About the role
The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting, varied position working with Emmaus communities located in the South East region of the UK to increase their profile and engage supporters.
You will work closely with the Emmaus communities in your patch to identify their communications needs and plan and deliver a mix of work to help achieve their goals. As part of a wider team, you will also share ideas and draw on each other’s experiences to maximise PR, digital and communications opportunities.
A typical working week within this role can include:
· A weekly meeting with other Regional Communications Officers to catch up and share ideas and work of interest
· A visit to an Emmaus community to conduct interviews and capture photography and video
· Writing and sending press releases
· Scheduling social media content
· Creating graphics and marketing materials using Canva
· Updating community websites using WordPress
This is a part time position working four days per week (30 hours), Monday to Friday.
Within this role, you can be based at home or in an Emmaus community. Wherever you are based, maintaining positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders is vitally important. The current patch for this role is Emmaus Brighton & Hove, Emmaus Greenwich and Emmaus Dover. Regular travel to these three communities will be required (usually one community visit per week). Travel to team meetings, usually held in Birmingham, and other locations will also be required on occasion.
Who are we looking for?
We require someone with a strong skillset and at least two years’ experience working in a busy communications, public relations or marketing role. Although not essential, knowledge and understanding of homelessness and the charity sector would also be an advantage.
Creativity and passion are a must. You will have a broad range of communications skills, love seeing your creative ideas come to life and keen to develop your skillset within a national homelessness charity.

We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. The role
The Senior Communications Officer is responsible for press liaison, pitching in case studies and news stories about our research to the national press, building relationships with our celebrity patrons and families and creating content for our social media channels. Tyndale House is a renowned institute for biblical studies and possesses one of the finest libraries for biblical research in the world. It aims to grow an international research community, to present the value of the Bible at the highest academic level, to resource the Church to understand and trust the Bible, and to promote informed attitudes to the Bible.
Working collaboratively across our small Communications and Development team, the post holder will develop, deliver and co-ordinate an integrated and effective marketing and communications plan. This is a brilliant opportunity to join our hardworking, creative and supportive MS Cymru team.
You’ll be communicating with both Welsh- and English-speaking audiences, and you must be a fluent Welsh speaker.
We’re looking for a tenacious, proactive Press and Communications Officer to join our team and help us meet our ambitious goals.
Crucially, you’ll promote and deliver media coverage/strategies to promote our work with a particular emphasis on promoting our fundraising, campaigning and service activity.
You’ll also be our point of contact for media enquiries we receive. And you’ll support the development and delivery of our digital communications, ensuring we have a strong and representative social media presence.
The chosen candidate will have relevant experience (such as a press office, PR agency or journalism), and be comfortable managing competing priorities as part of a busy team. You’ll have excellent writing and communications skills in Welsh and English, and a positive attitude.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Marketing and Communications professional to join our team and support both the Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King and the wider archdiocese in developing engaging communications and marketing our events and initiatives. It is an exciting time for the Cathedral as our retail and hospitality outlets are redeveloped. Based within the Communications and IT Team within the Chief Operating Officer’s Department you will support the sharing of the good news of the archdiocese both internally and externally within our parishes, with clergy, schools, officers and stakeholders. As a team we are focussed on growing and developing our existing platforms including our websites and social media channels, as well as supporting the Archbishop, our parishes, clergy and other departments with communication and marketing needs. This role will also lead on supporting the archdiocese in telling the story of the Cathedral, past, present and future and helping build the vision of the new Visitor Centre. We are seeking an experienced professional who can help us translate our vision and engage with our communities and visitors to our city. The successful post-holder will work between St Margaret Clitherow Centre and the Cathedral (2 days per week), with travel across the Archdiocese as required. We are looking for an experienced Senior Communications Officer to join our fast-paced organisation as we grow and maximise opportunities for national delivery. As part of a dynamic and friendly communications and marketing team, your role will help widely raise the profile of TAWS across all areas of work, from creating content for internal and external communications channels, optimising digital content for national reach, building relationships with strategic stakeholders online, to cultivating media relations and drafting impactful press releases.
This role is suited to someone with a passion from tackling inequalities and promoting community wellbeing, and a keen understanding of the social and political landscape in which we operate. You will play a key role in helping to bring the TAWS brand proposition to life, telling our story in compelling and engaging ways to a range of audiences. You will be able to think creatively and see the bigger picture, as well as be comfortable delivering key tasks such as producing a newsletter and social media content. You will be responsible for communications about our key projects, and priorities, taking complex and varied information and translating it into content that promotes the work of TAWS and its impact to diverse audiences.
We are working to a hybrid model across the organisation and value in-person contact. This role will require regular weekly working at our head office in Birmingham or other designated offices / locations across the city and travel and work from other locations outside of Birmingham as part of our national work.
Main duties
- Write and edit high quality engaging copy for sharing across internal and external marketing communications channels and in support of the strategic vision, mission and values of TAWS.
- Build organisational profile with key strategic audiences online on social media, the website, digital channels and through content creation.
- Support the development and execution of communications and marketing strategies, tactics and deliverables, in line with the brand proposition; develop and implement quarterly communications plans.
- Working with HR, lead and implement internal communications projects and plans including delivering a monthly internal newsletter and updating the intranet.
- Develop and deliver communications campaigns for positive social change.
- Track analytics and create regular reports detailing effectiveness of communications campaigns and our digital channels.
- Build and maintain relations with local and national media and identify opportunities to amplify our successes and impact.
- Draft press releases and respond to media requests.
- Ensure consistency in terms of tone of voice, branding, messaging and frequency of communications across all channels.
- Source, create, and post content for our social media accounts (using Sprout) and the website, working closely with a range of teams across the organisation including delivery, business development, funding and partnerships.
- Take complex and varied information and translate it into content that promotes the work of TAWS and its impact to diverse audiences
- Proof reading, research thematic issues, new digital tools and media channels.
- Monitor national and local trends, news and opportunities and provide regular internal briefings.
- Keep abreast of new and emergent thinking across wellbeing, community development and tackling inequalities.
- Maintain and update an organisational media library (photos, videos, stories, and audio) in line with data protection/consent.
- Capture and record media to promote projects and key priorities in line with data protection/consent
- Provide design support for comms collateral, reports, newsletters, brochures, flyers, posters and presentations using appropriate software (e.g., Canva, Adobe, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for a range of audiences.
- Carry out all duties as may be reasonably assigned from time to time and within the level of this job description.

This is an incredibly exciting time to join Claire House as we deliver an ambitious five-year strategy to reach more children and develop our second site in Liverpool. We need an experienced internal communications officer who can take complex ideas and make them sound simple and engaging.
This role will provide expert internal communications advice and support across the organisation, helping to communicate progress on key projects and improving employee engagement and organisational culture. You will also work with external stakeholders including families and healthcare professionals. The job will include drafting messaging, copy writing, developing engaging content and marketing materials and implementing communications project plans.
Previous experience in a similar organisation is desirable, but internal communications expertise, lots of energy and an ability to build relationships are essential. In return, this role will offer an opportunity to help the hospice transform the way it works, massively increase its impact and the vital support it offers to seriously and terminally ill babies, children, young adults and their families.
This role is full time 37.5 hours per week.

Internal Communications Officer
Hybrid Working: Connexional Team staff based at Methodist Church House have a hybrid work pattern which is currently 2 days in the office, and 3 days remote.
About the Role
We are looking to appoint an Internal Communications Officer who will play a critical role in developing and shaping the organisation’s internal communications for the staff of the Connexional Team.
The post holder will work closely with Senior Managers to ensure that the Team’s values, mission and updates are effectively communicated to all Team members working across several sites and from home, to foster a cohesive and motivated work environment.
The successful applicant will strive to create an environment where communication
fosters a sense of community, aligned with the Church’s mission and values to create an engaged and informed Connexional Team.
In this crucial role, the Internal Communications Officer will be responsible for establishing and managing channels for staff feedback to leadership, producing engaging content for various channels, and organising and delivering internal events.
The successful applicant will also provide support and training for staff on communication tools and practices, encourage staff to be ambassadors of the Church, and plan and approve regular communications to be sent out to employees including staff newsletters and newsletters from Team members.
About You
The post holder will have at least three years’ experience of working with an internal communications context within an organisation and will have the ability to develop and implement comprehensive internal communications strategies that align with the organisation’s values.
You will be able to articulate messages clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally, that are tailored to various internal audiences. Exceptional writing, editing and proof-reading skills for a range of communication channels are a must for this role.
You will also have strong organisational skills with the ability to lead projects, work collaboratively and be proficient in digital communication tools and platforms.
The successful applicant will have strong interpersonal and listening skills with experience in building relationships with key internal stakeholders.
