As Technical Accountant your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Leading the development and implementation of D365 F&O, ensuring it meets the reporting needs of our unique structure - a Trade Union, Charity, and Trading Subsidiaries organisation.
• Configuring the system to accommodate our partial exemption VAT rules and support international transactions.
• Working collaboratively with the project team, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and external implementers to ensure a robust and compliant financial system.
• Designing and testing the system's functionality for accurate reporting, encompassing Group Statutory Accounts, Quarterly VAT Returns, Trade Union Returns, and Business-as-usual (BAU) requirements.
• Guaranteeing the system's internal control framework adheres to external and internal audit standards.
• Transferring your knowledge to the BAU team for a seamless transition.

As Technical Accountant you will be/ have:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Extensive experience with technical accounting principles and a strong understanding of Group reporting standards (UK GAAP and upcoming FRS 102).
• Proven experience in implementing and configuring accounting systems (preferably D365 F&O)
• Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

You’ll have an active role providing LGBTQ+ affirmative support for LGBTQ+ children and young people. 

This is an exciting job opportunity to join a dynamic and committed team in a front-line role to support and deliver the activities and services of elop’s LGBTQ+ Children & Young People’s Service.

Your Role

Al-Khair Foundation uses Salesforce to manage relationships with our donors, supporters, and stakeholders, including recording all donations made to the organisation. Al-Khair Foundation’s Database Officer will be responsible for the monthly delivery of the income and data reconciliation processes for the Fundraising teams, which includes liaising with a wide range of external agencies and the website to successfully download and query files, update and create new supporter records on the database, process cheques and payment requests, and work closely with the Finance team to ensure all anticipated and banked income tallies correctly.

You will also work closely with colleagues in the Database team to support and maintain regular database processes, data cleansing, and other database-related functions that happen on a monthly or quarterly basis. This may include responding to and being responsible for Support Ticket queries in relation to income, data, and/or the database generally and working with external database agencies such as our web platform partners and Salesforce.

Aside from these core duties, from time to time, you may also carry out general administrative tasks on behalf of the Supporter Engagement team. This may include supporting the Supporter Care Assistant during busy periods with customer care via email and telephone and recording updates, processing invoices, and maintaining and updating team rotas and trackers.

Your Responsibilities

• Delivering the monthly data reconciliation and income reconciliation processes, which include downloading and uploading data files.
• Supporting the Fundraising teams with their monthly income recording and reconciliation.
• Liaising with external agencies and the Finance team.
• Checking for and correcting inaccuracies and updating supporter records.
• Running reports for the Fundraising and Finance teams.
• Maintaining and carrying out regular database processes, including data cleansing.

Ambitious About Autism is a national charity for autistic children and young people. We stand with autistic children and young people, champion their rights​ and create opportunities. We run specialist education services, an award-winning employment programme and children and young people are at the heart of our charity's decision-making, policy work and campaigning. 

We are looking for resilient, ambitious and passionate people to join us at our award winning Ambitious College (Seven Sisters Campus).

In this role, you will be working on a 1:1 basis with our Autistic learners. You will be helping our learners both academically in the classroom and with community-led activities, teaching them key life skills in order to transition into adult life.

Salary: £23,933 to £25,482 (based on years of experience)

Ambitious College is an independent specialist day college dedicated to supporting autistic young people aged 16–25. Our educational approach focuses on the individual at all times. We offer a highly personalised curriculum and positively support our learners to acquire new skills and take part in everyday life. We are located within two mainstream further education college campuses: the College of Haringey, Enfield, and North East London (CONEL), and West Thames College, West London. Through a range of partnerships with local businesses, community groups, and our mainstream college partners, we also offer opportunities to learn in the community. This combined approach – personalised education, positive support, and real work experience – delivers results. It allows our young people to achieve their goals, fulfil their potential, and go on to lead active lives in their community.
