New Horizon Youth Centre has been commissioned by the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as part of an Alliance with Safer London, St Giles Trust and the Anna Freud Centre to deliver on their Children and Young People’s Violence and Exploitation and Reduction support service. The commission will run from June 2024 for three years. As part of this, an additional service will be set up within the NHYC Youth Justice team specifically to deliver on the Alliance contract. This will include a team of Housing Caseworkers who will carry out assessments and advocacy work with young people under 25 who are fleeing violence and exploitation, in order to move them on successfully into both emergency and long-term housing options. You should be passionate about working with this client group, able to manage a fast-moving caseload, and committed to working collaboratively with a team across multiple services.

Last year we saw a 133% growth in the numbers of young people facing homelessness coming through our doors. Now, nearly half of them are - or recently have been - sleeping rough and with the numbers of young rough sleepers in the capital growing at an alarming rate, New Horizon Youth Centre has had to take decisive action to unlock support and housing for this group. The Head of Services - Rough Sleeping is a brand-new role for the organisation and will lead on developing a new internal strategy for young people facing rough sleeping, as well as holding operational oversight of our established youth-specific street outreach function and emergency accommodation hub, both of which are unique in London. You will need to be strategic in approach and an excellent relationship builder. You will act as our lead colleague on relationships with the Greater London Authority and London Councils’ rough sleeping teams, working with them to ensure our learning and insights inform policy and ultimately open up access to emergency support for those under 25. Alongside this you will need a keen eye for operational detail, have experience of delivering homelessness services, and be passionate about piloting new solutions to prevent homelessness among young people. The team works pan London to deliver a unique, youth-specific outreach service to young people currently or at risk of rough sleeping. In the last year we have implemented a new CRM platform based on Salesforce and Azure platforms while continuing to adapt to modern ways of working post pandemic that have changed how our physical locations are best utilised.
As Senior Network Engineer, you'll play a key role in maintaining and supporting our current physical network hardware and solutions while we look to adopt a cloud first approach moving away from our current dependency on physical locations and legacy services.
You'll work closely with the wider technology team on the development of our office infrastructure as we look to expand our current use of Meraki solutions to support us in providing office services to several charity partners alongside Save the Children UK.
Reporting to the Infrastructure Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring our office and server platforms network connectivity to ensure availability, uptime, and responsive systems for the organisation using tools such as WhatsUpGold and Meraki portals and Azure monitor
- Maintaining our server platforms network connectivity, whether on premises, in private cloud or public cloud
- Maintaining and developing our physical office locations connectivity for end users and tenants alongside our Facilities team
- Working with our partners to maintain our WAN and cloud connectivity
- Helping implement solutions that are secure and follow Zero trust principles
- Maintaining current technologies such as Fortigate firewalls
- Implementing new technologies such as Zscaler and Azure Firewall

About you

- Significant experience in a hands-on role delivering enterprise class networking – switching, routing and Wifi

Hackney CVS is the leading force in City & Hackney’s voluntary and community sector, committed to supporting groups to meet the needs of the local community, especially those most in need. Through our City & Hackney Neighbourhoods Programme, we're pioneering a place-based approach to integrated health and care across eight Neighbourhood Forums. Our mission is to empower residents and the Voluntary and Community Sector (VCS) to lead the change towards improved health outcomes and reduced inequalities.
The Role
As a Neighbourhood Facilitator, you will be seconded into Hackney CVS and:
- Lead two of the eight established Neighbourhood Forums, driving community engagement and cross-organisational collaboration to identify local issues and co-produce solutions.
- Work closely with resident groups, service providers, and the Neighbourhood Leadership Group, ensuring that community insights and VCS expertise shape local services and pathways.
- Organise engaging community forum meetings, conduct outreach, and foster strategic connections to enable positive system change.
- Serve as a bridge between residents, VCS organisations, and health and care partners, creating opportunities for co-creation and influencing system changes to address health inequalities.

Who You Are
- A self-starter with excellent organisational and communication skills, passionate about community well-being.
- Experienced in health/well-being, outreach activities, and facilitating group discussions, preferably within the City & Hackney area.
- Knowledgeable about the VCS/not-for-profit sector and the public sector landscape, especially in health and social care.
- Skilled in partnership building, project management, and problem-solving, with a creative approach to identifying solutions.

JOB SUMMARY:
To assist the Finance team with the day-to-day financial activities of International Medical Corps UK in ensuring appropriate finance management, accounting, control and reporting. The UK finance team, work in close collaboration with the finance team of our affiliate International Medical Corps based in LA and Split.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Appropriate and timely processing of accounts payable function;
• Responding to payment requests using BACS and international transfers as appropriate
• Timely disbursement of staff expenses;
• Set-up payments in the bank account in relation to UK suppliers and employees;
• Prepare vouchers for Foreign exchange transfers;
• Tracing foreign exchange settlements and flag outstanding settlements;
• Ensure uploading documents on Onbase Scanning and filing of bank statements, bank reconciliation, monthly folders for transactions during the month, third party documents and correspondence.
• Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Typically, Bachelor's Degree in finance, Accounting Accounting. Equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
- Working towards a recognized accountancy qualification
- AAT qualified, ACCA, CIMA entry level;
- Proficient in using data analysis tools in excel for reports etc.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Package;
- Prior experience of using ERM or accounting packages;
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, and formulate messages in an engaging way.
- The ability to effectively analyse complex problems and suggest solution that would have positive impact on International Medical Corps needs
- Proficiency in English
- Additional language skills a plus

You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with local residents, volunteers and other stakeholders. You will have experience of community work and a track record of achieving positive outcomes at a neighbourhood level.
You should be comfortable in taking the lead, with an open and supportive style that encourages community participation and volunteering.
You will have a desire to get things done and a passion for people.
