This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse and are staying in our Lambeth refuges. Our Lambeth refuges are culturally specific services for women and children of African and Caribbean heritage. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of casework.
Please note that this post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies. This role will also require an enhanced DBS check.

As our team lead, you’ll be providing the day to day management of our 3 Fundraising Executives.
You and your team will provide exceptional stewardship and customer care to our supporters, as well as project support to our wider Community and Events function. And will help coordinate a range of fundraising activities to achieve income targets.
As well as managing your direct reports you’ll support individuals who are taking part in our many challenge events or organising their own DIY fundraising. And there’ll be plenty of opportunities to attend events and see our work in action!

Providing the tools, advice and support they need to reach their potential, feel valued and form long term relationships that mean they continue to fundraise for us in future.
You’ll be super organised, fantastic at relationship building, enjoy creating processes, and have great customer care and communication skills. You'll work closely with our supporters, volunteers, local groups and our wider fundraising team.
You’ll be from a supporter or customer care background.
And ideally be able to demonstrate some understanding of community and events fundraising, supporter journey development, and extensive use of customer relationship databases.

Who will I be changing the lives of?
All of our learners are aged between 16-25 years, have some level of additional need and as a result have an Educational, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). Some of the most common areas of need that our learners experience are Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH), Autism (ASC), ADHD although we work with learners with a much broader range of needs.
Main Responsibilities
● To be responsible for a caseload of learners with EHCP's aged 16-25 years
● To act as the main point of contact for staff and services with SEND related queries
● To arrange and carry out Annual Reviews and PEP’s as well as completion and submission of all relevant paperwork, acting as chair for these meetings when required
● To assist the Change Leader with the transition process for learners starting at Really NEET as well as those learners leaving Really NEET
● Responsible for over-seeing the progression of learners on completion of the course
● Promote Inclusion best practice and contribute to the aims and ethos of the college

New Horizon Youth Centre runs a busy day centre from Monday to Friday, providing basic needs to young people experiencing homelessness and a one-stop-shop for housing advice, youth work activities, counselling, jobs, education and training support. The Services Manager (Day Centre) is a brand new role for the organisation. They will work as part of the existing Youth Work Team to provide vital additional capacity and expertise to respond to the significantly increased demand we have been experiencing. This role is primarily focused on delivering our frontline day centre service each week. You will spend around 2-3 days per week frontline as our Duty Manager ensuring the smooth running of the day centre. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating our weekly rota, line managing the team, overseeing our Locums, Students and Volunteers programme, supporting with donations and day centre stock, and delivering staff training . You should be passionate about supporting young people who are unsafe or facing homelessness, be able to motivate a multi-disciplinary team of staff and have the energy to problem solve in a fast-paced environment on a daily basis.

You will work with the Head of Services to ensure the service responds holistically to young people with multiple needs or barriers.
