The Role

As the Senior Stewardship Manager at Social Mind you will be accountable for the overall delivery of our stewardship and community management services.

You will lead the strategic development of this service area helping to elevate our stewardship practices, ensuring they are closely aligned with the objectives of our charity partners and the evolving needs of their supporters.

You will lead and mentor our Stewardship Manager and their team, guiding them all in delivering exceptional supporter journeys and community management initiatives.

Your leadership will ensure that our stewardship approach is proactive, data-driven, and continuously optimised to enhance campaign performance and supporter satisfaction.

Social Mind are experts at using social fundraising to drive income and engagement. From product innovation, journey design and campaign builds to virtual event management, we support charities in delivering successful campaigns at scale.

Our fundraising platform, Social Sync, aims to revolutionise the sector with integrated social fundraising campaigns and behavioural, omni-channel supporter journeys. We empower charities to raise more money through integrated Facebook and white label fundraising pages, build stronger relationships with sophisticated, personal journeys and we unlock supporter potential with meaningful insights.

Key Responsibilities

Campaign Delivery

• Strategic Stewardship Planning: Working collaboratively with the management team you will develop and implement a forward-looking stewardship strategy that aligns with our key objectives and the fundraising goals of our charity partners.
• Campaign Leadership: Work with the Campaign Manager to own the delivery and direction of stewardship in live fundraising campaigns, ensuring they meet or exceed income targets while delivering outstanding supporter experiences.
• Brand Protection: Ensure all stewardship activities are executed to the highest standards, safeguarding the brand and reputations of our business and our charity partners in every interaction.
• Performance Optimisation: Drive continuous improvement in fundraising outcomes by leveraging data insights, supporter feedback, and industry trends to inform stewardship and community management activities.

Supporter Experience

• Service Excellence: Establish and maintain high standards of customer service across all stewardship and community management activities, ensuring that all interactions reflect the values, goals and tone of our charity partners and meet agreed SLAs. You will also act as a subject matter expert on client calls working closely with our Customer Success team.
• Supporter Satisfaction: Monitor and analyse supporter feedback, responding swiftly to issues and opportunities to enhance the supporter experience.
• Safeguarding and Compliance: Ensure all stewardship and campaign delivery activities adhere to safeguarding protocols, data protection laws, and industry best practices, maintaining the highest standards of compliance and ethical conduct.
• Innovation in Stewardship: Identify opportunities for innovation within stewardship and community management, proposing new approaches to enhance campaign effectiveness and supporter engagement.

People Management and Team Building

• Leadership and Vision: Provide strategic leadership to the stewardship team, setting clear objectives, inspiring innovation, and driving accountability.
• Recruitment and Resource Management: Lead the recruitment and talent acquisition process to attract, select, and onboard top talent, ensuring the team is equipped with the skills and expertise needed to achieve strategic goals and that all campaigns are supported by a fully resourced team.
• Coaching and Development: Implement tactical coaching and mentoring that enable team members to develop within their roles and achieve their full potential.
• Performance Management: Oversee performance management for the stewardship team, ensuring that objectives and key results (OKRs) are aligned with both individual career development and organisational goals.

Skills and Knowledge

• Strategic Leadership: Proven experience in leading and executing strategic initiatives ideally within a fundraising or nonprofit environment.
• Fundraising Expertise: Deep understanding of fundraising principles, supporter engagement strategies, and the nonprofit sector.
• Customer Service Excellence: A strong track record of delivering exceptional customer service and managing stakeholder relationships at a senior level.
• Team Development: Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and professional growth.
• Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in using data and analytics to drive decision-making and optimise campaign performance.
• Compliance Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Charity Law, Data Protection Law, The Fundraising Code of Practice, and other relevant standards across the UK.

NSUN is a charity and a membership organisation. We are a network of grassroots, user-led mental health groups and people with lived experience of mental ill-health, distress and trauma. We connect, support and amplify the voices and work of our membership and work towards the redistribution of power and resource in mental health. 

We are looking for someone with relevant skills to develop and deliver NSUN’s policy strategy and policy/campaigns projects. NSUN takes a critical, political and rights-based approach to policy work at, centering social justice, anti-oppression, and the social and material determinants of distress and trauma. We want to work intersectionally, and do not consider ourselves to be a “single-issue” organisation. 

The Policy Manager will play a key role in creating collaborative spaces with members and partners to build momentum and sustainability for lived experience-led mental health policy and campaigns work. Though we do analyse, respond to, and engage with traditional policy mechanisms such as parliamentary processes and legislative change, our focus is more on building an alternative approach and challenging traditional silos at a time where the external environment is one of hostile and unjust structures, systems, and legislation. 

We are keen to hear from people with less traditional policy experience, such as experience of community organising: while this is not an entry-level position, you do not necessarily need to have traditional policy and influencing experience. NSUN is a user-led organisation, and all staff and trustees have lived experience of mental ill-health, distress or trauma.

£41,189 per annum (London based) / £38,390 per annum (National based)

As the audience insight manager at TCS, you will help us to put our audiences at the heart of everything we do. You will use your knowledge of our target audiences, the wider charity market and our brand to inform effective and creative decision-making on campaigns and activities.

You'll help us to optimise activity and innovate by bringing insight together from a range of sources (primary and secondary) to ensure we are always audience first and insight led. You'll be responsible for horizon scanning and trend analysis to ensure colleagues across social impact stay abreast of new developments in and outside the sector. And you'll oversee our brand tracking and audience testing and will be responsible for managing and delivering qualitative and quantitative research projects liaising with external agencies as well as internal stakeholders.

With previous experience in an insight, strategy or research role, you will be an expert at interrogating qualitative and quantitative information; able to pick out the most useful points and build a persuasive strategy through effective story telling. You're proactive and excel at building strong stakeholder relationships. And you're always looking for new and better ways of gathering insight.

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Experience of conducting primary research (quantitative and qualitative)

-A good understanding of the charity sector

Finance and Resources Manager (Full Time)

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.  

Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. AAFDA’s prime function is to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.

As a growing charity, AAFDA is looking for an exceptional candidate to join our supportive team and lead our finance and resource management functions. The role will provide and manage the HR, administration and finance activities of the charity and sit within the Senior Leadership Team.

Refugee Council – Philanthropy Manager

Refugee Council is seeking an experienced philanthropy specialist to develop and grow the Refugee Council’s Philanthropy relationships and programme and deliver an ambitious Philanthropy strategy.

Refugee Council is a leading charity supporting refugees and people seeking asylum to rebuild their lives in safety here in the UK.  Providing practical, hands on support, their award winning services include welcoming refugees into local communities across the country, providing specialist children’s services – with a particular focus on refugee children who arrive here alone, helping people to navigate the asylum system, and supporting people to access housing and employment.  Evidence from services is then used to also inform the charity’s leading policy and influencing work, including campaigning for a fairer and kinder refugee protection system.  The charity works with more than 14,000 men, women and children every year.

As a result of growing need and increasing interest in Refugee Council’s work, the charity has ambitious plans to make a leap in impact, with investment in their Philanthropy Team to raise increased funds from key high value audiences.

This role will be a critical part of the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team and presents an exciting opportunity to grow Refugee Council’s established Philanthropy programme. The role will be responsible for delivering and creating bespoke development plans, supported by engaging cultivation and stewardship activities to secure increased funding from existing and new donors. It will also be a key point of contact for key Major Donors and high-profile supporters, patrons and ambassadors.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and experienced Communications and Events Manager to join our small but very impactful team.

This role is essential in enhancing the visibility and impact of our charity's vital work. You will do this through effective communication outputs, with a focus on digital, and well-organised virtual, regional and national events.

The Communications and Events Manager will lead on overall execution of TSA communications and events, working closely with the Joint Chief Executive. The role is one of the most front-facing and proactive offered at the TSA.

Key responsibilities

Communications

• Lead in the development of communication outputs across all aspects of the TSA’s work in support and information, research, fundraising and campaigning. This will include a major focus on filmed media and editing of short clips as well as building a library of case studies
• Lead in the development of an effective internal and external communications strategy. The strategy should provide direction on how communications pieces are created internally, as well as how communications are presented to different audiences
• Lead in ongoing content development for the TSA’s daily activities. This includes managing content creation for the website, social media platforms and monthly e-newsletter
• Have a major role in development of Scan, our twice-yearly physical magazine
• Develop excellent relationships with key internal stakeholders at all levels by providing direction and support for all TSA teams in their communications needs, such as reviewing and editing fundraising and research materials
• Proactively identify and fulfil opportunities to raise awareness of TSC in the broader media, such as newspapers and other media

Events

• Manage and oversee all aspects of TSA face-to-face events. Our events include the annual community event ‘Big Day’, and our annual event for adults mildly affected by TSC (called ‘Outlook’)
• Manage and oversee our range of monthly virtual events. Including bookings, forward planning and ongoing calendar management of future events and speakers

About Black Thrive 

Black Thrive Global (BTG) evolved from the work of the Black Thrive Lambeth Partnership, which was established in 2016. We exist to address the inequalities that negatively impact the mental health and wellbeing of Black people so that the thriving of Black communities is the norm. 

Our guiding principle is that Black communities should be at the forefront of reimagining, redefining and co-creating a society where systemic racism and other oppressive systems have been dismantled so that they have fulfilling lives. We have two priorities – building a Black Thrive Research Institute and embedding race equity in systems change. 
 
In September 2021 we launched our Thriving Futures Collective which has expanded the work of Black Thrive Lambeth and launched Black Thrive in Haringey and Birmingham, with Mind in Haringey and Catalyst4Change as our partners. 

We have grown rapidly since 2021 and so still have a start-up culture and often deal with competing priorities at a fast pace. As such we are seeking team members who can be responsive to change, adapt seamlessly to evolving projects, uphold momentum in their work, and remain steadfast in their commitment to the broader organisational purpose. 

Purpose of the role 

As the Programme and Partnerships Manager = Thriving Futures, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation of the Thriving Futures programme, ensuring effective collaboration with partner organisations to advance Black Thrive’s mission. Relationship building with the localities teams is an important element of the role. 

The Thriving Futures workstream is undergoing a strategic shift, focusing on key areas identified during its three years of operation. This includes intentional co-learning, community feedback through Black Thrive Community Assemblies, development of community metrics, and refining our role and offerings as a backbone organisation. 
 
The role entails managing the programme’s day to day activities, ensuring alignment with the programme's objectives and goals, procuring additional funding resources and managing a Project Officer. You can anticipate working with different combinations of Black Thrive locality workstreams. Your responsibilities will vary, encompassing project management, financial oversight, strategic development, communications activities, as well as engaging in learning, reflection activities and research. 

The role also has responsibility for assisting in writing and delivering grant applications and bids to major funders to secure funding to support the work of the programme. 

Duties and responsibilities 

1. Lead on the planning, execution and monitoring for delivering the Black Thrive Global Thriving Futures programme and other activities related to the achievement of the programme objectives and milestones. 

2. Engage with and provide support to the Thriving Futures Collective partners (Lambeth, Haringey and Birmingham), staying informed about their activities and aligning initiatives with project requirements.

3. Develop and deliver comprehensive project plans, schedules and budgets to ensure timely and efficient delivery of projects. While maintaining meticulous administrative and electronic systems to ensure the fulfilment of key project deliverables and dependencies, aligning with project goals and timelines. 

4. Provide guidance, support and supervision to the Thriving Futures Project Officer responsible for supporting the programme’s operations.
