Founded in 1860, Providence Row is a specialist homelessness charity working in East London and the City, deliberately operating at the most acute end of the homelessness spectrum.

About the role
We are looking for a passionate and inspirational individual to lead our Patient Support service across Scotland & Northern Ireland. The Role
As Wellbeing Services Manager, you will provide day-to-day support to a growing team of independent, contracted counsellors. Working closely with the Wellbeing Director, you will contribute to governance, protocol development, administrative coordination, and quality assurance across the service.
This is a role for someone who combines experience in therapeutic pathways and counselling governance and processes, with the leadership skills and technological confidence needed to thrive in a fast-moving, fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
Counselling practice
Act as the primary internal escalation point for risk and safeguarding.
Triage high-risk and complex cases and refer them to the counsellor best placed to support the client.
Apply trauma-informed, gender-affirming approaches across all areas of practice.
Team support & development
Provide day-to-day management and operational oversight of the counselling team, ensuring consistent standards of service delivery across the caseload.

Qualifications & professional membership
Minimum Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (completed); higher qualifications welcomed.

Experience
Experience managing a team of counsellors, including providing internal oversight of service delivery, distinct from the formal clinical supervision counsellors hold independently as a condition of their professional registration.
Significant, demonstrable experience in transgender and gender-affirming healthcare at a senior level.
Proven ability to manage risk, safeguarding, and ethically complex presentations.
