About the role

We’re looking for an experienced Digital Marketing and Content Manager to lead and evolve our digital approach at a critical time for the organisation following the launch of our new three-year strategy.

As Digital Marketing and Content Manager, you will play a critical role in amplifying our impact, turning complex research into compelling content, using digital channels to influence decisionmakers and ensuring our messaging reaches the audiences that can drive real change for older people.

At Endometriosis UK, we are passionate about driving political change for the 1 in 10 women and those assigned female at birth living with endometriosis in the UK. This role will play an instrumental role in supporting the campaigns and policy function within the wider Communications Team.

This will be a busy, varied and important role working closely with the Policy and Campaigns Manager and Head of Campaigns and Communications to provide administration and wider support for the charity’s growing policy and campaigns function. This will include contributing to the production of government consultation responses, writing letters to politicians, producing background briefings ahead of parliamentary meetings and taking responsibility for political monitoring and informing the team of any engagement opportunities. A key part of the role will also be providing administration support for the policy function of the charity and the Head of Communications and Campaigns, including administrative support for the All-Party-Parliamentary Group on Endometriosis which Endometriosis UK provides secretariat support for. The National Association of Special Schools (NASS) is the membership association for special schools in England and Wales. We bring together independent special schools, non-maintained special schools, special academies, maintained special schools and multi-academy trusts with specialist provision.

We exist to inform, support and represent our members, helping specialist schools improve outcomes for children and young people with SEND and secure the place of specialist provision within the wider education system. In February this year, the Department for Education published a major white paper on SEND reform which will require NASS to both influence national policy on behalf of our members and children and young people, as well as support them to navigate the changes. The role of the ITF Communications Team is to elevate our work on global issues and drive collective action to improve the rights of all transport workers.

The Communications Department leads strategic thinking around communications across the ITF’s industrial sections, global regions and key areas of focus, including women and young transport workers, sustainability, health and safety, the future of work and supply chain accountability. About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy & In Memory Officer to join our Fundraising team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in delivering legacy and/or in-memory campaigns and working in a fundraising environment.

The purpose of this role is to manage and grow the legacy fundraising and in-memory giving programmes. This will involve providing exceptional stewardship to supporters to build long-term engagement, managing legacy and in-memory campaigns to reach agreed objectives and building relationships with local solicitors and funeral directors alongside other stakeholders.

Working with the Public Fundraising Manager, the post holder will deliver a strategy to increase income, develop relationships and effectively deliver in-memory events and campaigns.

About you

You will need:

• Experience in delivering legacy and/or in-memory fundraising campaigns
• To be comfortable speaking to bereaved families with compassion and kindness
• Effective communication and planning skills
• Experience of managing activities to budget

St Joseph's Hospice was founded in 1905 by the Religious Sisters of Charity, and as such it has a rich, Catholic heritage which informs our work today: to support and welcome those in need, from all different cultures, religions and backgrounds.

We provide high-quality specialist palliative care for patients with cancer and other life-threatening conditions across East and North London. We have a large team of clinical staff who work across community, in-patient and out-patient services delivering individualised, responsive and holistic support to patients and their families/carers.

As our new Communications and Campaigns Officer, you’ll bring your experience in digital communications to contribute towards making Possible’s work relevant, accessible and inspiring to key audiences. You’ll take a proactive approach to increasing and diversifying our audiences and finding new ways to talk about climate change with new people. 

Working across the campaigns and communications teams, you’ll create exciting and engaging content which brings our work to life on digital platforms. You’ll have a good understanding of which platforms, tone and style are best suited to reach which audiences, and an eye for analytics, monitoring and evaluating what works, and adapting accordingly. 

You’ll provide essential, day to day administrative support to our communications and campaigns teams through information sharing, calendar management and document preparation. In our small comms team, there is a lot of crossover between roles, so you will occasionally be asked to pitch into other functions such as web and press. At different times, you’ll provide support to our varied campaigns—from aviation to community energy to traffic reduction to electrical repair—offering you the chance to engage with a lot of different people, in a range of ways.

You’ll be invited to contribute to general marketing, media, outreach, fundraising and campaign strategy. And everyone at Possible helps out in the best ways they are able, by doing things like organising digital birthday cards, taking out the bins or the virtual equivalent, so there’s that too.

We usually work 9.30am-5.30pm but staff can use flexitime to work the hours that work for them depending on the day or request different standard hours.
