About the role

We’re looking for a proactive and creative Communications Co-ordinator to support the delivery of our global communications and member engagement activities.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll help deliver digital content, manage social media channels, support campaigns such as World Obesity Day, and ensure our members receive high-quality, engaging communications.

You’ll be part of a small, collaborative team working at the heart of global health advocacy.

Key responsibilities

Communications & Digital Content

• Schedule and publish content across social media platforms
• Monitor channels, respond to enquiries, and track engagement trends
• Create and upload website content, including news and events
• Draft and design email campaigns and newsletters
• Source and develop content with members, experts and lived experience voices

Design & Content Production

• Support creation of visual content (graphics, templates, simple video edits)
• Prepare marketing materials for campaigns and events

Membership & Team Support

• Help manage shared inbox and respond to enquiries
• Maintain organised content and communications systems
• Support member communications and engagement activities
• Assist with CRM systems (Salesforce/Pardot) and contact lists
• Contribute to key campaigns, including World Obesity Day

About you

The Training & Volunteer Coordinator manages the administrative functions of volunteer recruitment, retention, and training, ensuring volunteers have a positive experience. 

Key duties involve leading recruitment (including publicity, processing applications, interviews, and IT onboarding) and maintaining accurate volunteer records for regular reporting to the Training & Development Manager and Senior Management Team. The role also assists the Training & Development Manager in monitoring the training and progression of all staffand volunteers via their learning and development plans.

Job Summary 

The post holder provides support to the Head of Chancery, ensuring the delivery of high-quality ceremonial events that reflects the values, traditions and customs of the Order of St John. The role contributes and support the charity’s strategy as an enabling function in line with our ‘Thriving People’ aim, through the delivery of events which celebrate our people and their achievements and help to foster a sense of belonging. 

This role supports the planning, management and delivery of a range of events from our annual St John’s Day celebrations, Investitures, other services held in the Priory Church and our involvement in national ceremonial occasions (such as Remembrance).

This role demands a strong attention to detail, ability to manage and prioritise complex workloads and excellent communication skills. You will have experience in event planning and delivery, preferably with a background in managing ceremonial events, and a proven ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.   

About You

You will be educated to Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (Grade C) including Maths & English, you will have experience of planning and delivering highly complicated ceremonial events, experience of planning and delivering highly complicated ceremonial events in the context of an Order of Chivalry and excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to influence effectively at all levels.

This position includes two office-based days per week. There may be times when flexibility is needed, including occasional weekend work, to support our events programme.

 About the Role

• Working closely with the Head of Chancery and key stakeholders to plan, manage and deliver a range of ceremonial and formal events.
• To support the Head of Chancery by undertaking detailed planning, preparation and delivery of the Priory’s major ceremonial occasions and other occasions (such as memorial services) as necessary. This will include diligent preparation of event plans and order of service, management of invitation lists and attendance, liaison with venues and external partners, budget management and delivering briefings.
• To support the St John International Office, the dependent Commanderies and the other UK Priories with the planning and delivery of their ceremonial occasions as required.

International Digital Marketing Coordinator (French Speaking)

Position Objective

To support digital campaigning and email marketing across PETA international entities, with a particular focus on PETA France. This role is ideal for a fluent French speaker with hands-on digital marketing experience and a strong interest in animal liberation campaigns.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Support PETA France email marketing for the programmes team, including translating, building, adapting, and scheduling campaigns
• Update web content across PETA France, PETA Australia, and PETA Netherlands to ensure accuracy, consistency, and best practice
• Support web content projects that span PETA France, PETA UK, PETA Australia, and PETA Netherlands, working collaboratively to ensure consistency and localisation
• Adapt blog content from PETA UK and PETA US for publication on PETA France platforms
• Upload, edit, and maintain content using WordPress or similar CMS tools
• Coordinate translations and localisation of videos and digital assets for French, UK, Australian, and Dutch audiences

This role will play a key part in shaping and sharing our voice through articles, press releases, media engagement, and the management of our two publications.

Key Responsibilities

Writing & Editorial

·Researching, writing, and editing articles, features, and news stories for internal and external publications.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

Tuesdays are our anchor days where every staff member is expected to be at the office. The 90 days includes anchor Tuesdays. In addition, Thursday is a core working day where part time staff are expected to work, either at home or from the office as needed.

We are looking for a Community Projects Coordinator (Community Research Initiative) to coordinate and support the further development of our diverse programme of extra-curricular student activity including our Research Volunteering and Pro Bono Research programmes.

We recognise the value of social media in communicating with all our audiences; whether unpaid carers or their friends and families, employers, politicians, service providers, supporters and all those people who may become a carer for a partner, family member, friend or neighbour and will need information, support, and to know that there are people working to make their lives better.

This role works with colleagues across the organisation - but also in partnership with external organisations and agencies, with targets set for engagement (and other indicators of the success of our campaigns). We're working on multiple campaigns simultaneously; whether that's Carers Week, campaigns to influence changes to the law to better support carers, encouraging unpaid carers to join us as members, updating on activities in the devolved nations or getting people to fundraise for Carers UK. And we use a mix of owned, earned and paid communications to drive engagement in a challenging and crowded environment in order to get our messages to cut through. It's a busy, but varied role, in a supportive and collaborative team.

About you

Working within the communications and marketing team, you'll be confident in managing our social media accounts (we have many), ensuring we're using platforms to get our messages out to both wide and targeted audiences with engaging and timely content.

You'll be happy using tools for social listening, interacting with our audiences and building our reach. You'll be familiar with key metrics for social engagement and will be reporting back to colleagues and other stakeholders - and using this data to constantly improve our communications.

You'll be skilled in writing longer form content for our members' magazine, Caring, proof reading articles, posting content on our websites, creating graphics and making sure our content is engaging, audience focused and dynamic. Oh, and you probably know your way around an emoji set and are not scared of a well timed pun. We're a small but effective communications team and pride ourselves on getting stuck in and supporting each other when we need to deliver big on fast moving projects, so you'll need be able to juggle lots of demands while recognising the importance of always hitting deadlines.

Support Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following stroke. We are looking for an innovative, passionate and professional individual with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills to join the Stroke Recovery Service based in East Berkshire.

Position: S11360 Stroke Support Coordinator

Location: Homebased, Reading and Wokingham. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week

Salary: Circa £19,400 per annum - FTE circa £28,340.58 per annum (inner London weighting £3,950 per annum/pro rata or outer London weighting £2,457 per annum/pro rata may be applied in accordance to where you live)

Contract: Permanent. Services are contracted and there is currently funding for this contract until March 2031.

The Role

The service aims to identify and address the needs of stroke survivors and carers across the stroke pathway, by providing a range of innovative support solutions, supporting them to meet their desired outcomes. A key part of the role will be to support service users and the delivery of the service.

Reporting to the Stroke Service Delivery Coach, the Stroke Support Coordinator will:

• Support new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
• Provide personalised information, advice and support.
• Support clients to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes
• Be accountable for volunteers, so experience of recruiting, training and managing volunteers would be an advantage.
• You will have excellent IT skills and demonstrate a flexible approach to your role.

About You

The post holder will have experience/background in:

• A caring profession ideally with experience of supporting people with disabilities.
• Setting up and running virtual groups.

This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings.  Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role

The use of a car with business use cover and the ability to drive is essential to be able to fulfil the requirements of the role.

Reporting to the Schools Service Manager, the Schools Coordinator role will mainly be responsible for delivering the Schools Service and local offer to primary and secondary school settings. This includes (not an exhaustive list): 

• Being the single point of contact for primary and secondary schools within the designated local educational authority areas, including non-mainstream settings; 

• Working to set targets, KPIs and reach plans as agreed by your line manager; 

• Responsibility for booking a minimum number of schools to deliver our Speak out. Stay safe programme; 

• Overseeing the booking and delivery of NSPCC volunteer led workshops (to 6-7- and 9–11-year-olds); 

• Actively engaging with and approaching secondary schools with our new Talk Relationships service and wider offer; 

• Leading, supervising and supporting a team of high calibre schools service volunteers; 

• Carrying out quality assurance visits through direct observations of volunteer deliveries, giving constructive feedback; 

• Ensuring training and sign off plans are in place for new volunteers, which may include some co-delivery with a Schools Coordinator in schools for some areas; 

• Providing effective individual and group volunteer supervisions; 

• Planning and implementing volunteer recruitment/attraction strategies; 

• Building and maintaining internal and external relationships, attending events or actively stewarding our offer with stakeholders; 

• Following NSPCC Schools Service safeguarding procedures to the required standards;
