social media, Google Ads , web and email.

Hands-on experience of working with digital production, service providers and platforms to identify and deliver best-in-class digital solutions.

Experience of digital and data reporting and analysis, with track-record of acting on insights to achieve KPls and income targets.

Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders to support their digital marketing planning and communication delivery.
