PURPOSE OF POSITION
This is a critical operational leadership role that is responsible for the operation of the
organisation’s supported accommodation services.
Providing operational leadership to team managers and ensuring compliance with
organisational, contractual, local authority and legal regulations and the quality of
services is pushed to the highest possible standards; ensuring excellent outcomes for
residents and a positive and high performing working environment for teams.
This role will also be accountable for the development of excellent relationships with
external partners, commissioners, and other key stakeholders for support services in
the organisation.
You will be a key member of the charity's Extended Leadership team
RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
Service Delivery
• Lead in setting organisational standards and performance targets across the
support and resident services teams that reflect contractual requirements and
organisational standards.
• Actively promote and develop person centred practices based on a trauma
informed approach and psychologically informed environment to working with
residents with high support needs and challenging behaviour.
• Be accountable for the operational performance of the services, allocating
resources strategically to ensure that key performance indicators are achieved
and that action plans are in place where required to improve service
performance.
• Remodelling to promote accountability and co-production approaches with
residents.
• Work with the Head of Building & Facilities to ensure your teams put health &
safety procedures into practice to create a safe environment for our residents
and staff. Contribute, and when required, lead on the formation and review of
policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the Frontline Service’s Management On Call rota, providing
support to frontline services outside of office hours
Stakeholder Management
• Build strong relationships with Commissioners and regulatory bodies to enable
the service to meet contractual and regulatory KPI's and requirements.
• Submit management information on a monthly and quarterly basis and produce
other statistics and data as directed by the Director of Frontline Services.
• Responsible for effective liaison with outside agencies including the police, social
services and other statutory and voluntary agencies and delegating this work
where appropriate.
• Represent the organisation externally at forums, conferences and meetings.
• Contribute to the wider management team in frontline services to ensure good
communication, coordination and consistency of practice, approach and
development across the Directorate.
Business Planning and Project Management
• Drive business planning activities within contracts, ensuring relevant and
challenging objective setting and ongoing performance tracking, developing
turn around action plans as may be necessary
• Where agreed, project manage new services or service developments.
• Working closely with Finance Department to set, manage and monitor allocated
budgets for income and expenditure for support and resident services and to
ensure that teams meet performance targets.
• To ensure that financial procedures are maintained at all times in accordance
with organisational policies and procedures.
Managing and Developing People
• Take a leading role in developing a positive, values-based organisational
culture, in line with the charity's Your Place Way approach
• Developing performance targets and quality control measures for teams, and
monitoring performance to ensure that these are met.
• Supporting managers and teams by setting clear objectives and holding
individual supervisions regularly.
• Ensuring good communication across teams by holding team meetings
regularly, and additional briefings as necessary.
• Inducting new managers and planning the continuous professional development
of existing managers through annual appraisals.
• Managing the workload of teams to ensure that adequate cover is provided at
all times.
Safeguarding
• Act as Safeguarding Lead for the organisation
• To actively promote an open and accountable approach across the
organisation as a whole that ensures the organisation meets our legal duties,
keeps our policies up to date, and puts our residents' best interests at the
forefront.
Intensive Housing Management
• Ensure that our landlord responsibilities are delivered in a person-centred way
and in line with our regulatory and legal responsibilities
• Oversee the creation of a welcoming, safe and inclusive environment across all
our services that is responsive to resident needs.
• Develop standards and practice that provide clear evidence-based reporting to
meet regulatory compliance
General
• To attend meetings internally as and when necessary, for example, Directorate,
Management and planning meetings.
• To undertake such other duties within the competence of the post holder which
may be required from time to time.

Experience

Summary of the role:
The Income Generation Support Officer will provide day-to-day administrative departmental support and support to the department Director to ensure the successful delivery of the organisation’s operations in an efficient manner. This role will focus on generating reports, tracking progress, and ensuring all the necessary processes relating to compliance, finance and HR are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
About the Role:
- Maintain and improve departmental filing systems to achieve maximum efficiency.
- Prepare purchase orders and document payments according to Muslim Aid’s financial procedure and in conjunction with the Finance team to ensure speedy payment of invoices for internal / external stakeholders.
- Undertake small-scale project work including researching, analysing and recommending next steps.
- Provide support to the IGM management team in responding to correspondence, booking meetings, minute-taking, planning and supporting events, organising travel and preparing travel itineraries and relevant tasks as required.
- Track Managers delivery of action points to ensure timeframes and outcomes are met, escalating to Head or Director of IGM for further action as appropriate.
- Undertake full inbox and extensive diary management, ensuring an effective use of time and preparation of information in advance. Sort, redirect and action emails and review an effective ‘bring up’ system to brief and prepare the Director Income Generation and Marketing for meetings / events.

About CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and we’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. We educate people on the signs of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests monthly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves.
We do this because when diagnosed early, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection can save lives.
Breast cancer does not need to be detected late, and as long as we are here and continue to be supported by people like you, we will do all we can to make sure this doesn’t continue to happen.
The Role
The Senior Challenge Events Manager maternity cover role is crucial to ensure a smooth delivery of a busy portfolio of challenge events in 2026, forecast to bring in £2.8million - plus some planning for 2027. We need someone to step into this role to continue driving our growth strategy – where we are one year into a three year plan. This department’s work is vital for the continual diversification of our income, through expanding our portfolio of challenge events and recruitment of new participants. This department includes all of our third party challenge events, including the London marathon, as well as our bespoke ‘CoppaTrek!’ programme.
Leading a team of five, the Senior Challenge Events Manager will need to hit the ground running to oversee all events booked in, providing hands-on support for these events. Unusually, the Bespoke Challenge Events Manager (the manager covering the work on treks at CoppaFeel!, a direct report for this role) will also be a maternity cover role for the same period of time. This elevates the need for clean, organised and focused delivery of our events.
The Senior Challenge Events Manager will also need to represent the challenge events team internally to integrate them into the wider organisational goals, contributing to a fundraising culture at CoppaFeel!.
In addition to overseeing the delivery of 2026, the Senior Challenge Events Manager will need to prepare and plan for 2027, and work with other teams to successfully launch them towards the end of 2026. They will be required to create the budget for 2027’s events including all phased income and expenditure.
As this is an events role, you will be required to attend events out of hours and can take TOIL according to our policy. This includes attending multi day treks which we host both in the UK and abroad. In 2026, there will be three multi day treks (June, July and September – one in UK and two abroad) and two One Day treks (on weekends in June and September). There will be many challenge events in the Spring and Autumn seasons. Therefore, please bear in mind that as part of this role, you will be expected to travel and stay away from home for up to 9 days at a time. The benefit being you get to see some incredible parts of the world and meet amazing people.
In terms of the office, it is a hybrid role, with the expectation that you will attend the London office two days per week.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months.
Duties and Responsibilities
Portfolio Delivery
- Deliver the challenge events programme and support the team to raise 2.8 million pounds in 2026.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of our CoppaTrek! Events to raise income target of 2.3 million pounds, with direct input and management when required.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of our Sporting Challenge Events, to raise £500,000, often attending events and supporting on-the-day when required.
- Oversee and support with delivery of the current strategies in place to grow the portfolio of Challenge Events, driving the increase in the number of participants and revenue.
- Oversee and support with delivery of the current strategies in place to grow the income from CoppaTrek! In 2026 and beyond.
- Manage the budget for the full events department, working closely with the Director of Fundraising.
- Maximise on any opportunities to improve our Treks and making them more efficient/sustainable year-on-year.
- Be embedded in the management of the treks day-to-day, to celebrity recruitment and retention, and volunteer management.
- Plan 2027 portfolio in line with growth strategy, and support Bespoke Challenge Events Manager with 2027 trek launch towards the end of 2026.
Managing Key Stakeholders
- Liaise with and support all celebrities signed up for our treks, and potentially support in sourcing celebrities.
- Lead on the PR for challenge events, working with the PR and Marketing team to publicise events throughout the year, often working closely with high profile supporters to do so.
- Harness excellent relationships with key suppliers (such as Charity Challenge, our trek supplier) to ensure CoppaFeel! Receive the best support and prices for 2026 and beyond.
- Work with partnerships team to secure trek sponsors and support with year-round relationships.
Monitoring and Evaluation
- Monitor, analyse and ensure donor journeys/supporter experiences are appropriate and successful for both Challenge Events and Treks.
- Ensure CoppaFeel!’s events reflect sector trends and are able to compete with other charity portfolios where possible.
- Understand and advocate for supporters, inspiring them to engage and fundraise, ensuring our thanking and engagement strategies encourage long term support and repeat giving.
- Ensure ROI and key performance metrics are used to make evidence based decisions and are kept to the best we can manage.
- Report on events to the Heads of Department to update and alert them to all opportunities for cross team working.
Team Support and Management
- Lead and inspire the Challenge Events Team to meet their objectives and live the CoppaFeel! values.
- Line manage the Challenge Events Manager and Bespoke Challenge Events Manager, and oversee the management of our more junior team members ensuring they have an annual performance review, learning and development plans, KPI’s, and are supported to meet their fundraising targets.
- Champion cross team collaboration, finding a way to embed fundraising across the CoppaFeel! culture whilst also demonstrating an understanding of other team’s priorities and strategies.
- Responsible for the knowledge of regulation relevant to Challenge Events including GDPR, Gift Aid, VAT and fundraising best practice.
- Work with the Head of Finance on budgeting, reporting, re-forecasting income and ROI.
- Produce progress reports as required to the Director of Fundraising.

- Excellent record keeping at all times of all Challenge Events, Treks and communications on the CoppaFeel! shared Google Drive.
- Keep diary and shared calendar up-to-date, shared communications across the organisation including desk booking systems, People HR, Weekly Round Up and contribute to team meetings.
- Ensure excellent financial records are kept including invoicing, contracts for suppliers, cheques and cash collections, and team expenses, following CoppaFeel! finance policies.

- A physical exhibition in Mary Sumner House, and a virtual exhibition which can tour.
- Between March (Lady Day) and August (Mary Sumner Day) a range of events organized by provinces and local dioceses, for membership and fundraising, including picnics, Sunday Takeovers and local initiatives such as tree planting.
- In South Africa in October, a Global Gathering of 2500 members and guests, preceded by a leadership. meeting (“Worldwide Council”) and followed by a Worldwide Board meeting.
- For all, a cohesive communications plan is being prepared.
Current Status
Individual teams are taking ownership of elements, which particularly for membership and fundraising initiatives include targets for delivery. These are being finalized as part of the current budgeting process
We are, however, a small staff team, and this workload will be exceptional. Teams are discussing interdependencies and synergies across work streams, but there is a need to ensure that these are coordinated and monitored, and any issues or clashes in priority quickly identified and resolved. Throughout, close collaboration between the staff team and membership will be essential.
The role
There is a need for an experienced project manager to join the team, from October 2025 to November 2026, to provide co-ordination across streams and stakeholders, flag issues early, ensure that all activities are properly planned, resourced and within budget, and that relevant stakeholders are kept informed.
Key Responsibilities
In collaboration with each stream leader, to put together a masterplan with associated budgets, drawing together what has already been prepared, and flagging any potential gaps, synergies or conflicts, for resolution.
This plan will identify clearly accountabilities (and how these sit with the wider work of teams and individuals, staff and members or volunteers).
With the leads, to share the masterplan with the Board, for approval, and provide regular reporting, in line with agreed milestones.
For South Africa: In line with the governance structure approved by the Board in September, to be the coordinator for the Steering Group, Operational Committee and on the ground event management teams, ensuring seamless communications, and timely reporting as required; to manage practical issues with delegates from outside S Africa as they arise, for example around ticketing, and to manage stakeholders. This will, and will require close collaboration with the Director of Fundraising and Communications as senior staff lead and almost certainly require one or more site visits.
For centrally organized events in London: To provide the detailed project management under the Membership Team, ensuring that necessary resource is drawn in for support at key times before, during and if needed after the events; to actively engage in delivery on the days, as required.
For Province and Diocese led events: To work with the Board lead to capture and track all events and their impact, and ensure that resources are made available through the central teams to agreed schedules, and reports received back for communications. This will include ensuring a shared understanding of the initiatives, and the benefits for the wider membership.
For Communications: To work with the lead and all teams, to ensure that all are agreed on and understand the priorities through the year, and that the processes in place to deliver.
Impact tracking: To agree / confirm with each workstream the target impact, and to track against this. To prepare an initial overall impact assessment by end November, 2025.
Reporting: The project manager will report operationally into the CEO or an agreed SLT member, and will provide monthly summary reports to the SLT, flagging any issues for resolution, and timely reports for the Board.
Mothers’ Union is a Christian organization, and all events will be inspired by the Christian faith. The postholder would need to be comfortable in working in a Christian environment, and a practicing Christian would be an advantage.
A project management qualification, such as Prince 2, would be a distinct advantage, and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management.

About the role

About you

Salary: £32,800 FTE per annum
Duration: Until 31st March 2027 (with possibility of extension)
Hours: 0.6 - 1 FTE (3 – 5 days per week) – The role can be configured for part-time or full time working
Location: Hybrid – NASP have an office space at London's Southbank Centre which can be used by staff at any time. The role will be expected to work up to 2 days per week in the office with the remainder at home, depending on agreed hours. There may also be additional occasional travel required for staff days and other events.

Purpose of This Role:
This is a key role within the NASP Operations team, providing exceptional support to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) currently consisting of CEO, Executive Director of Strategy & Partnerships, and Director of Operations; as well as the Board of Trustees. In addition, the role will play a central role in driving best practice and efficiency across the organisation as part of the wider Operations team.
The role will support communication between NASP and our key stakeholders and partners (including government officials, ministerial departments, and international sector leaders), providing detailed administrative support, requiring a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and an ability to work flexibly and proactively. In addition, the role will act as the main point of contact for our relationship with London's Southbank Centre, where the NASP office is based, including managing room bookings and logistics for key meetings.
The role would suit an energetic, proactive, and highly organised individual who is driven by the mission of NASP, and wants to contribute across the organisation to make an impact. As a member of the Operations team, there may also be opportunities to apply the core skills of this role, such as scheduling, logistics, and document creation/management, to support wider organisational projects; and to develop within the role, depending on agreed FTE and capacity.
Person Specification:
Experience & Knowledge:
• Experience providing high-level EA/PA support; managing complex diaries and mailboxes
• Experience supporting formal meetings, including arranging logistics, agendas, and preparation/dissemination of key documentation
• Minute-taking and summarising of key headlines/actions
• Event management skills such as preparing itineraries and schedules, risk assessments, arranging catering and production, and liaising with venues
• Experience of office management, such as ordering supplies and liaising with service providers
• Experience of project support/coordination, such as overseeing schedules and stakeholder management
• Knowledge of charity governance and best practice (desirable)
• Knowledge of the VCFSE sector and/or Social Prescribing (desirable)

Responsibilities:
Executive Assistant:
• Providing detailed diary administration for the Executive Leadership Team (ELT), consisting of CEO, Executive Director of Strategy & Partnerships, and Director of Operations; prioritising and taking a pro-active approach to both short and long-term planning
• Providing wider diary and scheduling support for the organisation where appropriate (e.g. senior management meetings)
• Supporting key meetings as appropriate, including drafting agendas, minuting, and preparing documentation, as well as logistical support (e.g. room/venue bookings, catering, etc.)
• Supporting ELT in the preparation of materials for presentations such as for Board Meetings, Staff sessions, such as designing/formatting slides & briefing documents
• Acting as an approachable first-point-of-contact for all internal and external stakeholders for ELT and the wider organisation
• Supporting stakeholder management, including tracking contacts, updating statuses, arranging key meetings, and managing key external relationships
• Overseeing administration of wider organisational meetings (e.g. Monday morning team meetings), including transcriptions and agenda planning
• Providing any other administrative or logistical support to ELT as required
• Support ELT with strategic projects as required (depending on agreed FTE)
Board & Trustee Support:
• Acting as key liaison between the NASP board of trustees and the wider organisation
• Ensuring Board papers are drafted, collated and issued in a timely manner including minuting and managing actions, including for all Board Subcommittees (currently Finance/Risk and Remuneration/Culture)
• Overseeing board administration processes, e.g. Conflicts of Interest forms/register, Charity Commission Updates, etc. 4 Registered charity in England (1191145)
• Arranging logistics for Board meetings as required (room bookings, travel, catering, etc.)
• Supporting on trustee recruitment as required, including making arrangements for interviews
Operations Support & Office Management:
• Act as key member of the Operations team, proactively identifying improvements to processes and wider NASP culture
• Oversee shared mailboxes where needed, and providing cover for Operations colleagues when appropriate
• Oversee the management of the NASP Office at Southbank Centre, act as key liaison with venue, and ensuring space is efficiently run
