About the Role

This is an exciting time to join us as we develop and invest to do more for people affected by lymphoma and to amplify the patient voice to decision makers. We are now looking for someone to support our Public and Patient Affairs Advisor in this growing area of work for the Charity. This is the perfect role for someone who has:

This is a new and key post to support this work which has grown over the last few years as we have inputted into more projects and had more external requests for patient support. The postholder will help us reach our policy goals to improve early diagnosis, access to treatment and care, patient involvement, and long term quality of life for people affected by lymphoma.

Additional information:

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility of office-based and home working. Proximity to Aylesbury is essential, as the postholder will be required to attend the office a minimum of once a week and more frequently during the induction period, as needed for meetings or to meet the needs of the role.

We are looking for a Housing Mobile Night Worker to provide flexible assistance across our high‑support, medium‑support, and transitional housing services. In this role, you will help ensure our properties remain safe, secure and welcoming throughout the night.

Our services provide 24‑hour supported housing for young people aged 16–25, offering high‑level, medium‑level and transitional housing options. We take a trauma‑informed and psychologically informed approach, supporting residents to build essential life skills, identify personal goals, and work towards their aspirations, enabling them to move on to fully independent living.

What you will be doing

In this mobile role, you will travel between supported housing sites across Crawley and Horsham throughout the night, ensuring each service remains safe, secure and welcoming. You will carry out routine checks of unstaffed properties—including communal areas, gardens and external spaces—to ensure they are quiet, well‑maintained and compliant with health and safety standards.

You will provide responsive assistance to residents who may need help, and act quickly when concerns arise. You will respond to calls from the on‑call manager and attend sites where an incident, accident or potential risk has been reported, completing thorough checks and taking appropriate action.

When required, you will work alongside the on‑site Night Workers at Crawley Foyer and Horsham Y Centre, helping to maintain a safe and secure environment. This will include monitoring CCTV, completing building checks and keeping accurate records of night‑time activity. You will also take a proactive approach to preventing anti‑social behaviour, work closely with support staff, and carry out one‑to‑one interventions with young people who may be experiencing a mental health crisis or require medical assistance.

This role involves lone working, so you will need to be confident in decision‑making and in following procedures. However, before joining the rota, you will have the opportunity to get to know the team and services, take part in a full induction, complete the required training, and undertake shadow shifts to ensure you feel confident, supported, and well prepared.

You'll be happy using tools for social listening, interacting with our audiences and building our reach. You'll be familiar with key metrics for social engagement and will be reporting back to colleagues and other stakeholders - and using this data to constantly improve our communications.

You'll be skilled in writing longer form content for our members' magazine, Caring, proof reading articles, posting content on our websites, creating graphics and making sure our content is engaging, audience focused and dynamic. Oh, and you probably know your way around an emoji set and are not scared of a well timed pun. About the Role

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide high quality support to older people who have been subjected to domestic violence and abuse. You will deliver and provide support in five key areas to support victims to:

• Feel safer
• Feel informed about their rights and the criminal justice system
• Feel listened to and heard
• Be able to implement healthy coping mechanisms
• Be connected with services who are available to help them

Key Responsibilities:

• provide appropriate non-therapeutic support to older people who have been subjected to domestic abuse via their preferred contact method
• carry out out needs and risk assessments to develop tailored individual safety and support plans to address the specific needs of the victim
• use a bespoke case management system to maintain accurate and confidential record keeping and contribute to the collection of outcomes
• liaise with the police, social services, CPS, and other agencies on the client's behalf, with the client's consent maintaining confidentiality
• provide information to victims to enable them to make informed choices about their future options. Ensuring that the voices, needs, rights and legal entitlements of older people are heard and understood by all individuals and organisations.

About You:

Ideally, you will hold an approved and accredited OPVA qualification (or you must be willing to work towards one)

You will need:

• A strong understanding of domestic abuse and violence and the impact this has specifically on older people.
• Experience of working with older people including completing risk assessments and safety planning
• Experience of managing a caseload and keeping clear case management records.
• Experience of adapting communication styles to be able to effectively communicate with older people
• An understanding of trauma informed practice and how to implement this within your work

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.

This role is currently a full-time role, focusing on supporting parishes with digital giving, helping with technical issues as well as encouraging best fundraising practice. The Role

The Diocese of Guildford is seeking a gifted and collaborative Training Lead to coordinate and ensure delivery of high‑quality training for clergy, licensed lay ministers and parish leadership teams across the diocese.

As the Training Lead, you will be a key member of the St Martha’s College (SMC) team. St Martha’s College is at the heart of ministerial formation within the diocese, bringing together a growing range of training pathways including Foundations in Ministry, Occasional Courses, IME2, CMD, Clergy Wellbeing, and leadership development. This role plays a vital part in ensuring these programmes are coordinated, accessible and effective.

 

The Role

Some of the Key Responsibilities include:

• Overseeing the planning and delivery of high‑quality training for clergy and lay ministers across the diocese.
• Shape and maintain the diocesan One Training Plan, working closely with Mission Team colleagues and external providers.
• Respond to training needs emerging from the Parish Needs Process and Ministerial Development Reviews.
• Support CMD (Continuing Ministerial Development) by helping allocate training allowances and coordinating diocesan training events, including Bishop’s Study Days and conferences.
• Lead the development of St Martha’s new online learning portal and line‑manage the E‑Learning Coordinator.
• Build and maintain a network of external resources and providers to help direct individuals to appropriate training.
• Manage communications with parishes, clergy and chaplaincies to ensure training opportunities are clearly and effectively promoted.
