The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring appropriate governance and compliance with charity commission requirements and our obligations to our funders.  Leadership experience in the charity sector or in a service organisation supporting people with disabilities is essential.

We are in the early stages of implementing our 10-year organisational strategy, ARUK: Towards a Cure. Sitting within the Chief Executive’s Office and reporting to the Project and Programme Manager, the Project Officer supports the scoping, planning, and delivery of strategic, cross-team projects and programmes. The post holder also supports the Project and Programme Manager in embedding project management best practice across the wider organisation.   

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Project Management

· Deliver key, strategic projects, as determined by the yearly Operational Planning process, working with project teams to develop flexible project plans that can adapt to change. 

· Manage project risks, decisions, and dependencies, liaise with third parties, and monitor project progress, ensuring stakeholders are updated at key checkpoints. 

· Lead project reviews to capture successes and learnings and ensure project outcomes are embedded into BAU. 

· Support the Project and Programme Manager and Head of Programme Management on other ongoing projects and programmes as and when required.

Promotion of project management best practice

· Maintain ownership of the Projects team intranet pages and project management resources, for use by colleagues across the organisation. 

· Provide tailored project management consultations to empower colleagues to deliver their own in-team projects. 

· Support the Project and Programme Manager on delivering the ARUK Project Management Masterclass.

What we are looking for:

· Experience managing projects, including allocating tasks and managing risks, decisions, and changes. 

· Sound knowledge of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile).

· Demonstrable ability to work with and influence a variety of different internal and external stakeholders at all levels. 

· Working knowledge of project management tools, such as Excel, Smartsheet, MS Projects or similar. 

· Excellent communication skills, with an ability to build relationships, trust, and inspire confidence and respect at all levels.

· Strong team player who can work both independently and collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders of all levels.

· Excellent planning and organisational skills, and the ability to manage a varied workload and reprioritise work in accordance with the organisation’s needs.

· Excellent listening skills, demonstrating flexibility, curiosity, and an ability to learn.

· Demonstrates good negotiation and influencing skills.

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Young Start distributes money from dormant accounts on behalf of the Scottish Government to projects that are run for and by young people aged eight to 25. Since 2012, it has distributed over £60 million to thousands of projects across Scotland. 

You will be part of the Communications and Engagement team responsible for telling the story of our Young Start funding in Scotland to a variety of audiences.

You will also provide communications support and advice to a recently established Young Start development team tasked with ensuring that children and young people are better engaged with and centred in the work of the Young Start funding programme. 

Responsibilities include:
•Leading on all regular announcements of Young Start funding to the media and stakeholders
•Interviewing young people behind the projects to produce content for media features, case studies and online social media channels
•Supporting our funding teams to deliver Young Start customer communications 
•Managing the yearly production of the Young Start Annual Report, at the request of the Scottish Government.
•Supporting the Young Start team to deliver its work putting young people front and centre of the Young Start programme.

About you

You will be comfortable speaking to children and young people about the impact that the funding is making in their lives and telling their stories with duty of care and a creative and engaging approach.
You will be collaborative in nature and enjoy working proactively and in partnership with colleagues across the fund. An open, supportive and flexible team working approach is necessary.

About the role 

This is an exciting opportunity to work with Sustrans as part of our Strategic Communications team. 

As the Internal Communications Officer you will work collaboratively with diverse teams across the organisation, to schedule and produce a range of inspiring, informative and engaging internal communications. 

Working with the Internal Communications and Engagement Manager, you will conceive and create compelling content for a range of channels including Sustrans intranet and a weekly newsletter. You will also help manage and run Sustrans monthly all-colleague webinars.

We are looking for a Parliamentary Officer to support the management and administration of the Christians in Parliament All Party Parliamentary Group (CiP) as part of a team of three staff.  

CiP exists to support all Members and staff in their work in Parliament, commending the relevance of the Christian faith to personal and political life. 

This is a full-time role, but there is potential to discuss flexible working options.

Based in the Houses of Parliament, your work will include:

Having been through a period of growth, our small team is expanding! You will lead on content for our website, newsletter and social media channels, helping us to reach new audiences and translate complex ideas into accessible and engaging short videos, infographics and other images.

We are searching for a new strategic leader at Bloody Good Period. The Head of Communications and Campaigns will play a pivotal and strategic role in delivering creative and effective campaigns and comms that align with our wider influencing work, maximising opportunities to influence change as we approach a General Election, and beyond. 

Bloody Good Period’s brand and communications have had huge traction and influence in the last few years. Our mission of menstrual equity resonates strongly with a range of stakeholders including individual supporters, corporates, parliamentarians and celebrities, and we have developed a strong brand which is frequently sought after for high-profile partnerships.

We are also dialling up the activist movement quality of our work, building on strong foundations in terms of our brand, reputation and relationships. We think menstrual equity is a bedrock of renewing and improving the way the UK works, and the way we campaign for that and communicate our thoughts and demands will always be fundamental to our success in achieving our mission.

The Head of Communications and Campaigns will be working across the organisation, and crucially alongside our Experts by Experience forum, strengthening our communication strategy whilst developing and implementing an ambitious campaign strategy to engage and mobilise both existing and new supporters.

BRAC’s office in Europe provides vital support for BRAC’s development work around the world through fundraising and communications, building impactful, long-term relationships with partners, whether they be foundations, companies, Governments or major donors. BRAC office in Europe also plays a key role in engaging with and influencing policymakers and practitioners to tackle extreme poverty across Europe.

To achieve its ambitious goal, BRAC is seeking partnerships with like-minded organisations and allies across Europe. It has an ambitious target to grow its funding from the European market to GBP 100 million over the next 24 months. To achieve its ambition BRAC is building a specialised team of partnerships specialist to be based across key European markets i.e. Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany, UK and Switzerland.

The Foundations Officer will work as part of the Partnerships team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts, foundations and corporates. The Foundations Officer plays a pivotal role in advancing BRAC’s mission by stewarding partnerships with philanthropic and corporate foundations and creating new business opportunities to deliver on BRAC’s mission.
