Our teams provide positive, high quality, welfare friendly advice on dog training and behaviour during our fun, educational classes. Using only reward-based methodology, the Dog School aim is that each dog leaves the school with the ability to follow basic cues and behave well in everyday settings.

You and your team will organise and deliver a minimum of 15 training classes per week (both online and in person), ensuring the attendees get the best possible experience within the school. Leading a small team of coaches, you will have a responsibility for development of in-class training skills and behaviour knowledge, as well as undertaking all performance management activities. Acting as a Dogs Trust ambassador you will promote Dog School in the local area through networking with relevant local businesses and targeting potential local events.

With experience of delivering dog training Classes you will have excellent communication and organisational skills. Passionate about helping dog owners better understand their pets you will have a good knowledge of the scientific principles underlying the development of behaviour in dogs.

An experience of managing a small team would be an advantage. However, we are keen to hear from talented trainers who are looking to develop their management skills. We also have plenty of other development opportunities; all Dog School team members are developed towards their APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) assessment and ongoing membership is paid for. This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Service Manager to support women and children who are impacted by domestic abuse and other gender-based crimes. In this role you will provide line management and support to staff who work with and help women and their children who have experienced domestic abuse and are staying in our Lambeth refuges. Our Lambeth refuges are culturally specific services for women and children of African and Caribbean heritage. Role:                 Fundraising Database Manager

Location:            The Haberdashers' Schools, Elstree, Hertfordshire but with hybrid work

This is an exciting time for Haberdashers’ Girls’ School and Haberdashers’ Boys’ School. While they remain largely autonomous institutions with their own cultures and traditions, they are undertaking ambitious joint fundraising and alumni relations activities for the first time in their histories. This effort is led by a small but dynamic development & alumni relations team working across both schools.

Overview

The Fundraising Database Manager plays a key role within the team, with overall responsibility for the administration and oversight of the Raiser's Edge donor/alumni database, gift processing and alumni networking platforms across both schools. Responsibilities include maintaining the integrity of the data and ensuring it is up to date, optimising the database for fundraising appeals, generating reports and queries, providing professional support and training to users, processing all gifts and claiming Gift Aid. The database manager is also responsible for ensuring the department complies with all relevant data protection regulations

You are a motivated and highly organised self-starter, with a knack for methodical problem-solving, enthusiasm for the potential of data to drive effective fundraising and alumni relations, and a meticulous attention to detail. Beyond optimising and managing the database, you will also take the lead in implementing new financial and operational procedures which will make our fundraising and alumni relations work more efficient and effective, and which will be easy for less tech-minded team members to adopt and sustain.

You are comfortable extracting, interrogating and reporting on data to help inform strategy, always looking for ways to use and improve your skills and experience to make an impact. You will have a sophisticated understanding of how to export, import and (where warranted) merge multiple datasets. Finally, you never forget that behind the data are real people, and that ensuring the integrity, accuracy and protection of their data is vitally important, both for them and for the schools.

Location: Borehamwood, 15 miles northwest of central London. A flexible work schedule, including a mix of remote and on-site working, will be possible for the right candidate.

We are looking for an Portfolio Development & Innovation Manager for an inspiring social welfare charity to review and evaluate the Fundraising portfolio, drive decisions about how to best meet strategic goals and design a new Fundraising Innovation Strategy.

The Role
Lead the annual fundraising portfolio process to review and evaluate the performance of current Fundraising products.

Lead on the design and development of a new innovation strategy.

Develop new processes and a toolkit to operationalise the new strategy.

Recruit a new Portfolio Development & Innovation Officer, effectively leading, inspiring, managing and developing them within your new team.

The Candidate
Experience of assessing and reviewing a diverse product portfolio.

Experience of analysing and evaluating data, distilling complex information and articulating it in an engaging, digestible manner.

Experience of utilising supporter and donor insights to help inform decision making.

Experience of managing and reporting on significant income and expenditure budgets.

This role will suit someone who understands trust fundraising and is looking for a new challenge, taking on more responsibility including managing a small team of Trusts fundraisers.

The role will further develop and review our current trusts and foundations strategy, with a focus on growing and renewing five- and six-figure income from Trusts, Foundations and grant making bodies. This is an ideal role for an experienced and collaborative Trust fundraiser, capable of developing long-lasting relationships and build compelling cases for support that secure transformational donations for an iconic institution.
