Summary of the role:
The Director of Income Generation & Marketing will lead the design and delivery of an ambitious, innovative, and sustainable income generation and marketing strategy. This role is responsible for significantly growing Muslim Aid’s financial resources, enhancing its brand presence in the UK and internationally, and expanding its footprint in new and emerging economic markets, ensuring all activity is firmly aligned to Muslim Aid’s mission and values.
The Director will drive high impact fundraising initiatives across multiple channels, working closely with Country Directors, global teams, and other SLT colleagues to unlock new funding opportunities, diversity income streams and maximise donor engagement. They will cultivate strategic partnerships with corporate, institutional, and philanthropic stakeholders, while ensuring the highest standards of compliance, governance, and ethical fundraising practice.

About the Role:

Main purpose of post
This is a senior role within the Fundraising team, responsible for driving forward
Weston Park Cancer Charity’s income generation strategy across key fundraising
channels, particularly within community fundraising, donor development, and
community partnerships. Working with the Head of Fundraising and community
fundraising team, you will lead the design and delivery of an ambitious and
creative community fundraising programme.
You will be responsible for managing a small, dedicated team of three, ensuring
high performance, innovation, and supporter-focused approaches that help us
grow our impact across the region.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on delivery, ensuring that we
meet community income generation plans to achieve and exceed annual targets
currently c. £800k per annum.
Key Responsibilities
Fundraising:
Lead and deliver an ambitious and creative community fundraising
programme, identifying new opportunities to engage individuals, groups,
schools, faith groups, sports clubs, volunteer fundraisers, and community
organisations.
Maintain, develop and deliver a calendar of high-impact community
campaigns such as Time for Tea, that inspire participation, raise awareness of
the charity’s work, and generate sustainable income.
Use insights and audience data to create tailored supporter journeys that
build long-term relationships, encourage repeat fundraising, and deepen
engagement.
Harness audience data and insight to expand our fundraising reach,
increasing income in underserved areas of the region.
Represent the charity at community events, delivering public talks,
stewarding key supporters, and raising awareness of WPCC’s work across
our region.
Oversee the delivery of income and engagement targets, measuring impact,
evaluating outcomes, and embedding continuous improvement across all
community fundraising activity
Monitoring & Reporting
Manage community fundraising income and expenditure budgets, ensuring
strong ROI and cost-effectiveness.
Produce regular reports for senior leadership on performance, trends, and
forecasts.

APAP provides direct, face to face support for people in housing crisis. We are the only service of our kind in the local area, offering immediate respite and casework support for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
APAP day centre service is currently open three days per-week offering respite, food and somewhere safe to be for anyone facing street homelessness. It provides advocacy and casework services to those who are vulnerably housed or homeless, supporting them to address their individual crisis and the underlying causes. We also provide a small year round night shelter provision.
The Community Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships within the local community to support APAP’s fundraising efforts, including schools, local businesses, faith and community groups. A key feature of this role will be developing increased year-round community engagement and fundraising, leading into the planning and delivery of at least one annual fundraising campaign. - Strategic Implementation & Fundraising
- Implementation of a strategic plan to significantly increase major donor income, with a target of 17.5% of overall revenue within 3 years.

· Experience of delivering services in the housing and homelessness sector
· Strong knowledge of the legal and statutory framework for housing, benefits, employment. Ideally, knowledge of local services and support agencies.
· A passion for seeing people thrive and lives transformed – practically, emotionally and spiritually

· Strong understanding and application of safeguarding, data protection and health and safety policy.
· Experience in service design, service improvement and project management

By 1997, Off The Fence became a registered charity, allowing us to expand and tackle poverty in a deeper way, through compassion, excellence, unity, integrity, and a Christ-like approach to supporting the most vulnerable.
Poverty is complex—it’s not just about finances, but about housing, mental health, education, and belonging. To address these needs, Off The Fence now provides three core programmes, each offering a different form of practical and emotional support.

The Antifreeze Programme exists to break the cycle of social and spiritual poverty amidst homelessness, providing tangible steps towards a permanent home and long-term stability. Since 1998, Antifreeze has been a safe and warm space for members, offering faith-based, practical support services that restore dignity and hope.
At our Day Centre, we provide hygiene facilities (showers & laundry), medical drop-ins, and essential survival provisions to meet immediate needs. Through 1-to-1 sessions, we support members with housing applications, benefits, and financial stability, while goal-based workshops equip them with skills to attain permanent homes and ethical employment. Our discipleship sessions encourage an advanced understanding of the Christian faith, offering fellowship and spiritual growth. To address digital poverty, we offer computer access for job searches and reconnecting with loved ones.
Beyond practical support, Antifreeze fosters healthy community relationships, improves mental health awareness, and helps members move toward ethical employment, reduced reliance on substances, and a forever home.

Working at Off the Fence
We are a small but highly dedicated team, passionate about seeing transformation across Brighton and Hove. Off the Fence employees are entitled to:
- 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays, with extra days added for long service
- Up to 5 days of mission leave (pro rata)
- 7% employer pension contributions
