About the role:

People arrive at the hub straight from the streets, often after being knocked back, overlooked or stuck for a long time. This role is about what happens next. As Hub Team Manager, you’ll lead a service that doesn’t let people drift. You’ll make sure the moment someone comes through the door, things start moving.

You’ll be in the middle of it all - guiding a multidisciplinary team, linking in with outreach, pulling partners together and cutting through the noise that keeps people stuck. This isn’t about managing from a distance. About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Delivery / Programme Operations Manager who thrives on delivering efficient and pragmatic processes, procedures and systems to support the impactful delivery of our growing suite of Financial Education and Wellbeing Workshops and Programmes. You will help us get stuff done! And deliver important functions and projects yourself.

As we grow the charity, it is ever more crucial that we break down silos and duplication between our two main delivery teams (Children & Young People and Adults). You will lead on reviewing and consolidating the two processes into one for the support functions of the programme delivery teams, initially progressing priority tasks identified for 2026 as part of our recent strategy refresh, and building a pipeline of future continuous improvement projects for 2027 and beyond.

This will be a vital new role bringing order and cohesion to the vital delivery support functions. You will own and champion key programme delivery-related functions in the charity, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and are understood and used throughout the charity. Our Later Living communities provide homes and services to residents generally over 55 years of age who benefit from additional support and security.

What You’ll Do 
As a Later Living Community Manager, you will be the key point of contact for residents, providing practical assistance and managing their expectations. You will assess residents’ needs, signpost to specialist services, and identify safeguarding concerns where necessary. You will oversee tenancy sign-ups, support new residents, and maintain accurate case management records. The role involves monitoring repairs and maintenance, supervising contractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, including fire safety. You will also foster a sense of community by organising activities that promote wellbeing and engagement, while line-managing a Domestic Assistant or Premises Assistant to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Covering other communities when required and attending training will also form part of your responsibilities.

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults and knowledge of health and social care issues in a residential setting 
• Experience conducting risk assessments and managing housing-related tasks, including reporting repairs and health and safety

This assignment will focus on the end-to-end management of grants for individual applicants, with particular responsibility for peer review and assessment activity across an international scheme.

• Managing grants through the full lifecycle, from call launch to award, monitoring and close-down

The main objectives are as follows:

1. Secure new corporate partnerships raising funds to support Together for Short Lives’ direct work, and our National Fundraising Scheme (raising funds on behalf of the UK’s children’s hospices).
2. Develop and deliver a business development strategy, including  prospect research, managing  a robust pipeline of opportunities, and developing a diverse range of business development products. 
3. Manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of individual contacts and organisations, including prospective and existing supporters.

Program Manager
Prospectus is supporting an independent foundation seeking a Program Manager to support Senior Program Directors and the organisations governments partners in their efforts to deliver transformational, cross sectoral initiatives in sub-Saharan Africa.

Program Managers review and develop program-related materials that drive strategic priorities; monitor program achievement progress; manage local consultants and technical assistance providers; provide financial and workplan oversight of grants; track and document results across programs.

The foundation does not implement its own ‘projects’: they work directly with inspiring government leaders to deliver on their goals for their people, and the Program Manager will be expected to interface in a respectful, savvy, and non-prescriptive manner with government colleagues, while simultaneously providing the honest feedback of a true partner.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in managing complex and large-scale program implementation, ideally in sub-Saharan African countries.
• Good understanding of how governmental departments work, ideally with direct experience working with governments particularly in sub-Saharan Africa.
• Substantial, relevant expertise in health, nutrition, job creation, urban development or education, ideally in sub-Saharan Africa. This will include familiarity with evidence, key actors, and proven interventions in a broad range of human development areas.
• Experience in the use of program management tools such as dashboard creation, program monitoring and strategic planning.
• Demonstration of methodical program oversight and management.
• Team player with excellent people skills and with highly developed communication, presentation, negotiation and influencing skills.

Terms

• Circa £70,000
• The position is full-time. Staff members working in the London office attend the office five days a week.
