This is an exciting opportunity to lead CPAG’s strategic legal work at an important time in the organisation’s fight to end child poverty. As Head of Strategic Litigation, you will oversee and carry out CPAG’s work using legal cases for positive impact, to benefit families and children in poverty. You will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of CPAG’s legal work, in addition to managing CPAG’s legal practice and playing an active role in conducting high-profile litigation on a day-to-day basis.
We are looking for someone who is strategically minded and passionate about using the law to advocate for the rights of, and directly improve the lives of, families in poverty. The ideal candidate will be a solicitor (E&W qualified) with substantial post-qualification experience. You will have experience of conducting public law litigation and legal aid (publicly funded) work. You will be able to supervise the casework of colleagues, such as CPAG’s junior or trainee solicitor(s) and welfare benefit advisers, and support the professional development and wellbeing of your team. You may have experience of working with clients in vulnerable situations or with additional needs, for example, survivors of domestic abuse, refugees, disabled people or children and young people.

The Public Engagement Network is a group of 200+ charities with reach into communities experiencing health inequalities across England. Lead the delivery of the Public Engagement Network contract from inception through to delivery, learning and evaluation, including co-ordinating an integrated management team including representatives of our two partner organisations.

Our approach to hybrid working
We recognise the importance of coming together regularly, in-person, as a team, so we can share learnings and spend social time with each other. We also recognise that people need flexibility, and that homeworking enables focused work and can fit well in people’s lives.
We ask all staff to take part in pre-arranged team meetings which take place every six weeks in our office space. We also might ask you to meet in-person with members of your team from time to time, or to be available for face-to- face meetings with clients and partners where this enhances the work.
We assume that this would usually not amount to more than one day per fortnight for people who work full time. We are happy to discuss how this sits in your life. This can be agreed by your line manager.
In addition, because this role involves engaging with and recruiting to a large network of VCSE organisations, the post holder will be required to regularly attend in-person events across England. These are likely to take place around once a month and may sometimes require overnight stays. Travel, accommodation and subsistence costs for events across England will be paid, however, travel to our London office will be at the expense of the postholder.

About the role
The Head of Public Fundraising & Engagement will lead our public fundraising portfolio. This newly created role will oversee Individual Giving and Legacies, Community Fundraising, Mass Participation and Challenge Events, and Fundraising Operations, with five direct reports.
You will be accountable for public fundraising income and performance, whilst also helping to bring together teams, systems and ways of working following the merger. You’ll sit on both the Fundraising Senior Management Team and the organisation’s Senior Management Team, contributing to organisation-wide strategy, decision-making and culture.
You will play a key role in shaping our three-year public fundraising strategy, ensuring it is ambitious, realistic and rooted in audience insight.
Whilst much of the portfolio is delivered through Senior Managers, there is particular scope and opportunity, to shape the future of Community and Mass Fundraising – where we’ve deliberately protected delivery while leaving space for the new Head to define long-term strategy, growth and resource.

The Clink Charity, founded in 2009, aims to prevent and reduce reoffending through training, rehabilitation, and support. We deliver hospitality and horticulture training behind the prison walls and in the community by creating an environment where our students are supported to gain the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to rebuild their lives.
Since that time, we have trained approximately 5,000 people in prison and delivered 2,600 City & Guilds qualifications in a variety of hospitality and food courses.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Head of Training and Impact is a vital and high-profile role within the organisation, responsible for overseeing the implementation of all training projects at The Clink Charity across our portfolio, both in prisons and out in the community, evaluating the outcomes and impact of our work for our beneficiaries.
This is a broad and varied role allowing the incumbent to work across catering, hospitality and horticulture training projects, delivering nationally accredited and high calibre City & Guilds qualifications to vulnerable learners.
Having oversight of the projects, and working closely with our team of expert project leads in our restaurant, bakery, gardens and in our youth café of South London, this role offers the opportunity to develop exceptional training programs, rigorous quality assurance processes, and reflective practice in evaluation work.
As we scale our youth projects to a second site in Guildford, this role also comes with the wonderful opportunity of mobilising a brand new project to meet the needs of a NEET community of 16–25 year olds in a café based at Guildford County Court.
The Head of Training and Skills will onboard referral partners, design the delivery program and impact framework, and work alongside a skilled support team to ensure the success of the site, with a view to opening more of these projects in 2027.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership and line management
- Work with the CEO, ELT and Board to achieve The Clink’s mission, vision and strategic objectives.
- Lead the design and implementation of a skills and training strategy which delivers the agreed vision and goals, and to communicate its effectiveness to project leads via KPIs, targets, and regular briefings.
- Lead the design and implementation of effective and robust systems and processes for the operational delivery of training programmes in achieving required delivery outputs.
- Lead on the embedding and implementation of an effective Quality Assurance programme for all project delivery across the Charity.
- Provide line management support for the programme leads in the Restaurant, Bakery, Gardens and Café, providing wider leadership to the staff team on all matters connected to delivering training and measuring the outcomes and impact of our work.
- Line manage the Data and Compliance Manager and support him with preparation of data driven insights informing strategic decisions.
- Conduct 1:1s with your direct reports, manage appraisals and oversee performance management processes.

Project delivery
- Oversee all project delivery work at The Clink Charity, ensuring consistent, quality delivery and effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting of all projects.
- Manage the recruitment, training and development of our training staff continuously reflecting on improvements to the roles that can more effectively achieve project outcomes.
- Own the design and implementation of our work based on insight and learnings, lead on reviewing existing services and assessing new services or approaches.

Qualifications, assessing and verification
- Act as the lead link to City & Guilds for the delivery of the charity’s training courses across all projects ensuring that the content of the training programmes enables learners to achieve their qualifications and meet the high standards of City & Guilds NVQs.
- Work with the project leads on preparing portfolios for hospitality, catering and horticulture projects ready for assessment and verification.
- Oversee all verification of these courses. Act as one of a team of IQA’s for The Clink Charity and facilitate the EQA (External Qualification Assessor) visits, and HMPPS/HMI inspections across all sites.
- Host standardisation meetings with colleagues to build a collaborative training culture.
- Regularly monitor qualification outcomes against targets.
Monitoring, evaluation and insight
- Work with the project team in prisons and in the community to develop measurement and evaluation processes to assess the impact and outcomes of The Clink’s training programme, inform future decisions about programme development, and enable robust reporting to stakeholders.
- Attend quarterly reporting meetings with the MoJ to share the outcomes of our projects, preparing reports for those meetings and working with colleagues at New Futures Network who monitor our work for the MoJ.
- Regularly review impact methodology and implementation to ensure The Clink’s impact is measured and demonstrated in the most effective way, showing the full impact of our programmes.
- Develop efficiencies in collecting and analysing data.
- Be impact-driven and use data and results to ensure the planning and delivery of high-quality programme to drive continuous improvement.
Safeguarding
- Champion safeguarding in all the work that you deliver in and out of prisons, ensuring processes are adhered to and a culture of safeguarding is sustained throughout the organisation.

- Approve updates to related policies and procedures annually.
- Ensure all staff working in our projects are appropriately trained in safeguarding practice at The Clink Charity.
New business, income generation and programme development
- Lead on strategic planning for delivery and programme development across all sites, seeking opportunities to grow/scale our impact by exploring new opportunities with our partners.
- Build and develop relationships with all relevant stakeholders, including MoJ and HMPPS colleagues, referral agencies for our community work, and strategic funding partners to increase our reach and deepen our impact on beneficiaries.
- Build and develop The Clink’s network of potential delivery partners including HMPPS, DWP, DfE, local authority, social care, schools, and other third sector organisations who work with us in supporting our beneficiaries.
- Provide expert content surrounding programme delivery and development for funding bids and proposals.

Finance
- With the support of the Director of Finance and Resources, prepare and oversee budgets for project delivery and track spending against forecasts ensuring good fiscal management of projects.

PERSON SPECIFICATION – DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE
- Experience of leading projects and training and developing a team made up of staff members of differing levels of seniority.
- Experience of working in: social justice, education, youth work, or criminal justice projects, or having worked in hospitality or horticulture before, or having lived experience that reflects the lives of the beneficiaries that we serve.
- Have an IQA qualification or be willing to complete the course to become accredited.

Salford CVS is recruiting a Volunteering Development Worker (Women and Girls in Football) to lead our work in increasing the participation of women and girls in off-pitch volunteering roles across grassroots football in Salford. This new role has been created in alignment with The FA’s priorities to strengthen inclusive volunteer pathways and ensure club and league environments are welcoming, supportive and accessible for female volunteers.
The main purpose of the post is to increase the number of female volunteers in off-pitch roles across grassroots football in Salford by supporting clubs, leagues, sessional football providers and community groups to create, promote and sustain inclusive volunteer opportunities. The role will coordinate learning and development for volunteers, help organisations understand their volunteer needs, and strengthen their capacity to recruit, retain and recognise women and girls in volunteering.
You will use Salford CVS’s established volunteering expertise to support England Accredited clubs, leagues and sessional football providers to attract, recruit and retain more female volunteers. This includes addressing known barriers such as lack of visible role models, sex-based discrimination, childcare demands that fall disproportionately on women, limited flexibility and traditional recruitment practices that may favour men.
Working in connection with our Volunteer Centre and wider Active Communities teams, you will join a service that already supports hundreds of organisations to develop safe and high-quality volunteering opportunities, matches hundreds of residents to roles, and delivers a wide range of volunteering training and good-practice guidance. You will also work closely with local partners, including Salford Community Leisure, GM Moving, Manchester FA and VCSE partners to ensure a coordinated and impactful approach.
The role will involve building strong relationships with clubs and leagues, engaging women and girls through targeted outreach in multiple settings (for example, community events, education environments, VCSE spaces, etc.), supporting grassroots clubs to understand their volunteer needs and barriers, and developing sustainable volunteer plans that help address these. You will deliver both FA and Salford CVS-designed training, increasing access to high-quality learning and development across the grassroots football ecosystem.

This is a managerial role that requires strong decision making and the ability to drive the department forward progressively, but still very much a position where you will be expected roll your sleeves up and take a hands-on approach to deliver first-rate talent for the organisation, and experience for our candidates. You will oversee all recruitment activity passing through the UK office, owning our ATS and line managing the Talent Acquisition Officer.
1. Talent Acquisition Strategy
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the talent acquisition strategy, with a strategic focus on digital optimisation, to ensure improving placements for both UK and overseas roles.
- Oversee and deliver all employer brand initiatives and recruitment campaigns including hiring events to drive candidate engagement and boost our employer brand.
- Build diverse candidate pools, and create initiatives to attract and retain diverse talent.
- Develop and analyse our recruitment metrics, and use your knowledge, market insights, numbers and analysis to continually refine and improve the talent acquisition process using a data-led approach.
- Offer a clear, supportive and innovative voice in interactions with international colleagues to streamline processes and ensure seamless, effective collaboration.
- Use creative and innovative approaches to continue to reach new candidate audiences in a narrow field.
- Continuously review our process to drive improvements and change, especially through the use of emergent technologies.
- Work closely with colleagues in our youth outreach programme ‘Co-Pilot’ to develop, maximise and harmonise our approach in bringing a younger demographic into our talent pools, incorporating this relationship into our strategy.
2. Transactional Recruitment Management
- Create and deliver an annual international recruitment action and promotional plan
- Work in close collaboration with our marketing team in the promotion and delivery of recruitment advertising including online/offline and social media campaigns and analysing results to inform planning and performance improvements. Ensure that the recruitment message remains central throughout our range of communications activities and that our voice is clear, compelling and interactsand synergizes seamlessly with our existing central campaign operations
- Monitoring, reviewing, and developing the recruitment pages on our website to maximize engagement
- Being responsible for the discernment and wisdom required to undertake spiritual personal and assessments, refining a clear and robust framework to ensure a fair and consistent candidate experience.
- Overseeing the development and maintenance of physical resources for overseas recruitment
- Representing MAF throughout the year at festivals and other events within the UK as a passionate and compelling advocate
- Initiating high quality recruitment events in various forums throughout the year, focusing on producing a clear ROI
- Leading in the development of the Online Recruitment Journey
- Leading in the recruitment of UK roles
- Training and supporting UK managers with hiring responsibilities in effective recruitment techniques and selection processes, ensuring that colleagues are coached and upskilled to sufficiently assist in the delivery of an efficient campaign.
- Review the workflow of the recruitment process to ensure that the workload requirement for managers supporting the process is mitigated and manageable, whilst maintaining their engagement in the process.
- Work with the UK and International HR Managers to support a seamless onboarding process for all joiners
3. Overseeing our selection processes to ensure the progression of suitably skilled applicants who meet our faith, vision, and values criteria
- Designing and implementing robust, efficient, and personable selection processes that deliver an excellent candidate experience
- Overseeing MAF UK’s assessment processes and assisting with interviews where required
- Liaising with MAF International (MAFI) to discuss candidates’ potential fit for overseas roles
- Managing our use of UK psychometric assessment
4. Envisioning and delivering new initiatives to attract and build our talent pipeline
- Overseeing and driving proactive digital acquisition using LinkedIn and other platforms
- Working with other teams to design and deliver creative, engaging, and high-quality recruitment campaigns and promotional initiatives
- Raising awareness and leveraging team support for recruitment initiatives
- Establishing, developing, and sustaining collaborative relationships with key external bodies e.g., Christian bodies within the aviation industry, armed forces, and universities
- Selecting, training, and managing a network of volunteer recruitment champions, increasing the scale of our capacity to support at events and build a greater presence in the community specifically from a recruitment perspective
- Designing and implementing approaches to encourage greater diversity with applicants
- Demonstrating a data-led approach, monitoring recruitment statistics and measures to inform decision making, identify issues and prepare management information reports.
5. Partnership
- Building strong relationships with the MAFI recruitment team and proactively sharing resources, experience, and expertise with Engagement Units
- Member of the MAFI Recruitment Steering Group
- Establishing or contributing to recruitment learning circles with other Engagement Units
- Support efforts to integrate into one global entity from a recruitment perspective
- Contribute to the launch and maintenance of the Mission Aviation Academy, to continue to enhance our employer brand around our training schemes and ensure a sustainable funding pipeline for them for the future
6. Management
- Overall management of the relationship portfolios and specific management of ‘Premium’ enquirers portfolio
- Line manage, coach, develop and champion the Talent Acquisition Officer
- Participating in MAF UK organisation development initiatives and policy review
- Managing own time effectively to maximize organisational benefit
- Lead on the overall management and administration of the Applicant Tracking System
7. Legal, finance and professional
- Maintaining a high level of legal awareness and ensuring our legal obligations are maintained throughout the recruitment process
- Preparing and managing the recruitment budget
- Modeling self-leadership through continual professional development
8. Travel
- This role will involve some travel within the United Kingdom, particularly around the events season.
Other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Director of People and Culture including covering for other members of the team as required.

- Expenditure up to agreed budget.
- Responsible for managing the Talent Acquisition Officer and conducting regular 1-1s and Personal Development Reviews according to agreed standards.

TASKS COMMON TO ALL MANAGERS:

Hosted within the Starting Point team, this role focuses on supporting individuals who are experiencing or have experienced homelessness and are ready to take steps toward a more secure and connected future.
This is a varied, hands-on, and deeply rewarding role for someone who is self-motivated, compassionate, and passionate about making real change in people’s lives.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a dynamic individual who is enthusiastic about working in the homelessness sector and committed to helping people overcome complex life challenges. You will support a group of individuals facing multiple disadvantages including homelessness, substance misuse, mental and physical health issues, trauma, and possible involvement with the criminal justice system.
You’ll work closely with the Lived Experience Team, under the guidance of the Team Leader, and offer engaging activities designed to build confidence, skills, and lasting connections.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide consistent, sustained support to help individuals engage with relevant services.
· Develop and update support plans that track progress, activities, and outcomes.
· Organise and deliver meaningful, fun, and skills-based group activities (e.g. cooking, art, music, fitness, photography).
· Signpost to external support groups and services, such as Andy’s Man Club, where appropriate.
· Foster partnerships with voluntary and statutory services to ensure cohesive support.
· Regularly identify and address barriers to progress, working collaboratively with each individual.
· Work confidently and professionally with individuals in crisis, managing risk and seeking appropriate support when needed.
· Collaborate within the Lived Experience Team to share responsibilities and support team goals.
· Build relationships with faith groups, including Doncaster Minster (if possible), to secure space or volunteers for client- focused activities.
Wider Community Impact
A key element of this role involves working alongside the faith sector to bridge the gap in understanding around homelessness, addiction, and mental health. Through these partnerships, we aim to build inclusive, compassionate spaces within Doncaster’s communities where individuals feel welcome, safe, and supported.
By creating a network of faith-based and community organisations willing to host or support activities, we will give clients more opportunities to integrate into the wider community and build a lasting sense of belonging.
About the Role & Organisation
This role is employed by Church Urban Fund (CUF) and will be managed remotely. While you will be based with the Starting Point team in Doncaster City Centre, your work will also take place in the community and, occasionally, from home. Some evening and weekend work may be required.

What You’ll Do
- Carry out key reproductive duties, including cytology, progesterone testing and supervising matings, ensuring the highest standards of welfare and outcomes.

- Maintain accurate records, analyse reproductive data and contribute to continuous improvement across the breeding programme.

What You’ll Bring
- Registered Veterinary Nurse with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons.

- Advanced knowledge of canine anatomy and reproduction, gained through academic study and/or practical experience.
