We are looking for a Senior Community and Events Fundraiser for an inspiring hospice to join a team to maximise income and support from the community, individuals, groups and businesses.

The Role

NOAH Enterprise seeks to help the most disadvantaged in the local community, providing a practical, empowering and caring service to people who are struggling against homelessness and exclusion and have nowhere else to turn. Dedicated to recognising the potential in people who are at the margins of society and helping them realise it, NOAH Enterprise works with the whole person to find permanently and individually tailored pathways out of homelessness.

The consequences of the cost-of-living crisis and the aftermath of the pandemic means that the organisation expects to see increasing numbers of people seeking their help. They are entering an exciting phase of investment to ensure that the charity can provide the support that has been so vital to so many people for the past 30 years.

Following the success of the new NOAH Enterprise store in Hitchin, the Senior Store Manager will manage a new NOAH Enterprise flagship store and maximise profits by ensuring exceptional customer service standards, correct pricing, stock and window displays and the management of volunteers. They will also act as retail sales supervisor for 4 other NOAH stores and train staff and volunteers in consistent best practice.

Key responsibilities

* Customer Experience and Service: Welcome customers warmly, maintain an inviting atmosphere, and train and oversee retail staff to deliver exceptional customer service.
* Visual Merchandising and Operations: Maintain correct pricing, sizing, and stock displays. Ensure high standards of visual presentation and cleanliness in all areas.
* Team Management and Motivation: Set and communicate targets to shop teams, motivating them to achieve goals. Conduct regular floor walks to maintain standards and provide feedback.
* Promotions and Sales: Implement promotions in alignment with the guidance of the Retail Operations Manager. Actively promote Gift Aid and achieve conversion targets.
* Back of House Management: Manage and control stock effectively. Recruit and manage volunteers, collaborating with the Marketing Manager for recruitment materials. Maintain compliance with cash handling, security, health, and safety procedures and provide regular reporting to the Retail Operations Manager.

The Senior Shop Manager will have a minimum of three years' experience managing a charity or clothing retail store. The successful post holder will have experience in cybertil systems, an understanding of charity retail and solid customer service experience. You will have experience successfully managing staff and volunteers and demonstrate understanding and respect for NOAH Enterprise's values of Care, Compassion, and Commitment. The ideal candidate would have some knowledge and understanding of Fundraising and Marketing.

The role will be based in Hertfordshire where the new flagship store will be opening (exact location TBC). The successful post holder will need to take a flexible approach to working hours (within the scope of the agreed working week) and will need to work evenings and weekends on occasion. There is a TOIL policy in place for any additional hours worked. Occasional travel will be required for meetings, staff days and training. You will have a full driving license and access to your own transport. All travel expenses for work will be covered.

About the role

This vital role takes on a portfolio of Christian Aid's events, leading on the planning, production and delivery of these including holding the responsibility of project management and logistics for Christian Aid's presence at the Greenbelt Festival. The role holder will work closely with the senior leadership team and others across the department sharing knowledge, best practice and expertise. They will plan and evaluate, and deliver engaging events across England and the devolved Nations.

You will have knowledge and experience of successful event management and delivery of logistics. The Executive Management Administration team of 5, headed by the MD, run the organisation on a day-to-day basis. The team is supported by the REB board and committees, together with 3rd party providers for accounting, payroll, banking, media & public relations, website hosting and IT services.

Role and Responsibilities

New Position: Due to the increase in REB memberships and activities, a new full-time events role is being created to support the executive team.

Key Tasks – support the MD in creating and delivering a member engagement and events programme

1. Conception and collaboration of member events, through to completion

2. Promoting events to members, working alongside REB’s external PR/Communications agency

3. Managing event registrations and guest lists

4. Responsible for line managing the events administrator

5. Responsible for REB events planning, logistics, analysis (report & presentation) and follow-up actions

6. Attending meetings with members re event planning and development

7. Reporting quarterly to the board and attending board meetings with the Executive team

Detailed Responsibilities

1. Develop, manage and deliver REB’s event programme (working with MD and ED&I coordinator):

o upload event listings to website;

o prepare invitations;

o liaise with host venues;

o oversee registrations & comms;

o obtain event feedback

2. Monitor and evaluate events including reviewing feedback and attendance

3. Coordinate the CEO Breakfasts series

4. Maintain the Events page on the REB website

5. Maintain a database of venues

6. Identify, approach and secure appropriate speakers and participants for events

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

1. Events management and logistics

2. Knowledge (preferably working knowledge) of Microsoft Dynamics and Marketing

3. Knowledge (preferably working knowledge) of current best practices and trends in ED&I, including familiarity with key concepts (e.g. allyship, unconscious bias, intersectionality, etc.)

The Role:

Fundraising at Julian House is stepping into its next phase of growth, and we are looking for a strategic and innovative Senior Fundraising Manager to lead the team to new heights.

Fundraising generates vital income for the charity, helping us to provide life-changing and life-saving support for vulnerable people across the South West. We are looking for someone who can grow income across a range of streams in support of this mission, with a focus on regular giving, major donors, corporate partnerships, and legacies.

You will be leading a small team of committed, creative fundraisers, with the autonomy to establish new work streams from scratch and develop your team to help you deliver ambitious strategies and campaigns.

This is an exciting time to be joining Julian House, as the charity seeks to establish itself as a significant, force for tackling social exclusion across the South West. The Senior Fundraising Manager will play a pivotal role in this by developing new, high-impact relationships with individuals, businesses and trusts which generate meaningful income for the charity.

Responsibilities include: 

• Managing our wide-ranging fundraising portfolio, working with your team to maintain our existing supporter base and recruit new supporters for Julian House from across the South West.
• Working with the Fundraising and Marketing Director to develop new strategies for growth from regular givers, major donors, legacies, and corporate partnerships.
• Working with your team to bring new strategies to life, upskilling them to deliver as required.  
• Building and stewarding relationships with high-value supporters (individuals, corporates and trusts) to secure sustainable income.
• Creating and delivering inspiring annual fundraising appeals with your team which generate substantial income for the charity.
• Overseeing a calendar of fundraising events and community engagement in our Bath heartlands.
• Ensuring that the Donorfy CRM system is being used to its full potential to track performance of fundraising; target campaigns according to supporter profile; and report on the data we capture to shape current and future activity.

Qualifications / Requirements: 

• Significant knowledge and experience of a wide range of fundraising; with a demonstrable track record of growing income in at least two of our fundraising growth areas: legacies, major donors, corporate partnerships or regular givers.
• Experience of leading and implementing strategies, including setting and overseeing strategic projects led by others.
• Experience of using CRM systems to their full potential, interpreting donor data, analysing findings and making decisions based on your analysis. Knowledge and experience of the Donorfy platform is desirable, but not essential. 
• Knowledge of the homelessness or social inclusion sectors would be desirable, but not essential.

About the role

As Senior PR Manager, you will play a crucial role in raising the profile of Save the Children UK amongst key target audiences, by developing and delivering projects that command media attention and coverage. As a member of the PR, Artist & Broadcast team, you will be able to apply your experience working with the media to shape major fundraising and influencing campaigns and build our brand. • Identify and maximise opportunities to generate reactive media coverage, responding effectively to external events, news and the cultural conversation

• Develop and nurture close working relationships with journalists (especially those on features, women's, lifestyle, showbiz outlets) across print, digital and broadcast media - including a diverse range of outlets beyond mainstream media
• Represent Save the Children as spokesperson externally, networking and building relationships that support brand building activity in the media.

About you

To be successful, it is important that you have:

• Significant operational experience in mass-market PR, as a print or broadcast journalist, or equivalent professional media communications experience
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external contacts across diverse cultures, disciplines and time zones
• Solid experience developing and implementing PR campaigns for corporate clients, including cause-related events, co-branded marketing activity, global campaigns
• Excellent working knowledge of the media landscape – including national broadcast and press, women's, showbiz, tabloid and digital media – with a network of journalistic contacts.
• Excellent writing skills, including the ability to write and edit engaging copy for a range of audiences, across traditional and new mediums
• Ability to do ‘on call' rota work at weekends and out of hours

Are you a fundraising manager with experience in mass participation events? We’re hiring for a Senior Fundraising Manager to lead our Owned Events and Products team. This is a 12-month maternity cover contract.
 
You’ll be leading the Owned Events & Products team in the development and delivery of bespoke event, campaigns and products including our flagship event RBC Race for the Kids. You’ll work across the wider Fundraising and Marcomms teams, and with external stakeholders to lead a team to deliver new and existing products, meet ambitious targets and provide an exceptional supporter experience.
 
About You
 

• You’ll be a strong people manager and competent working with multiple stakeholders. 
• You’ll also be an experienced fundraiser, used to working towards ambitious targets, with a passion for event delivery, new product innovation and excellent supporter experience. 
• You’ll have experience of delivering mass participant products and events, and have a good understanding of marketing, stewardship and project management.

Owned Events & Products raise significant income and the team is a crucial part of the Mass Participation department, which sits within public fundraising. The Mass Participation department is also responsible for 3rd Party challenges events and virtual events, raising £6m per year overall.
