An exciting opportunity which will see the successful candidate working closely with the Operations Team, paramedics, doctors, and pilots to develop and deliver training to face-to-face fundraisers that brings the work of London’s Air Ambulance to life. As the Major Donor Manager, you will join a collaborative fundraising team and focus on building upon existing and new relationships with high-net-worth-individuals to secure income and support. Working within a sub-team of three including a Prospect Research Manager and the Senior Major Donor Manager, this role will have great support and work with the team to grow the major donor portfolio and achieve a team target. Prospectus is thrilled to collaborate with our esteemed client, a leading global university, in their pursuit of a temporary Residence Hall Assistant. This role is dedicated to nurturing an environment conducive to the academic and personal development of residents. This is a full-time position (35 hours per week) looking to run until August 1st, situated onsite at least 4 days a week in Central London. Working hours are from 2pm to 10pm, Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday/Saturday. There will be an opportunity to work from home one day per week, on either on a Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday if that was a preference, use of own equipment would be required, although you can also work from the office on all days. Consideration may also be given for working Monday – Friday 2pm-10pm, if Saturday was not possible.
The responsibilities primarily revolve around activities across the university's London campus, encompassing weekly meetings, check-ins/checkouts. Core tasks include managing check-ins, room preparations, assisting students with roommate issues and room changes, addressing student complaints, updating access systems, managing room keys and guest passes, overseeing stock levels, and handling inquiries both in-person and via email.

The role:
The purpose of this role is to ensure effective, efficient and accurate day-to-day financial management and financial controls for the Fidelity UK and international Foundations, including leading on management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning and delivering the annual reports and accounts for all four Foundations. The post holder will prepare all finance papers for Board and Finance and Investment Subcommittee meetings and will support the oversight of the Foundations’ investment portfolios. This role will also be responsible for managing all payments made by the Foundations, in addition to ensuring risk and compliance guidelines are adhered to at all times.
The person
The successful applicant will have a detailed knowledge of accounting principles, ideally with experience of the charitable sector, and a strong track record of day-to-day financial management in a comparable role. You will have strong analytical skills and be able to demonstrate both operational and strategic thinking. You will have a proficiency in accounting (with a relevant finance qualification) and will be able to evidence the successful production of annual accounts and monthly reporting, ensuring monitoring against budgets. SCLF was established in 2016 with a 10-year mission and ten years of funding from John Swire & Sons Ltd with the objective of getting Mandarin Chinese more broadly taught in UK state schools across primary and secondary. This is a unique and interesting opportunity to join the organisation at a key point in its ten-year trajectory as it works to support schools to continue their language provision post 2026 and help shape what that future might look like.
The postholder will play a key role when it comes to supporting the Executive Director and Assistant Manager in their day-to-day roles and get very involved in the operations of the Foundation. The work will cover wide remit of areas including: financial administration, supporting with termly funding reports-and-request process for schools, preparing internal expense requests and maintaining the expenses log. You will support with the annual Grant Agreement extension process, general programme administration, the annual data requests and the organisation of annual assessment visits to Centres. The postholder will maintain relationships with the Foundation’s network of schools and other institutions. You will support with board administration, scheduling meeting dates, manage logistics and support with the preparation of papers. You will also support with event administration for two annual conferences and also sit in on many of the meetings which the Foundation holds with various stakeholders and take meeting notes where possible.
You will have strong verbal and written communication skills and experience working with and maintaining good relations with a variety of different stakeholders. You will have a thorough approach to tasks and attention to detail. You will have a curiosity about and interest in the work of the Foundation. You will be flexible and have an adaptable approach to tasks. You will be comfortable working within a small team and also be able to work on your own initiative. You will have sound computer skills (Microsoft Office 365). You will also have strong numeracy skills.
