We’re looking for a part-time Senior Operations Manager with extensive operational, business, Health & Safety, IT and HR experience. A member of the Senior Management Team, this person will play a vital role in enabling Time & Talents to deliver our strategy, maintain best practice and develop robust long-term plans.
What we do
Time & Talents is a lively, busy community centre in the heart of Rotherhithe, SE16. Set in a leafy heritage building, and ‘T&T2’, our second venue in Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, we offer something for everyone. With a history of 137 years of supporting people of all ages in Rotherhithe and Bermondsey, we bring people together for mutual support, fun and friendship with a wide range of services and activities for older people and other adults, along with volunteering and children and families’ projects.
T&T has grown substantially over the last 5 years, and we are in an exciting time for the charity. We are reviewing our long-term aims and changing local needs to ensure programme delivery continues our extensive track record of positive outcomes. We also need to review our current contracted provision and best practices in the charity’s business and operations.
We are strengthening our offer whilst staying focused on our aims: ensuring that everyone feels part of a community and that no one is isolated or lonely. We are looking for a fresh pair of eyes to help us maintain best practice in our work.
The role
In this role, you’ll:
- Hold responsibility for T&T’s internal business and operations functions
- Motivate and manage the operations team
- Contribute to the wider organisation as a member of the Senior Management Team
- Act as Deputy Safeguarding Lead for the organisation

About this team:
The purpose of the Finance Department is to support the rest of Dogs Trust in achieving the strategic aims of the charity. About Women in Prison
Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. Job Purpose:
To provide strategic oversight and operational management for Women in Prison services in Surrey. Reporting to the Country Director, the Head of Programmes will provide strategic programme direction, managerial and programme leadership, and oversight on all aspects of strategy development, programme development and management in water, sanitation and hygiene including significant component of public health programmes and projects. S/he is responsible for strategic programme leadership of programmes, programme design, management, quality assurance and partner support. S/he will provide an oversight of the quality of the programmes that reflect adherence to global and WaterAid standards and donor guidelines, while fostering innovation to improve effectiveness and impact ensuring the delivery and overall success of WaterAid's Country Programme Strategy (2023-2028). The Head of Programmes is a member of the Senior Management Team. S/he will have a strong professional relationship with the Regional Programme Manager, based in the Regional Team to ensure that global standards on programme quality, planning, monitoring, evaluation, and assurance are applied in country programme. At the Country Programme level, the Head of Programmes will have a strong professional relationship with the Head of Advocacy and Policy, Head of Funding, Head of Finance and Senior Programme staff.
Specifically, the Head of Programmes, will be responsible for the following amongst others:
- Provide strategic programme direction for the design of the Country Programme strategic frameworks and plans, including the development of resource mobilization strategies to optimize the impact of programme interventions in line with the Country Strategy and WaterAid's regional and global strategic priorities.
- Collaborate closely with the health sector to empower them to prioritise Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) initiatives and embed hygiene practices as fundamental pillars of public health.
- Lead the execution of WaterAid's programmatic approaches that include Systems Strengthening Approach, Gender transformative WASH, Hygiene Behavioural-Centred Approach and Design methodologies, and Human rights-based approach (HRBA) into all aspects of WASH programming and operations.
- Lead the development and execution of strategic plans for WASH programming, ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals and priorities.
- Integrate Climate Resilient WASH principles into project design and implementation strategies to enhance the resilience of WASH systems and infrastructure to climate change impacts approach into all aspects of our work.

Uphold the WaterAid brand, while addressing development issues specific to Zambia and other management related issues. - Create conducive learning conditions, ensuring a safe environment for sharing of ideas and problem solving. Promote accountability, learning and knowledge management overseeing implementation of the PMER policy and facilitate cross-sectoral and cross-department learning.

Burnham and Weston Energy CIC is looking for a programme manager to nurture and grow our energy advice service.
The service is delivered by a small team of trained Home Energy Advisors who visit people in their homes to provide advice on how they can save money on their bills and make their homes warmer and healthier to live in. They also install small energy efficiency measures such as LED lights, draft proofing and radiator reflectors. Households are then referred on to further support to help them access welfare payments and grant funding for home upgrades including insulation, boiler replacement and energy efficient appliances.
The current team of 2 Home Energy Advisors have capacity to deliver around 700 home visits per year. We receive referrals from a range of local organisations. We employ a Programme Co-ordinator to manage and generate home visit referrals and bookings, provide follow up support, and manage events and communications.
From this foundation, our growth objectives for the Home Energy Savings service are to:
- Continue to raise awareness of the service amongst local organisations and the public, and increase the number of referrals and vulnerable householders who benefit.
- Grow the team of Home Energy Advisors as demand requires, to at least double the team by the end of 2025.
- Secure additional funding to support the service.
- Develop partnerships which broaden and deepen the ways we can help households, including unlocking funding and support for energy efficiency retrofit.

- Manage the delivery of grant funder requirements including ensuring KPIs are met, budgets managed and reports provided.
- Manage the delivery of our referral partnership contract with LEAP AgilityEco including ensuring KPIs and contractual requirement are met and that households referred to LEAP receive the best possible support.

- Manage relationships with organisations referring households to the energy support programme and receiving onward referrals from us.
- Develop partnerships which broaden and deepen the ways we can help households.

- Represent Burnham & Weston Energy at local events and forums, nurture and grow our networks and relationships with local stakeholders and deliver our comms via the website and social media channels.
Essential requiremnts:
- Experience of leading and managing home visit teams including safeguarding, H&S, mental health, risk assessment and management, team building, mentoring and training. Experience of managing front line service teams is more important to us than energy advice experience. We can organise mentoring support from other community energy enterprises who have developed and scaled up local energy advice services.
- Experience of overseeing complex case work.
- Experience of grant programme and service contract management including management of budgets, KPI delivery, reporting and meeting funder requirements.
- Experience of securing grant and service contract funding including applications, contract negotiation and ensuring funding requirements are in place.
- Committed to and rooted in the communities we serve: Weston-super-Mare, Burnham-on-Sea, Highbridge, Mark, Winscombe and the surrounding rural areas.
- Understand the local public, community and private sector landscape and be well networked.
- An ability to bring people together, bring out the best in people and make things happen.

About the role
We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled Bid Manager who can actively craft commercial tender submissions and work with the team to ensure we submit high-quality, winning bids within UK government procurement rules.
You will sit in the Business and Strategy directorate and lead bid-writing across the organisation, line-managing a team of Bid Writers and working closely with other colleagues across Business Development, Marketing and Operations.
