The role
We are looking for an experienced Trusts and Foundations Manager to join our friendly Fundraising Team. About you
You will bring a strong track record of securing income from trusts, foundations or similar grant-making bodies, including five-figure grants and multi-year funding. About the role

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a full-time Casework Administrator to join the Southeast Regional Office at SSAFA, the Armed Forces charity. Our region covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Kent, Oxfordshire, Surrey and Sussex.
While much of the administrative and casework support is delivered remotely, this role will involve regular in-person visits to beneficiaries, primarily along the South Coast (with a strong focus on Hampshire). This is an essential and integral part of the role.
You will be responsible for providing specialist administrative support and undertaking casework across the Southeast region, including both virtual (telephone-based) and face-to-face engagement. You will work closely with colleagues across the Regional Office to ensure a consistent, timely and high-quality service is delivered to SSAFA beneficiaries.
To support you in this role, you will receive a comprehensive induction and training programme. You will work closely with the Regional Casework Managers and Regional Manager.

About the team
In this role you will be working closely with colleagues in the Southeast Region Office, supporting them to administer casework for SSAFA beneficiaries. The successful candidate will work as part of a larger team which includes 2 Casework Managers, a Regional Operations Manager and a team of 8 Regional Casework Co-ordinators.
About you
To carry out this role successfully you will have a track record of providing excellent customer service by telephone, e-mail and face to face. You will have used Microsoft Office 365 to a high standard. The successful candidate will have experience of using their own initiative, planning and managing their workload with minimal supervision. You should be experienced at writing descriptive reports following a recommended structure. Brief role description

As part of a small team, the Education and Skills Liaison will lead on engaging, developing and managing relationships with schools, youth and community groups, military charities, the MOD Education Team, the SCiP Alliance, Families Federations, HIVE and other key stakeholders to advocate for children and young people from Forces families.
Who we're looking for
We are looking for someone with a background in education and/or experience supporting young people to overcome challenges. You will have experience in a customer-focused environment and a track record of delivering to SLAs. You will also be a strong collaborator and team player, with demonstrable influencing skills and coaching or mentoring experience.
You will be a self-starter with confidence to use your own initiative and a passion for supporting the Armed Forces community. You will have an understanding of the challenges faced by forces families in finding appropriate and sustainable employment. In addition, you will have strong operational and administrative skills, knowledge of GDPR and experience using CRMs.
