About Us

Plunkett UK is a national charity supporting people in rural areas to set up and run successful community-owned businesses. These businesses, from shops and pubs to woodlands and farms, provide vital services, create local jobs, strengthen rural economies and bring people together. We've championed community ownership for over 100 years because it delivers thriving, inclusive and resilient places.

About the Role

Plunkett UK is looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to help grow our corporate partnerships programme and generate income that supports resilient, thriving and inclusive rural communities across the UK.

Working closely with and reporting to the Corporate Partnerships Lead, you'll support the development of corporate partnerships, sponsorships and business relationships, helping to identify new opportunities, develop proposals and manage partner relationships. You'll help maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and ensure partners receive excellent support throughout their relationship with Plunkett.

This role is ideal for someone with experience or a strong interest in partnerships, fundraising, account management, sales or business development. You'll be organised, proactive and confident building relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

The successful candidate should have the following experience:

  • Some experience of, or demonstrable interest in, corporate partnerships, business development, account management, sales, sponsorship or fundraising.
  • Strong research and organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy pipeline and keep information accurate and up to date.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft clear, professional materials for corporate audiences.
  • A proactive, can-do approach, comfortable taking initiative while knowing when to seek guidance from the Partnerships Lead.
  • Good relationship-building skills and the confidence to represent Plunkett professionally with external contacts.
  • The ability to juggle multiple priorities and work to deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • A collaborative approach and enthusiasm for working across teams, particularly with Communications and Marketing.
  • Commitment to Plunkett’s charitable purpose and values, and enthusiasm for supporting rural community businesses.

Join Plunkett UK and help develop partnerships that strengthen community-owned businesses and create lasting impact in rural communities.

We are committed to Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and our approach goes beyond ‘protected characteristics’ to thinking more broadly about inclusion. Every individual will think and feel differently and we believe that these differences should be embraced, and individual needs taken into account. Additionally, the makeup of the rural communities we work with leads to their own particular diversity and exclusion challenges and opportunities compared to urban areas. Our commitment to EDI, both internally and externally, has been tailored to Plunkett and the communities we serve.

No agencies please.
