About The Role
We’re looking for a creative, proactive and digitally savvy Social Media and Content Assistant to join our Communications team. You’ll support the planning, creation and delivery of engaging content across our social media channels, with a particular focus on Instagram and TikTok.

Key Responsibilities
- Spot and recreate viral trends, adapting them into engaging content for Youth Music’s audiences.
- Confidently use TikTok and Instagram features, trending sounds, and best practices to boost reach and engagement.
- Support in planning, creating, editing and scheduling content (Reels, TikToks, Stories, carousels, graphics, blogs).
- Capture and share content from live events, including NextGen community events, festivals, and project visits (occasional evenings and weekends required)
- Oversee our social media channels on your working days, monitoring all channels (TikTok, Instagram, Threads, Facebook, YouTube and LinkedIn) and liaising with the Digital Content Lead to ensure that messages and comments are responded to promptly and appropriately.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
The Senior Challenge Events Manager maternity cover role is crucial to ensure a smooth delivery of a busy portfolio of challenge events in 2026, forecast to bring in £2.8million - plus some planning for 2027. We need someone to step into this role to continue driving our growth strategy – where we are one year into a three year plan. This department’s work is vital for the continual diversification of our income, through expanding our portfolio of challenge events and recruitment of new participants. This department includes all of our third party challenge events, including the London marathon, as well as our bespoke ‘CoppaTrek!’ programme.
Leading a team of five, the Senior Challenge Events Manager will need to hit the ground running to oversee all events booked in, providing hands-on support for these events. Unusually, the Bespoke Challenge Events Manager (the manager covering the work on treks at CoppaFeel!, a direct report for this role) will also be a maternity cover role for the same period of time. This elevates the need for clean, organised and focused delivery of our events.
The Senior Challenge Events Manager will also need to represent the challenge events team internally to integrate them into the wider organisational goals, contributing to a fundraising culture at CoppaFeel!.
In addition to overseeing the delivery of 2026, the Senior Challenge Events Manager will need to prepare and plan for 2027, and work with other teams to successfully launch them towards the end of 2026. They will be required to create the budget for 2027’s events including all phased income and expenditure.
As this is an events role, you will be required to attend events out of hours and can take TOIL according to our policy. This includes attending multi day treks which we host both in the UK and abroad. In 2026, there will be three multi day treks (June, July and September – one in UK and two abroad) and two One Day treks (on weekends in June and September). There will be many challenge events in the Spring and Autumn seasons. Therefore, please bear in mind that as part of this role, you will be expected to travel and stay away from home for up to 9 days at a time. The benefit being you get to see some incredible parts of the world and meet amazing people.
In terms of the office, it is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office two days per week.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Duties and Responsibilities
Portfolio Delivery
- Deliver the challenge events programme and support the team to raise 2.8 million pounds in 2026.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of our CoppaTrek! Events to raise income target of 2.3 million pounds, with direct input and management when required.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of our Sporting Challenge Events, to raise £500,000, often attending events and supporting on-the-day when required.
- Oversee and support with delivery of the current strategies in place to grow the portfolio of Challenge Events, driving the increase in the number of participants and revenue.
- Oversee and support with delivery of the current strategies in place to grow the income from CoppaTrek! In 2026 and beyond.
- Manage the budget for the full events department, working closely with the Director of Fundraising.
- Maximise on any opportunities to improve our Treks and making them more efficient/sustainable year-on-year.
- Be embedded in the management of the treks day-to-day, to celebrity recruitment and retention, and volunteer management.
- Plan 2027 portfolio in line with growth strategy, and support Bespoke Challenge Events Manager with 2027 trek launch towards the end of 2026.
Managing Key Stakeholders
- Liaise with and support all celebrities signed up for our treks, and potentially support in sourcing celebrities.
- Lead on the PR for challenge events, working with the PR and Marketing team to publicise events throughout the year, often working closely with high profile supporters to do so.
- Harness excellent relationships with key suppliers (such as Charity Challenge, our trek supplier) to ensure CoppaFeel! Receive the best support and prices for 2026 and beyond.
- Work with partnerships team to secure trek sponsors and support with year-round relationships.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Monitor, analyse and ensure donor journeys/supporter experiences are appropriate and successful for both Challenge Events and Treks.
- Ensure CoppaFeel!’s events reflect sector trends and are able to compete with other charity portfolios where possible.
- Understand and advocate for supporters, inspiring them to engage and fundraise, ensuring our thanking and engagement strategies encourage long term support and repeat giving.
- Ensure ROI and key performance metrics are used to make evidence based decisions and are kept to the best we can manage.
- Report on events to the Heads of Department to update and alert them to all opportunities for cross team working.
Team Support and Management
- Lead and inspire the Challenge Events Team to meet their objectives and live the CoppaFeel! values.
- Line manage the Challenge Events Manager and Bespoke Challenge Events Manager, and oversee the management of our more junior team members ensuring they have an annual performance review, learning and development plans, KPI’s, and are supported to meet their fundraising targets.
- Champion cross team collaboration, finding a way to embed fundraising across the CoppaFeel! culture whilst also demonstrating an understanding of other team’s priorities and strategies.
- Responsible for the knowledge of regulation relevant to Challenge Events including GDPR, Gift Aid, VAT and fundraising best practice.
- Work with the Head of Finance on budgeting, reporting, re-forecasting income and ROI.
- Produce progress reports as required to the Director of Fundraising.

- Keep diary and shared calendar up-to-date, shared communications across the organisation including desk booking systems, People HR, Weekly Round Up and contribute to team meetings.
- Ensure excellent financial records are kept including invoicing, contracts for suppliers, cheques and cash collections, and team expenses, following CoppaFeel! finance policies.

We’re looking for a Communications Manager to work in our small but mighty Brand & Marketing team (who were shortlisted for Communications Team of the Year at last year’s Third Sector Awards, no biggie) to raise the charity’s profile, drive income and demonstrate the impact our charity makes across the hospitals.
Job Summary
Ensure effective delivery of the charity’s marketing and communication plans to raise the charity’s profile, generate income, achieve our fundraising targets and demonstrate the impact the charity makes to its beneficiaries.
Working with the Head of Brand & Marketing, you will play a key part in activating our new five-year strategy and successfully communicating our new organisational purpose. You’ll master the art of engaging with a wide range of stakeholders in both University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust (UHBW) and the wider community to join us in doing great things.
You are our lead press contact and will work with local, regional and national media and partner PR teams to amplify the charity’s voice further and generate increased coverage of Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity (BWHC).
You’ll lead on key marketing activity, including fundraising events, campaigns and appeals, including the annual Christmas campaign.
Central to the role is ensuring we have excellent relationships with our NHS colleagues and hospital staff to enable us to identify storytellers, building on our “one team” approach and delivering impact reporting.
You’re our go-to person for our celebrity champions ensuring they are well looked after and engaged with our campaigns and appeals for additional reach and endorsement.
Key Accountabilities
Share meaningful content and powerful stories
- Lead the creation of specific charity key messaging and a case for support per project (e.g., Christmas, appeals) and ensure this is adhered to throughout all communications
- Understand our different audiences, utilising research and insight, and target communications accordingly
- Work closely with our fundraising teams on a content plan and delivery of communications, understanding the importance of stewardship, internal communications and our calendar of events
- Develop our impact portfolio, including the creation and design of the annual impact report
- Sensitively interview our storytellers, including patients, fundraisers and hospital staff, ensuring we’re using authentic voices throughout our communications
- Work closely with our grants team to ensure visibility around the hospitals
- Edit website content and ensure our news section is up to date
- Plan, create and post content on BWHC’s social media channels
- Create and submit content for UHBW’s Viva Engage that increases awareness and engagement with the charity, working closely with the internal and external UHBW communications teams to utilise other UHBW channels where available
- Lead on the content and design of Reach, our supporter newsletter, creating engaging and impact driven content
- Commission new photography and video, including obtaining permissions and consent for use. Monitor our image database to ensure it is compliant with GDPR.
- Create engaging video content promoting events, appeals or impact as and when relevant.
Champion our marketing campaigns
- Lead the promotion, activity and implementation of integrated marketing plans and materials as and when required across the year
- Manage the marketing materials workplan for the Brand & Marketing team
- Be the Brand & Marketing team lead on fundraising events, ensuring they have a good ROI and hit the fundraising/sign up target
- Work with the Head of Brand & Marketing to ensure any opportunities that arise from our partnership with NHS Charities Together and other charity partners are optimised
- Play a key role in the development and promotion of new ways of income generation, including merchandising.
Forge connections with PR teams and journalists
- Develop effective contacts and build personal relationships with local journalists and partner PR teams to initiate coverage and build strategic partnerships
- Lead communications activity for key national celebration/awareness days that BWHC can maximise income or engagement on
- Support colleagues with media interviews and delivering presentations, including supplying briefings or FAQs where necessary
- Monitor media coverage to ensure effective evaluation and reporting
- Lead on crisis communications planning and response and advise the Senior Management team as necessary.
Lead by example with internal communications and reporting
- Support the Head of Brand & Marketing with the quarterly team trustee report
- Provide data for analysis, KPI monitoring and internal reports
- Guide our internal communications to ensure BWHC staff are engaged and understand the activities and direction of the charity, including leading on Viva Engage
- Provide content for speeches, presentations and executive materials
- Work to continually improve internal processes to ensure they are effective and fit for purpose
- Support the CEO on LinkedIn content planning and creation
- To provide cover for colleagues during periods of absence and holiday.
Drive planning and budgeting
- Support the Head of Brand & Marketing in the development of the short and long-term Brand & Marketing strategies, business plans and budgets, prioritising workload across the year
- Manage the budget throughout the year and ensure any unexpected variance can be explained or accounted for
- In particular, lead, direct and deliver a new annual communications strategy, which includes our press and public relations strategy and our digital content/activity plan (working closely with the Digital & Communications Officer)
- Be an engaged member of the Management Team, contributing effectively to all departmental plans
- Manage and record any accompanying communications expenditure within the Brand & Marketing budget following correct ordering and purchase order procedures.
Lead and manage
- Line manage and offer direction to our two Digital & Communications Officers, ensuring they are supported in their tasks and responsibilities and meet their KPIs and performance targets
- Hold regular 121s, appraisal meetings and discuss training requirements/plans
- Support with the recruitment and management of our UHBW Charity Champions and ensure they are engaged, informed and convey key charity messaging
- Manage the relationship with our Celebrity Champions and ensure they are active and engaged with the charity and utilising their networks to maximise charity benefit and awareness.

Handel Hendrix House care for and present to the public the homes of two of the greatest musicians to have ever lived in London: George Frideric Handel and Jimi Hendrix. The charity presents these buildings as an evolving celebration of Handel and Hendrix’s lives, sharing their music, stories, and collections as a source of learning, enjoyment, and inspiration for all. The museum has undergone extensive renovations, and expanded the museum’s footprint to create an engaging visitor attraction reaching at least 30,000 visitors per year.
This is a great opportunity to make an impact within as the interim Museum Commercial Manager. You will lead on all commercial activities at Handel Hendrix House delivering against targets for visits, retail and venue hire.
You will oversee the museum’s ticketing operations and merchandising offer, ensuring a seamless and welcoming visitor experience while maximising income through both admissions and retail sales.
The day-to-day marketing and digital activities will be managed by the Marketing and Fundraising Officer, however you will work together with colleagues to ensure that the Handel Hendrix House commercial offer reflects the brand and values of the organisation. Working closely with an external commercial events partner you will promote Handel Hendrix House as a desirable venue for hire, maximising income.
The successful candidate will demonstrate:

The Community Fundraising team is looking for a Direct Marketing Manager (maternity cover), who will support our work in developing, promoting, and analysing our portfolio of Community Fundraising products to attract new and diverse audiences to raise vital funds for nature.
The post holder will support the launch of our Do It Yourself (DIY) fundraising product, as well as supporting In Aid Of (IAO) fundraising activity across the UK.
