Connexional Worship Renewal Team Leader

Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2-3 days in the office.
We are offering a hugely exciting role to support Methodist worship renewal across The Connexion and to continue to enhance our wonderful communities of local preachers, worship leaders and musicians through the training and development programmes offered by The Methodist Church in Great Britain.

- Empower all of those leading worship through support and development.

This will include working strategically; embedding deep learning and practice; envisaging and developing exceptional training and resourcing for all those involved in worship leading; managing staff, workplans and budgets; and being responsible for the governance aspects which sit within this role.
About you
Thus, we are looking for someone who is a gifted ‘crafter of worship’ and preacher, with deep sensitivity for Methodist worship in its varied traditions, passion for excellence in Methodist worship and creative strategic thinker. You will care deeply about the communities of people who lead Methodist worship, working alongside them to enable all to lead worship which contributes to flourishing Methodist churches.
It is essential, therefore, that you are a presbyter, deacon or local preacher in The Methodist Church, have a deep understanding of Methodist – and wider – theology with an understanding of how to translate these for contemporary society. You will have an excellent understanding of current training structures for worship within The Methodist Church, alongside experience of leading and managing change in a complex organisation.
The team
The Ministries and Learning Team in which this role sits, is friendly, supportive, vibrant and passionate. Within this team, you will be line-managed by The Director of Ministry Development. The Team exists to equip the Methodist Church by training, developing and supporting those called by God to serve in lay and ordained ministry embedding the strategies which support the Church’s aspiration to be inclusive, justice seeking, evangelistic and growing.
The postholder will manage a small team and work widely with other teams, such as Evangelism and Growth, and across the wider Connexion.

The Position:
You will be joining our small, passionate NGO to manage our programme implementation and delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be tasked with managing the distribution and delivery of our programmes. Role Overview

Key duties
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising, membership and partnership strategy to support the Museum’s short and long-term goals

Experience (required)
- Proven leadership, ideally at least 5 years, in a similar role where philanthropic and grant income is central to the success of the organisation

Conditions of Work and Benefits

You will develop an audience-centric and insight-driven legacy marketing programme to attract and steward potential legators. You will also have line management responsibility and oversee our legacy administration work.

- Develop and manage our legacy fundraising, setting and achieving agreed targets to help us to grow our long-term legacy income.
- Plan, develop and implement high impact, audience-centric legacy marketing campaigns to attract new legacy pledgers, considerers and enquirers. This includes activity across a range of channels from social media, digital, telemarketing, direct mail and events.
- Develop and implement compelling supporter journeys to effectively steward potential legators.

We're on the lookout for a motivated Direct Marketing professional to bring their skills to our Individual Giving Team, with a focus on retention campaigns.
Direct Marketing plays an important role in the Charity’s fundraising and overall corporate strategy. We’re looking for a confident and proactive fundraiser to take responsibility for the delivery and ongoing development of our current retention programme.
You’ll deliver timely, targeted, relevant communications to our warm audiences; newly recruited and existing cash supporters and regular givers with the aim of strengthening loyalty and increasing their lifetime value.
With internal and external stakeholders, you’ll project manage existing direct marketing campaigns in the form of direct mail appeals, emails, telemarketing and occasional stewardship events. Play a strategic and leading role in the development and delivery of support programmes across Big Issue Changing Live CIC.
Big Issue Changing Lives CIC is looking for a Director for Programmes and Partnerships to lead the development and delivery of national programmes of support across Big Issue Recruit and Street Sales, test new ways of working and develop key partnerships to improve outcomes for people experiencing poverty across the UK.
You will also identify fundraising priorities, build national strategic partnerships, deliver a volunteer programme to improve engagement across local communities and lead on safeguarding across the CIC.

About the Role: Are you a passionate and experienced policy professional with a commitment to social justice? The Alliance for Youth Justice are seeking an Interim Policy Manager to lead our policy and public affairs work until 30th April 2026. As we develop our next strategic plan and give full and proper consideration to the staffing required to deliver it, the Interim Policy Manager will support us to deliver our current strategic and funded commitments. This is a critical role focused on influencing policy and systemic change for children in contact with the youth justice system, including a clear focus on developing a racial justice approach.

Who We're Looking For: You will have a strong background in policy and influencing work, with a proven ability to bring about change. You're a skilled communicator, a strategic thinker, and have a deep understanding of the political landscape and the issues affecting children in the youth justice system.

Competitive Salary: £33516 per annum for a 28 hour week (£41895 per annum pro rata).
