Trainee Community Engagement Coordinator

WHERE: CB1 Estate, Cambridge 

WHEN: 22.5 hrs/week (3 days) 

CONTRACT: Fixed term, Part time 

PAY: £26,150 FTE, £15,690 pro-rata 

CLOSING DATE: 5PM, MONDAY 26 OCTOBER 2026

Are you passionate about people, community engagement and helping neighbourhoods thrive? 

Community Regen  is looking for a Trainee Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team at the heart of the CB1 Estate in Cambridge. You’ll work alongside our experienced CB1 Community Engagement Coordinator, who will support and train you. Together, you’ll help deliver activities, events and partnerships that bring residents, businesses, students and local organisations together—building your practical skills and confidence as you grow. 

This developmental role is ideal for someone looking to gain practical experience in community engagement and community development. You’ll receive structured induction and ongoing mentoring, with opportunities to take on more responsibility over time. 

Working days are usually Monday, Wednesday and Friday, with some flexibility, occasional evening/weekend work and the option of home working alongside regular time on the CB1 Estate.
