This is an exciting opportunity for a major donor fundraiser to join CSW, to initiate and develop strong relationships with individuals and corporates who have the capacity to make significant donations to CSW and to steward these relationships towards deeper engagement with CSW year after year.

Key Responsibilities (a full list of responsibilities is listed in the Application Pack)

• Develop a Major Gifts strategy that delivers agreed income goals and leads to increased and multi-year financial commitments from Major Donors.
• Develop individual cultivation plans for Major Donors that provide opportunities for them to make impactful gifts, pray and campaign.
• Research and write funding proposals and cases for support and adapt as needed.
• Produce and send regular letters and reports demonstrating the impact of gifts.
• Develop relationships with a small pool of Corporates that leads to increased engagement and income generation.

You are an excellent communicator, self-motivated and passionate about enabling donors to channel their wealth to meet the greatest needs. You have strong inter-personal skills which you are able to use to build internal and external relationships. You are able to inspire people to make a difference through their giving and you are just as passionate about communicating the impact of their gift. • A minimum of three years’ major donor fundraising experience for a charity.
• Proven track record of securing five-figure and six-figure gifts from major donors.
• Experience of providing excellent stewardship to major donors.
• Excellent communication skills, especially verbal and written English
• Writing compelling funding applications/ proposals that match donors’ interests with CSW’s mission and activities.

About the role

A new and exciting opportunity to work with us across the England North region supporting our Liveable Cities and Towns and Paths for Everyone programmes, to encourage walking, wheeling and cycling to new and different users. 

As a Project Officer, you will organise and deliver engagement activities with local community groups, community leaders, businesses, schools and volunteers on our community led infrastructure and National Cycle Network projects. 

You will work with diverse groups within the community who may not currently use the National Cycle Network and enable them to use and look after their local route.

The project:

This role plays a critical part in coordinating the group offering for women accessing our services, as well as providing administration support across the region.

In short you will:

•    Be the first point of contact for clients coming to the Women’s Centre; offering a warm welcome and trauma informed approach. 

•    Hold responsibility for the Minerva telephone number and email account in your region. 

•    Assist in researching additional resources and events for service users; both within the Centre and across the region. 

•    Contribute to creating and lead on updating the local Services Directory with details of local organisations, key contacts and details of services on offer, including eligibility criteria.  

•    Assist the Service Manager in managing the smooth running of the Women’s Centre in your region, including managing the group workshops timetable, arranging meetings and booking external venues for client groups or training events.

•    Manage administration for the Kent Minerva team

•    Assist the Service Manager with the quality assurance and collation of data and information as required, including for funder reports.

The BNSSG VCSE Alliance exists to enable diverse VCSE organisations to engage and participate in system-wide changes to health and care services. We are seeking a VCSE Brokerage Manager to lead the development of a Brokerage Framework, which will provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach VCSE organisations.

About Us

The Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) VCSE Alliance launched in January 2024. It aims to influence and facilitate greater collaboration between the regional health system (BNSSG Integrated Care System) and the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (VCSE). It seeks to do this by enhancing the role of the VCSE sector in the delivery and transformation of wellbeing and health, and cementing our sector’s role as a key strategic partner in the planning, design and delivery of health and care, in its widest possible definition.  

The co-design of a new ‘VCSE Brokerage Framework’ with colleagues from the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and System (ICS) is a key priority for the VCSE Alliance in 2024-25. The aim of the Brokerage Framework is to provide a clear, fair, inclusive and proportionate way for health and social care system partners to reach a diverse range of VCSE organisations. The intention is for it to be a new process by which grants and opportunities can be distributed to the sector. 

This is a really exciting time to join the Alliance and deliver a new innovative process which has the potential to be transformative for Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

The Role

The VCSE Brokerage Manager’s role is to lead on the further development, piloting, and preparation for launch of the Brokerage Framework. The role will work closely with colleagues across the VCSE Alliance and the health and social care system. Ensuring that diverse VCSE organisations, from micro to large scale and that serve communities of interest, of place and of practice are included and enabled in the brokerage framework will be crucial to the success of this role.

KidsOut’s core mission is to provide support designed to improve emotional, educational and social outcomes for children and young people who are facing numerous adverse childhood experiences associated with domestic abuse, poverty, family breakdown or ill health. We do this by providing joy filled experiences, practical and emotional support, and facilitating therapeutic or educational initiatives that strive to empower each child or young person to overcome adversity, unlock their full potential, and flourish in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

KidsOut’s support is offered to every child in a Women’s Aid refuge and over 100 independent refuges as well as children and young people  experiencing crisis and challenge from some of the most marginalised and disadvantaged communities across the UK.  Many of the 70,000 children and young people we support have undergone traumatic experiences, which can cause significant harm to their psychological development, their emotional wellbeing, their school life and their relationships.

We aim is to restore some normality and provide comfort to these traumatised children and young people though our programme of wellbeing amd educational activities. Our multi-faceted activities include fun days out, music, sport and art workshops as well as delivery of our bespoke Toyboxes to every child arriving at refuge. Additionally, for young people struggling to cope with their mental health we collaborate with regional partners to offer face-to-face sessions that offer specialist support and coping strategies to build resilience and improve emotional wellbeing.

In your role of Trust and Partnerships Officer you will be actively involved in the provision of these positive initiatives by applying your excellent research and relationship management skills to help develop a pipeline of income from charitable trusts and corporate foundations with the potential to support our wide range of projects. You will identify and develop compelling applications to secure funding through various funding sources, that not only contributes to the financial team target but makes a difference to the UK's most vulnerable children. 

Key Duties:

• You will write compelling and successful funding applications to Charitable Trusts, Statutory funds and other grant making organisations.
• You’ll keep up to date on the UK grant funding market and trends
• You’ll build and maintain grants and partnership pipeline, seeking out new prospects and opportunities to support existing and new projects.
• You’ll ensure compliant and organised information filing on SharePoint and CRM to facilitate access to relevant information for colleagues and ensure smooth collaboration.
• You’ll produce and update internal income generation reports
• You’ll work flexibly, adapting to rapid changes and opportunities.
• Support volunteers and interns within the Grants and Partnership fundraising team.
• Work across teams to develop projects and align with funders criteria.
• You’ll collaborate across fundraising, sharing ideas, learnings and encouraging creativity and innovation.
•  You’ll be prepared to represent the team at workshops and events as required (may require occasional evening/weekend work).
• You’ll assist the Fundraising Team with other fundraising appeals/events when necessary.

MacIntyre Academies Trust is passionate about providing children and young people with life-changing education and support which enables them to build skills for life, achieve exceptional outcomes regardless of their starting point and build lifelong memories. The Trust runs 4 special schools and one children’s home. 

The Trust is part of the MacIntyre Care Group, a national charity founded in 1966 by a father, Ken Newton Wright, who wanted to ensure that disabled children could live and learn in an ambitious, child-centered and nurturing environment. Over 50 years later, this ideology remains at the heart of everything we do. 

Endeavour Academy was opened by the Trust in 2014, it consists of a Endeavour School and an on-site residential home, Endeavour House. Endeavour Academy is for children and young people with autism and moderate or severe learning disabilities.  The School and the House have separate leadership structures which work in close partnership, with some roles which work across both settings. 

Endeavour House provides 6 permanent placements and 5 short break places used for respite provision.  Since opening in 2014 the children’s home has had a strong track record in OFSTED judgements, with the more recent history presenting some challenges and opportunities for development. As the home approaches its 10th anniversary we are looking for an exceptional leader to take the home through the next chapter and drive forwards improvements. 

The Role 

As Head of Care (Registered Manager) you will have overall responsibility for the management, leadership and direction of the children’s home. You will work with the support of the Responsible Individual and the Trust Central Team. 

The role will be busy and varied and you will take the operational lead for all safeguarding matters. You will also be responsible for training and supervision. You must be willing to go above and beyond for the children and young people, ensuring that they have a positive experience of childhood that they can reflect upon and carry with them into adulthood. 

You will work in close partnership with the Principal and senior leadership team of the on-site school to ensure continuity of provision across the school and the home and the development of the 24-hour curriculum. 

About You 

You will be an inspirational and driven leader, with a strong track record of people management and ‘taking a team with you’. You will not be shy of a challenge, you will be innovative and solution focused. You will be passionate about team development and an experienced coach and mentor. 

You will have significant experience of working in a residential childcare setting, and you will have previous management experience. You will have a commitment to delivering high quality care according to OFSTED regulations. You will also have a good understanding of SCCIF guidelines to help focus on the things that matter most to children’s lives. 

You will have some in-depth knowledge of have Autism and Severe Learning difficulties and experience of designing bespoke solutions to children who requires specialist support strategies to achieve excellent outcomes.

A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care Services (Children and Young People’s Residential Management) qualification is a bonus but not essential as we support you to enroll and complete this. You must however have supervisory or management experience and have worked within a children’s residential setting within the last 5 years to meet OFSTED regulation requirements. 

You will hold a current UK Driving License and have access to a vehicle which can be used for business purposes.

Founded in 1903, Fauna & Flora International (FFI) is the world’s longest established international conservation organisation. Our vision is to create a sustainable future for the planet where biodiversity is conserved by the people living closest to it. We aim to do this through the conservation of threatened species and ecosystems worldwide, choosing solutions that are sustainable, based on sound science and take account of human needs. We have become a trusted entity in the world of conservation. Today FFI is active in over 40 countries.

On-farm biodiversity is key for providing ecosystem services within farmlands, as well as contributing to the resilience of biodiversity within the wider landscape. There is a growing body of research on how certain farmland management practices can support more on-farm biodiversity, and the beneficial impacts that this can provide to farmers (e.g., pollination). However, findings can vary greatly across studies, making it difficult to identify which agricultural practices can effectively increase biodiversity on farms. During this internship you will review the current knowledge, engage with in-country teams to capture their experiences, and develop management recommendations to help farmers to adopt practices which support more biodiversity on their farms, and so contributing to more ecologically resilient and biodiverse landscapes.

This internship will help you strengthen your skills in information synthesis and critical thinking, where you will work closely with agriculture-focused colleagues to develop guidance on what to consider when designing interventions for improving on-farm biodiversity. You’ll learn about the practicalities of implementing conservation projects in the field by interacting with agriculture staff from in-country teams and develop communication skills by engaging in meetings and developing and disseminating your findings (e.g. by developing recommendations, presenting results).

During this internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and work within the wider People & Nature team, by attending monthly meetings and discussions. Working within an international conservation organisation, you will learn from ongoing projects across the globe, to gain experience in biodiversity conservation within agricultural landscapes.

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about on-farm biodiversity and biodiversity-friendly agricultural approaches and has a strong interest in learning and knowledge exchange. You must be a team player, with the ability to develop and work on your own initiative and have strong interpersonal skills and consideration for working with individuals from diverse cultures and backgrounds.

Note that this internship has been designed to create a professional development opportunity for people who are new to the conservation sector. Therefore, applicants should have less than two years’ paid or unpaid experience in the conservation sector (not including academic work).
