Job Title: Refuge Worker

Location: This is an onsite role, located within the London Borough of Hounslow, there may be a requirement to occasionally work in the London Borough of Hillingdon.
Salary: £29,701.36 per annum, Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement
Contract type: Full Time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 hours per week 

This is an opportunity to join Refuge as a Refuge Worker to provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children living in our refuges.

The post holder will provide high quality practical and emotional support to survivors of domestic violence and their children living in our refuges. This includes safety planning and enabling women to access housing, welfare, benefits, and legal advice. A key requirement is to provide personal welfare support and to ensure that women are provided with a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment in accordance with Refuge’s philosophical principles.

THINK is expanding our Data function and looking for find a Data Consultant who can help achieve that growth.

THINK Data is the specialist data function of THINK, working exclusively in the charity and not-for-profit sector. We combine deep sector knowledge with hands-on technical expertise across three core areas: data health, analytics and insight, and CRM system challenges. 

Led by the Director of THINK Data, the team covers key elements of data strategy with charity clients to help them get more from their data and make better decisions. Discovering the challenges around the infrastructure of systems, processes and insight capability charities need to make data work harder for their mission. The Director leads on new business generation, team development, innovation in data products and thought leadership across the sector. Part of that innovation is exploring the best ways to use AI in how we work and how we advise clients, taking a considered and human approach. 

The Data Consultant role centres on data discovery and consultancy - working with charity clients to understand their data challenges and shape practical roadmaps for change. Alongside this you will contribute to client delivery, own key internal systems, and help develop new products and services.

We are looking for a driven, ambitious individual with a background in charity fundraising and experience in data analysis and management, who is ready to take a step up into consultancy. The role offers a clear path to develop from Data Consultant to Senior Data Consultant, with the potential over time to progress towards Data Director. JOB PURPOSE

To coordinate Dudley Lodge's impact reporting, fundraising support and business development activities across the organisation.

The postholder will support income generation by identifying funding opportunities, maintaining funding pipelines, coordinating fundraising activity, supporting funding applications and helping Dudley Lodge evidence and communicate the impact of its work to commissioners, funders, donors and stakeholders.

Working closely with the Head of Support Services, Head of Operations and Service Leads, the postholder will collect, collate and report impact and outcomes information, support fundraising and business development activities and contribute to the organisation's sustainability and growth.

Impact Reporting and Communications

• Coordinate systems for collecting, recording and reporting impact, outcomes and stakeholder feedback data across Dudley Lodge services.
• Work with Heads of Service and Service Leads to gather feedback, case studies, testimonials and other evidence of service delivery, outcomes and organisational impact.
• Coordinate feedback collection from service users, parents, family members, professionals, commissioners and stakeholders.
• Produce impact summaries, dashboards and data reports for internal and external audiences.
• Coordinate the development of Dudley Lodge's assessment and Support Services' annual impact reports.
• Support the development of systems to collect and report information relating to longer-term outcomes for families.
• Ensure impact information is accurate, accessible and available to support reporting, funding applications and service development activities.
• Support the preparation of commissioner updates, funder reports, stakeholder briefings and annual impact publications.
• Gather, collate and present information, data, case studies and outcomes to support organisational reporting and stakeholder communications.
• Prepare draft reports, updates and communications for review by Heads of Service and Service Leads.
• Coordinate the production and distribution of approved reports, updates and communications.
• Support the dissemination of impact reports, funding updates and organisational achievements.
• Maintain records of stakeholder communications, reporting requirements and submission deadlines.

Fundraising and Income Generation

• Support the organisation to achieve fundraising and income generation targets.
• Research and monitor trusts, foundations, corporate, statutory and tender opportunities, maintaining accurate records of prospective funders, deadlines and reporting requirements.
• Maintain an up-to-date funding pipeline and funding calendar.
• Gather and coordinate evidence, data and supporting information required for grant applications, tenders, expressions of interest and funding reports.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of funding applications and tender responses.
• Coordinate fundraising appeals and donor engagement activities.
• Draft and distribute appeal letters, donor updates and stewardship communications.
• Support funder reporting and grant monitoring requirements.
• Monitor emerging funding opportunities and sector developments and share opportunities with relevant managers.

Systems and Administration

• Maintain accurate fundraising, impact and stakeholder engagement records.
• Support the development and maintenance of databases and reporting systems.
• Coordinate surveys, consultations and feedback exercises.
• Produce regular reports to support management, governance and business development activities.
• Ensure information is recorded, stored and managed in accordance with GDPR and organisational policies.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes and efficiency across impact data collection and reporting, fundraising and stakeholder reporting activities.
• Undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade and purpose of the role, as reasonably required by the Line Manager or to meet the needs of the organisation.

Special Conditions:

All staff are expected to work in a flexible way to cope with the needs, demands and requirements of the Centres. This may mean attending or working from either centres, Coventry, Birmingham.

Corporate Partnerships Manager, Primary Science Teaching Trust

Key info:

• Salary £40,000 - £50,000 p/a (35 hours a week)
• Home based, The role will require regular travel to PSTT’s premises in Bristol (at least 1 day per month)

Role 

PSTT’s long term vision is: Excellent primary school teaching in every primary school in the UK.

The goal of PSTT is to make science more accessible and attractive to children of primary school age throughout the UK. Research has shown that children’s interest in science is shaped before they leave primary school. That makes it vital for them to have a positive experience of science from their early years onwards.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for developing and implementing plans to maximise income from corporate partners and trusts and foundations There is huge scope to develop both income streams at PSTT as this is a newly created position with the responsibility for growing and further developing these income streams. 

This is an exciting role for a candidate who wants to grow and shape the income stream, and demonstrate their personal impact on generating income, and providing partners with an incredible supporter experience. There will be an element of change as the organisation embeds an internal culture that effectively supports fundraising. 

This specialist manager role would suit someone who is already operating at a senior fundraiser or manager level, or someone who can demonstrate experience of developing a corporate and/or trusts & foundations pipeline, creating operational plans and delivering income. PSTT is an organisation with big ambitions so a background that includes working within a smaller charity would be helpful for the candidate to have but isn't essential.
