About the role
As a SHPS Housing Coach you will be working with individuals to prevent or relieve homelessness by sourcing affordable, suitable and sustainable private rented sector accommodation. You will also help individuals to address any other support needs they may have which are a barrier to achieving their goals and ending their homelessness by linking them with relevant agencies. This role requires skilled delivery of a range of interventions and a passion for working with those who face multiple disadvantages in society. We welcome candidates who can bring enthusiasm to learn, transferrable skills and/or have housing experience.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have transferrable skills and/or housing experience and can demonstrate skills and values in the following areas:
- Supporting people to prevent and relieve homelessness (through assessments, housing people, negotiating with landlords, advice and support to sustain tenancies)
- Demonstrating a pro-active and solution-focused approach to supporting individuals overcome barriers they are facing around housing
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and results focused environment.
- Liaising and negotiating with a range of stakeholders effectively to achieve the best possible outcome for the people you work with (landlords, accommodation providers, local authorities, DWP, etc.).
- Actively contribute to sourcing suitable and affordable accommodation
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills to manage a client caseload and own workload.
- You are pro-active and adaptable, uphold the dignity of all individuals you work with and demonstrate a willingness to follow best practice and a clear resolve to end homelessness.

About the role
As a SHPS Refugee Housing & Integration Coach you will be joining an exciting and growing new service which supports newly recognised refugees. This innovative new approach will focus on engaging with refugees early to advise how to access housing, health, benefits or employment and help to plan and fulfil their personal goals to become fully integrated into the UK. You will be reaching out to refugees and building relationships with people who have a range of support needs to outline what services and support they can access. A main focus will be on housing individuals as quickly as possible and then working with them to sustain their accommodation outcomes and fulfil integration goals. We are looking for a Health and Wellbeing Coach to support our Social Prescribing Project. You will be passionate about supporting people with long-term conditions. We are particularly interested in a candidate with lived experience of managing, or have independently reversed, a long-term condition such as Diabetes, heart disease or chronic kidney disease. Your role will be supporting residents to increase their ability to self-manage long-term conditions and encourage them to take pro-active steps to improve the way they manage their physical and mental health, centred around what matters to them. Your average working day will involve speaking with residents and motivating them to make positive lifestyle changes to improve their health and wellbeing. You’ll share existing opportunities within the voluntary and community sector and encourage residents to access support. You’ll work closely alongside BVSC team, other voluntary sector partners and GP Practice Staff and be speaking directly to Bexley residents within community settings, such as GP surgeries, to support residents to make improvements to their health and wellbeing. You will be speaking to residents directly to find out what action they can take, with your support, to improve their long-term health and potentially improve or reverse their diagnosis. You will be working alongside GP’s, Social Prescribing and the Voluntary sector to link residents to support.
Key Duties:
- Manage a caseload of patients, working with them in a person-centred approach, encouraging commitment to life-style changes.

Work alongside Community Connect/Social Prescribing link-workers and PCNs to provide an all-encompassing approach to personalised care.

Provide one to one and group support to a variety of people with one or more long-term conditions with the aim of empowering people to manage their own health and improve health outcomes.

The Orchard Recovery Group offers Restore service users (Members) the opportunity to engage in a range of structured activities aimed at supporting them to take control of their mental health recovery, develop skills, build confidence, and connect with peers.
The Recovery Group staff team provides information, support and guidance, delivering craft and woodwork activities alongside access to one to one coaching and tailored resources on employment and training.
Job Summary
To hold responsibility for the day-to-day running of The Orchard recovery group, working alongside and leading staff and volunteers, as well as group members, to deliver a high quality and effective service that achieves positive outcomes for participants.
In close co-operation with the Recovery Service Staff Team, the post holder will lead in the planning, training and supervision of the Recovery Group and recovery activities.
As a team leader they will be expected to implement all aspects of the work of the project as agreed with the group, including on-site sales to the public of goods produced by the group. They will also participate in running open days and other fundraising and awareness events.

Job Role
The role of the Career Coach supports the delivery of the Executive Programme by providing a career consultation service to clients and by providing executive coaching to a smaller cohort of those clients. The post-holder needs to be a qualified coach, working within a recognised structure of accreditation and supervision (for example, as a current member of ICF). They must have the ability to support clients with advice and guidance on how best to secure executive roles attracting high salaries: CV writing; networking and use of social media; able to build and sustain meaningful and productive partnerships with a range of stakeholders for the benefit of the FEC’s clients. They should have a good knowledge of the current job market, opportunities in a variety of different sectors, and be able manage/advise on salary expectations, as well as offer assistance and/or coaching in interview techniques. Ideally, they will have first-hand experience of being a member of the Armed Forces community and of an executive career.
This is a part time 14 hours per week (2 days) role, expected 1 day per week, on average, working in/from Mountbarrow House (Head Office building) ; otherwise, flexibility to work from home, with occasional attendance at events.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support delivery of the Executive Programme
- Deliver effective and supportive career consultations to clients of the Executive Programme, including, but not limited to: CV writing; networking and use of social media; accessing relevant employment and development opportunities; gaining entry, and then progressing their careers, in a range of sectors.
- Provide a limited executive coaching service to a small cohort of clients over an extended period of time (up to 12 months). These clients will be those most in need of this service due to their exceptional circumstances.
- Provide clients with current, relevant, insight into the executive careers market, including salary expectations, in a range of sectors.
- Advise and/or coach clients in interview techniques.
- Embrace and fully utilise the agreed systematic approach for career consultations, thereby facilitating evaluation of the service.
- Full and effective use of CRM systems (currently Salesforce) for recording client engagements.
- Building advocacy for employment of veterans and their families, and for FEC.
Membership of Executive Services team
Striving for Executive Services to be recognised and acknowledged for providing a first-class service as part of the go-to military charity for employment.
Ensure departmental compliance with ISO 9001 (and other) frameworks within the Executive Services department.
Collaborate effectively with the wider Executive Services and FEC teams in promoting FEC and the Executive Programme.
Undertaking other tasks and assignments as may be allocated from time to time by the leadership and management of both FEC and Executive Services. Examples will include participation in the planning and delivery of a variety of FEC events and workshops.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
- Qualified (minimum Level 5; ideally Level 7 and above) and accredited (for example, a current member of ICF), executive coach.

● To actively address the barriers experienced by start-up organisations and working with existing community organisations to add value and provide the requisite business support services.
Responsibilities/ Major Duties / Key Roles and responsibilities (these may change to meet the needs of the service)
1: Engage with:
● individual clients starting with a detailed assessment/diagnostic of need, resulting in an individual action plan that will help clients to achieve their personal and business objectives whilst addressing their specific needs and barriers to start-up/self-employment/sustainability/growth.
● Provide face-to-face, virtual and practical coaching support enabling clients to implement their individual action plan, and achieve their goals and objectives.
● Support the client in the development of a robust start-up/diversification/growth business plan.
● Provide, broker and ensure access to additional interventions, throughout the coaching provision, as needed, providing access to practical support, networking and peer learning opportunities, information and signposting to other services e.g. professional services, premises, finance etc.
● Enable access to specialist support available through wider Council, WYCA provision, and their own business networks, as needed.
● Help progression through referring to other available mainstream/public-funded support, when ready and where progression routes are available (e.g. NEA for unemployed clients, Ad: Venture where clients are eligible and their aspirations have changed from lifestyle to growth).
● Support progression to employment-focused support, where a client’s ambitions change from enterprise/self-employment to employment.
2: To support a combination of pre-start-ups, new start-ups and existing businesses that have not been trading for more than 12 months.
3: to engage with, and provide one-to-one support to, the following groups:
● Unemployed people with additional support needs, preventing them from participating
successfully on the New Enterprise Allowance scheme.
● Economically inactive people, not claiming benefits.

About the role
We are looking for someone to join this team to increase our capacity to respond to new and existing members. As a Strengths and Asset Coach you will work with on average caseload of 15-20 members offering a combination of holistic housing and life skills alongside practical support to help end their homelessness for good.
We currently have a dynamic programme of learning which you will be trained to deliver on a one basis and in small groups. This will fit alongside regular 1-1 caseload meetings where you will review plans developed to address and overcome barriers to find and secure sustainable and affordable housing.
About you
As part of the Strengths and Assets team you will have existing experience and knowledge in developing focused housing goals alongside your members and create a collaborative set of action plans in order to achieve their goals.
You will also have sound knowledge of how to register with local housing providers, the welfare benefits system, debt advice services, how to set up a tenancy and where to source affordable goods to help furnish their property.
You will support members to complete our comprehensive Moving-In Checklist which would include setting up rent payments, registering with utility companies, applying for council tax support, supporting to manage change of circumstances on their UC account and registering with a GP alongside developing links with the local community and services.
You should be proficient in developing a bespoke, user-friendly budget to ensure your members understand and are able fulfil their financial commitments, with the goal of sustaining their accommodation and leaving homeless for good.
You will have a track record of working with partner agencies, developing and maintaining strong working relationships and collaborating to achieve the best outcomes for members. You will need to align with our organisational values that hold us accountable in assisting our members to improve and relieve their homelessness and demonstrate this through your work and behaviours.

Young people tell us that Progression Coaches need to genuinely care about them and their futures, go the extra mile, be reliable, friendly and able to relate to them and their problems.
Many of our young people have not had the best start in life and face significant challenges in securing a positive future - they need support to make progress and achieve their aspirations especially around employability. As a Progression Coach, you will have a case load of young people and you will play a central role in their lives, working alongside them to assess risks and needs and to develop plans which will enable them to make progress.
Using a social pedagogy approach (head, heart and hands), you will work holistically with your young people, having regular contact with them and keeping a close eye on their progress.

The Action on Disability Employment Service is setting the agenda for disability employment across London with great results. Background
Action on Disability is the supported employment service partner on a number of supported internships for young people with learning disabilities around West and South London. They are looking to recruit a number of job coaches to support interns and graduates of these programs in their jobs.
The Post
The purpose of the job is to provide coaching, support and guidance to young people with learning disabilities (17+) within their workplaces. You will support interns/graduates to become independent in their roles and provide the necessary coaching, training and encouragement to enable them to succeed. You will work closely with the employer to ensure they are supported and can confidently manage and train their intern/employee once your support has been withdrawn.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- To carry out a detailed job analysis of potential jobs / work placements
- To carry out detailed job matching of service users and jobs
- To comprehensively learn jobs across different sectors – not restricted to but potentially including – Catering, Customer Service, Administration, IT and Retail
