Main Duties & Responsibilities

Volunteer Recruitment & Onboarding

• Lead end-to-end recruitment and onboarding of volunteers across all Hospice roles, including clinical, wellbeing, family support, retail, fundraising, finance, facilities and administrative roles.
• Deliver a high-quality, seamless onboarding experience for volunteer applicants.
• Co-deliver monthly Introduction to Volunteering sessions, including follow-up engagement.
• Maintain effective recruitment pipelines to meet service needs.
• Support with recruitment campaigns for high priority volunteering roles.

Compliance & Governance

• Oversee volunteer compliance, ensuring volunteers, where required:
  • Have satisfactory references
  • Are DBS-checked
  • Complete and refresh mandatory training, including face-to-face safeguarding and relevant onboarding training via departments
• Maintain accurate compliance records within CRM systems.
• Monitor and report on DBS and safeguarding renewals, liaising with volunteers, team leaders and the education team.
• Ensure adherence to Hospice policies, legal requirements and best practice

Volunteer Operations & Service Delivery

• Provide front line guidance and advice on volunteer involvement and best practice to volunteer involving teams.
• Work with education team to co-facilitate Hospice Connections training sessions where required.
• Build strong cross-departmental relationships to align volunteering with organisational priorities.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the volunteer lifecycle and provide guidance and support to managers in planning volunteer requirements, recruitment, onboarding, induction, training, ongoing supervision, recognition, development, issue resolution, and volunteer exit processes.
• Part of the People Team office cover answering telephone, email and in person queries or directing the enquiry to the right place to be resolved. This includes monitoring the volunteering and volunteer reference and volunteer rota inboxes.
• Arrange regular meetings with Hospice volunteer managers to:
  • Review volunteer pipelines and activity
  • Analyse data and service needs
  • Identify opportunities for collaboration and service improvement
• Be a main point of contact for volunteers in key operational roles (e.g. IPU Kitchen, Meet & Greet), including recruitment, onboarding, supervision, and ongoing support

• Organise IPU volunteer rota planning and management (forward planning and weekly), ensuring adequate cover and resolving last-minute gaps, arranging shadow shifts and organising mentor allocation.
• Manage and organise tasks for admin volunteers within the Voluntary Services team.

Volunteer Engagement & Experience

• Support with the planning and delivery of an annual programme of volunteer engagement events (e.g. Sunday lunches, feedback forums, seasonal events): Coordinate event logistics including communications, RSVPs, venues, catering and health & safety.
• Actively gather, review and respond to volunteer feedback to continuously improve the volunteer experience.
• Coordinate and support volunteer communications across the organisation, including the production and distribution of the monthly volunteer bulletin and volunteer updates.
• Foster a positive, inclusive and motivating environment for volunteers.

Data, Systems & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain high standards of data accuracy across volunteer systems and records.
• Use data insights to inform planning and improve service delivery.
• Identify and suggest improvements to volunteer processes, including onboarding and rota systems.

General Responsibilities

• Represent the Hospice and uphold its values and reputation at all times.
• Support organisational income generation activities where appropriate.
• Identify and engage in continuous professional development opportunities, sharing learning with colleagues.
• Contribute to ongoing service improvement across volunteering and wider Hospice operations.

Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Knowledge & Approach

Essential

• Demonstrable experience in volunteer coordination or management
• Experience overseeing compliance processes (e.g. DBS, safeguarding, governance)
• Experience managing rotas, logistics or service delivery functions
• Demonstrated experience coordinating volunteer recruitment and onboarding processes
• A strong understanding of volunteer management best practice, including relevant legislation, policies, compliance requirements, safeguarding, DBS processes, and governance.
• Awareness of developments within the voluntary sector and hospice volunteering to ensure organisational practices remain current, effective, and compliant.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and database management
• Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication, diplomacy, and problem-solving ability

Desirable

About the role

You will be primarily providing administrative support to a team across a range of functions within the Thames Valley, managing Excel spreadsheets and internal databases; managing calls to and from a range of people who have been impacted by crime. You will be able to demonstrate the excellent organisational skills essential to managing a demanding and diverse workload.

We support staff and volunteers to keep them safe within their role and you will be given all the training you need to be able to manage your role effectively. This role can at times be emotionally challenging and you may be exposed to demanding situations that requires resilience. As with all staff within the HS, you will be expected to engage with clinical supervision and supervision with you line manager.

What we do

The Role

This is a new opportunity to develop the role of Fundraising and Partnerships Manager to lead the identification, development and submission of new funding proposals, and to lead on relationship management with new and potential investors.   You will work closely with the technical and operation teams.

About You

Bringing your experience of funding development to ENN, you will be ready to jump in and progress work quickly to capitalise on critical time sensitive funding opportunities. You will be comfortable assessing diverse funding opportunities, building and maintaining partner relationships, coordinating the development of grant applications and proposals in line with organisational priorities, ensuring they are tailored to donor and investor motivations and interests.

Terms and Conditions

Hours of work: Part-time flexible working, up to 22.5 hours per week/ 0.6FTE

Type of contract:  Part time. 12 months fixed term contract initially

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead on identifying and researching new potential investors in the private and corporate sectors to support a broader and more diverse funding base.

2. Work with the Technical team on finding and engaging with new opportunities and starting up discussion with potential new investors

3. Support relationship management with investors and potential investors, in coordination with relevant project leads.

4. Coordinate the development and submission of new funding proposals that fit with ENN’s strategic direction, working with technical and operations staff to prepare all required proposal documentation in line with funding guidelines and timelines.

5. Ensure due diligence checks are completed on potential funders and partner capacity assessments on potential subgrantees.

6. Maintain ENN’s ‘live’ funding database

7. Contribute to the review and development of ENN’s funding strategy

Person Specification

· Experience in working with a diverse range of donors or investors to develop funding opportunities.

· Experience developing compelling funding proposals that respond to the needs of potential investors and are in line with organisational strategy, values and expertise.

· Success in securing funding from a range of funders or investors – such as public, private, corporate, institutional, multinational banks, and experience of direct fundraising with major donors (trusts and foundations/high net worth individuals, corporates).

· Ability to represent ENN externally, broker connections and communicate with diverse range of investors.

· Ability to broker and coordinate inputs from team members across projects and a range of specialities (technical, operations, finance)

· Ability to understand donor proposal requirements/application guidance.

· Ability to manage a diverse and busy workload, prioritising effectively, and able to work both independently and as a member of the wider team.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, working well with other team members and stakeholders (both internal and external).

You will be supporting women who street sex work and are at a high risk of domestic and sexual violence. About the Role

You will provide high quality support to all victims of APV/CPV, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also provide cover for the local VS Helpline. If further funding became available there may be an opportunity for more hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and assess the risks and needs of APV/CPV victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a pro-active, short to medium term crisis intervention service. Deliver individually appropriate tailored support and information, advocacy, and practical support.
• Work with victims of APV/CPV to assist them in accessing services to keep them and their family safe. Develop individual safety plans to meet victim's needs as identified in the risks and needs assessment.
• Ensure each victim receives an individually appropriate tailored support and information service that fully meets their needs, keeping complex needs central to all processes and decisions.
• Work within the legal framework relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults, including the policy and procedures of the Local Safeguarding Adult and Children's Boards.
• Providing advocacy and information to victims including exploration of legal and civil options, housing, health and finance and support victims through the criminal justice system.
• Support the empowerment of the victim.
• Comply with data protection legislation, confidentiality and information sharing policy and procedures, as well as all legislation connected to your work.

About you

You will need:

• A good command of the English language both verbally and in writing.
• A good understanding of APV/CPV and/or domestic abuse including the impact of these on victims and their children.
• Understand the principles of risk assessment, safety planning and risk management for victims of domestic abuse and their children.
• Understand Safeguarding issues and the legal responsibilities surrounding these issues
• Direct service delivery experience to victims of domestic abuse or APV/CPV
• Experience of working within a multi-agency and legislative framework
• Experience of managing a complex caseload, to prioritise work and deal with competing demands
• Strong crisis management skills and the ability to deal with stressful and difficult situations
• Good communication, negotiation and advisory skills, both written and verbal when interacting with a range of agencies and individuals

Raising awareness of cardiomyopathy, its signs, symptoms and genetic risk, is also within the team's scope. Too many people are still diagnosed late because neither they nor their GP knew what to look for. The Director will drive our communications and marketing agenda purposefully, equally ensuring the charity’s external profile is actively managed and enhanced.

Purpose of This Role: 

This key support role will work with colleagues across the organisation to ensure NASP’s data and key systems, including our CRM (Microsoft Dynamics 365), dashboards and databases, are effective, accurate, and useful. This includes improving data capture, enabling consistent reporting, and ensuring that quality data can be used to support organisational priorities.

The role will support colleagues to use systems confidently and understand data requirements, providing analytic solutions that meet the needs of the organisation, and identifying where practices and systems can be improved.

The role will sit within the wider Operations team who oversee the core business and operational functions of NASP, including Finance, HR, Governance, Project Support, Administration, and Logistics. As a member of this team, the role will provide general administrative support to NASP programmes, liaising with our CRM support provider (Chorus) and IT provider (Logicata) to act as an essential bridge between internal colleagues and these external technical experts.

As NASP continues to develop its membership and training offers, the Data and Systems Officer will support the growth of this work, ensuring that systems and data flows are aligned, and leading on the technical management of data within these systems. The role will also support teams with reporting and evaluation, making effective use of NASP’s data. 

This is an ideal opportunity for a proactive and highly organised individual with excellent data management, administrative, and technical skills (particularly working with CRMs) to support across the range of NASP’s programmes and projects, as well as development of new systems and processes.

Responsibilities: 

CRM and Systems Management  

• Ensure colleagues across the organisation are effectively using the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics); as well as other key data systems, supporting with staff training and guidance, providing advice and support where needed to ensure the team feels positive and confident using them in their day-to-day work.

• Undertake regular reviews & audits of data stored on the CRM to amend errors (e.g. duplicate records), and identify gaps or areas of concern, ensuring a smooth user experience.

• Oversee NASP’s Data inbox, responding to enquiries and escalating concerns or risks. 

• Working with Director of Operations to proactively support NASP to meet data compliance; to identify any data risks and to mitigate these, including gaps in data capture or poor system use. 

• Present data through reports and produce insights to support NASP’s evidence, evaluation and reporting needs (e.g. for grant funders, programme evaluation or trustee board reports). 

• Work with NASP colleagues to improve how data is used in their work, building good data habits across the organisation. 

• Identify and address common issues in how documents and information are managed across the organisation, ensuring standards are maintained consistently across NASP.

 Systems Integration

The Organisation

Action on Disability (AoD), founded in 1979, is one of London’s leading Deaf and Disabled People’s Organisations. The organisation is a medium sized charity with a Board of Trustees (at least 75% is disabled trustees), 20 staff and a strong ad hoc staff and volunteer base including many with direct experience of disability – all of whom are passionate about removing the barriers that disabled people face.

AoD provides five key services. These are: Youth, Employment, Welfare Benefits, Independent Living and Our Place.

AoD’s Independent Living Service

The Independent Living Service (Self-Directed Support Service) is a new service that will provide support to Direct Payment users within the borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The service will enable disabled people to have genuine choice and control over the way in which they lead their lives.The post-holder will be working alongside disabled people to enable them to have more choice and control over their care and support needs.

Purpose of Post

To work with individuals, their family and friends (where appropriate) to provide them with information, advice and assistance to enable them to access and manage a Direct Payment

(DP) and recruit and manage a Personal Assistant (PA).

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Support to individuals employing their own Personal (care) Assistant (PA) or engage an agency to deliver care and support.

1. Provide information and advice on becoming an employer and the role of the Personal Assistant.
2. Ensure that the client understands their legal obligations and responsibilities of being an employer.
3. Work with clients to: set up a profile on the Find-a-pa website, advertise and recruit a Personal Assistant, create a personalised job description and specification identify the level of experience and training requirements needed for the role.
4. Advise and help to calculate the PA’s salary and on costs (full training provided).
5. Support the client through the interview process and where necessary sit in during interviews.
6. Support individuals to reference, check legal status and where necessary DBS their support worker.
7. Support individuals to set up an induction plan for their PA and enable them to identify training needs.
8. Support the client to complete payroll and insurance documentation.
9. Work with the client to draw up a Statement of Particular (contract) for the employed PA (templates provided).
10. Encourage DP employers to take a lead in all employment issues. Information on where to seek advice e.g. ACAS, Fish and Premier Care helpline will be given and clients will be encouraged to use them.
11. Ensure that the individual has a back-up plan for emergencies.
12. Encourage DP employers to be assertive and proactive with their Personal Assistants.
13. Work with agencies to set up support for clients who may not wish to employ a PA directly.

Ongoing support to individuals in receipt of Direct Payments

1. Providing advice on employment issues.
2. Support individuals to solve practical problems e.g. lateness of staff, change of needs.
3. Support individuals to recruit again if necessary.
4. Assist individuals to re-look at budgets, training and job descriptions as they change over time.
5. Assist individuals to ensure that they continue to manage their Direct Payment or budget.
6. Support individuals to make informed choices.
7. Meet with the DP Support Group on a regular basis.
8. Assist in the development of training and other resources to support employers to manage their DP and their PA relationships.
9. Develop links and professional relationships with Social Work teams to support a healthy level of referrals.
