The Boaz Trust Hampshire Limited.
Boaz is a small independent charity providing day services for adults with learning disabilities (members) in a beautiful farm setting near Winchester.
Founded upon a strong Christian ethos it is the “workplace” for around 30 adults for four days a week undertaking a range of horticultural tasks as well as cooking, craft, animal care and woodwork. Some members attend for just a half day, others several days a week.
The charity has a small staff team, supported by around 50 volunteers, working together to ensure our members have a rewarding and meaningful experience gaining valuable life skills.
Reporting to the Manager, the role of Deputy Manager is responsible for general day to day office management, leading the Project in the Manager’s absence and taking the lead in the kitchen, working with members to provide a daily healthy vegetarian meal for around 20 people.
Experience in the charity/volunteer sector, along with a catering/ kitchen background or love of cooking, as well as previous work with adults with learning disabilities, would be an advantage.
The position is site based, Monday to Friday 8.30 to 4.30
Benefits include 20 days holiday rising to 25 with service, statutory holidays, pension and sick pay provision.
Salary, depending upon experience, is up to £31,500.

Suitable candidates will be:
- Educated to degree level equivalent.

- Inspired by the witness of Christians in the Middle East and passionate about changing the lives of people living in grinding poverty, injustice, disability, trauma and displacement caused by conflict, and other challenges.
- Willing to carry out overseas travel to the region 3-4 times a year.

- Advanced or intermediate Arabic would be advantageous.

About the Role
The Africa Death Penalty Team Project Manager is responsible for coordinating Reprieve’s litigation and advocacy in Sub-Saharan Africa. At the moment, the team works on death penalty casework and abolition advocacy in Malawi, Tanzania, and Kenya. Our casework includes work on individual cases on behalf of people facing a death sentence; large-scale projects, such as the Kenya resentencing project, wherein we support stakeholders to ensure 5,000+ people are able to access a chance at reducing their sentence from death via a new sentence hearing; and long-term regional projects, such as our strategic litigation before the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights, which challenges the mandatory death penalty, torture, and other associated violations of the African Charter.
Regional context
There is a trend toward the abolition of the death penalty in Africa. In recent years, countries across the continent have taken the decision to limit the application of the death penalty or to abolish it altogether. This has been seen as a turning away from old laws and systems that were imposed by former colonial governments, which obstructed alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and were designed to remove discretion from the local judiciary. African lawyers and judges are now at the forefront of a wave of progressive jurisprudence on issues related to the death penalty including methods of executions, torture, sentencing practice, conditions of confinement, and intersections of gender, disability, and socioeconomic status with criminal justice. This jurisprudence has become a model for the international movement to limit the death penalty, and is being held up as best practice in jurisdictions around the world.
Contract and location
This is a full-time, permanent role based in Reprieve’s London office. Reprieve operates a hybrid working model with staff working part of the week from home and part of the week from the office. Applicants must have the current right to work in the UK, which will be checked prior to interview.
Your presence is important during core office hours, whether remotely or in the office. You will also be available outside of office hours in the event of an emergency, for example case developments that require urgent action. This is a role that may require travel.
The annual salary is £50,571 full-time per annum, less any required deductions for income tax and national insurance.

As a Community Shop Manager for St Giles Hospice you will lead a team of paid staff and volunteers. You’ll be empowered to make decisions locally whilst working within a supportive framework. You’ll work within and for your local community ensuring that engagement and support is understood and promoted.
You’ll have great commercial skills, an understanding of why customer service is key and want to be part of a successful team. Ideally you’ll have previous retail management experience, be able to demonstrate strong leadership and have the ability to work with and motivate any team.
Reporting into a Regional Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that your store runs efficiently and delivers a positive financial contribution to the Hospice. You’ll also have the support of a Regional Supervisor, available to provide encouragement and development of best practice.
The estate includes 22 shops and e-commerce operation with a turnover of approx. £3million which supports the overall income generation strategy.

With a proven track record in programme management, you will ensure successful implementation of high-impact projects together with our local partners including the roll out of our innovative ForestLink real-time monitoring system. You'll propose ways to strengthen and expand the programme, coordinate with key stakeholders, and represent this work externally. Reporting to the Head of Programmes, your responsibilities include programme management and development, support to local partners and staff management.
Person specifications
The Monitoring & Rights Manager should hold a Master's Degree in law, anthropology, or international development, with 3 to 5 years of project management experience in charity or international development. Fluency in English and French is required, with a strong grasp of forest governance and human rights issues, particularly in West and Central Africa.
Essential skills include leadership, strategic thinking, negotiation, and financial management, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Personal attributes include a commitment to defending human rights, cultural sensitivity, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Willingness to travel up to 16 weeks per year, including to remote areas, is necessary.
