About Us:
Keswick Town Council, acting as Fitz Park Trust, has recently announced plans to launch a fundraising campaign to support the creation of a brand-new, inclusive play area in Fitz Park, Keswick. The new play area will offer a modern, safe, and fun environment for children of all ages and abilities to engage in physical activity, imaginative play, and outdoor exploration.
Fitz Park is central to the town’s outdoor life, and is a one of the town’s most valued outdoor spaces, providing both locals and tourists with a beautiful area to enjoy nature, to play and take part in recreational activities.
We are looking for an exceptional individual to help us deliver the funds required to bring this project to life, seeking both public and corporate donations, applying for grants and leading on all communications regarding this project.
Role Overview:
As a Fundraiser, you will play a key role in driving the success of our fundraising efforts. You will be responsible for developing and executing fundraising campaigns, engaging with existing and potential donors, and ensuring we meet our financial targets for the duration of the contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and deliver fundraising campaigns to support key initiatives and projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with current and potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
- Research and identify new fundraising opportunities, including grant applications and corporate partnerships.
- Manage donor communication, ensuring they receive timely and impactful updates.
- Organise and attend events and activities to raise funds and increase brand awareness.
We’re looking for someone with proven experience of fundraising or a similar role, and of project management work. You will thrive on developing innovative fundraising ideas and campaigns.

The Fundraiser will be expected to ensure that funding for the role is included within the money raised.

We are looking for a Head of Fundraising to cover maternity leave, who can galvanise support for our work from funders, members, corporates and donors, help with continuing to develop a high-performing fundraising team, and support colleagues in developing fundable projects towards nature’s recovery engaging people and bringing wildlife back.
