Night Support Workers enable people with needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.

What you'll do:

• Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
• Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
• Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals

• Working in partnership with the London Borough of Newham and East London Foundation Trust, Ibis House provides short-term, person-centred support to individuals who are medically fit for discharge from mental health inpatient services but face other barriers to discharge. These barriers may include housing issues, independent living skills, access to benefits, community engagement, or other support needs.
• The service also supports individuals experiencing a mental health or psychological crisis where hospital admission may be considered, but where the person is not too unwell or distressed to safely benefit from a step-up bed stay.
• Ibis House accepts referrals from the community, particularly in the early stages of relapse, with the aim of preventing further deterioration, avoiding hospital admission, and reducing the likelihood of full relapse.
• The primary aim of the service is to provide time-limited support that connects individuals with appropriate longer-term services, helping to reduce escalation of need, prevent inpatient readmissions, and ease pressure on inpatient beds..
• To exercise responsibilities under the current Health & Safety legislation and Equal Opportunities Policy as laid down or amended by Look Ahead Housing Association
• To act at all times in accordance with the aims, philosophy and practice of the service
• Taking on shift leading responsibilities by coordinating and leading shifts in the absence of a manager
• Adhere to all the policies and procedures of Look Ahead Care & Support plus those specific to the project including any statutory requirements
• Being responsible for the handover of key information between shifts
• Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills
• Undertaking any other duties consistent with the grade and nature of the post as assigned by the Team Leader/Manager

Are you passionate about working 1-to-1 with young prison-leavers from a variety of backgrounds; many of whom are from marginalised communities, to help them lead more stable, rewarding lives?

As a Switchback Mentor, you will play a vital role in transforming the lives of young prison-leavers, helping them break free from the justice system and build stable, rewarding futures. You will be responsible for building your own caseload by engaging directly with young men in prison and providing intensive support after their release. In addition to working with those you meet in prison; you will also support Trainees referred to the programme after they have already been released.

Once on the programme, you will maintain regular contact with Trainees, meeting face-to-face at least once a week to help them navigate the challenges of being recently released from prison and work towards their goals. Most importantly, you will do this in a way that reflects Switchback’s core values: putting Trainees at the heart of everything we do, setting high expectations, and building authentic, supportive relationships that enable lasting change.

It is essential that Mentors can confidently and professionally engage with all Trainees who meet the eligibility criteria for the Switchback programme, providing them with the support and guidance needed to move forward positively.

Hi, I'm P and I am a 27-year-old man who currently lives in a supported living service in Newham. I have lived here for just over one year, and came to England with my mother from Poland in 2015.
I am a friendly and engaged man, but I speak very little English and communicate easiest in Polish so need someone who can support me with this and support me with learning some English. I do enjoy staying connected with my Polish heritage but would like support to socialise better with those around me. I have a very good relationship with my family, particularly my mother, brother, nieces and nephews, and usually spend the weekends with my mother at her home when I can.
I enjoy dancing and singing, and like watching Youtube to sing and dance along to the videos. I also attend the local learning zone for crafting classes, and enjoy games and other crafting activities. I also enjoy "man things" like sports and drinking coffee (decaf!) or going shopping and to the pub (where I enjoy non-alcoholic beer). It is important to me that I can live as independent and adult a life as possible.
My favourite foods are burgers, pizza and cola but I need to be supported and encouraged to keep healthy, and make healthy choices as well as maintain my environment - I may need prompting and support to engage in chores such as cleaning my room, doing my laundry, washing up etc.
I am looking for a proactive individual to support me with these daily living skills, building and maintaining relationships, keeping myself and my home safe but also to help me develop my skills to live more independently, to share my hobbies and interests and to explore new activities.
I am looking for someone who is a good and clear communicator, in both Polish and English, is assertive, has good IT skills and shares my enthusiasm for what interests me, like music, food and meaningful activities.

Duties and key responsibilities

Financial Administration and Bookkeeping

• Maintain up-to-date records in Sage 50.
• Import weekly transactions through Sage Bank Feeds.
• Process purchase invoices, card transactions, and payments, ensuring correct coding to nominal and departmental ledgers.
• Import bank receipts into Sage from Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Maintain the card transaction spreadsheet and ensure receipts are collected.
• Generate sales invoices and support credit control activities.
• Assist with posting routine month-end journals as directed.
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations for review by the Senior Finance Officer.
• Work with the Database Officer to reconcile income between Sage 50, the income spreadsheet and Raiser’s Edge NXT.
• Maintain organised financial files to support monthly reporting and the year-end audit.
• Assist with tracking restricted income and expenditure as required.
• Paying cheques and cash into the bank account in a timely manner.

Support to the Finance Team

• Prepare supporting documentation for month-end and audit.

About KCSC

KCSC is the recognised voluntary sector ‘infrastructure’ organisation, also known as a Council for the Voluntary Sector (CVS), for the borough. Our members are voluntary and community groups and organisations serving residents of the borough. At KCSC we support organisations like these through the provision of news, training, advice and information. We also facilitate the voice of the local voluntary and community sector (VCS) and represent the sector at a strategic level.

Main purpose of the role 

• To provide administrative support in the running of KCSC’s office and activities.
• To maintain accurate attendance records on the database and update and maintain membership details.
• To provide administrative support to social prescribing programme My Care My Way using Charity Log.
• Respond to general enquiries from service users and the general public as required.

Events/Training

• Lead on supporting the delivery of KCSC events, training workshops and KCSC’s Annual General Meeting.  Take meeting actions and sending out pre-event and post-event communications.
• Use the CiviCRM database, website and other media to promote and publicise KCSC's external events to encourage maximum take up.
• Produce feedback forms, collate data and support the team with monitoring and reporting.

Communications 

• Ensure that the processes for managing communications and events work smoothly.
• Work with the Data and Comms Officer (DCO) to keep the website and database up to date including the routine administration of the database and website.
• Support the work of the DCO in communication with stakeholders.

Co-ordinate the WARM Network (Apr – Sept 2026)

• Coordinate and facilitate the Wellbeing and Resilience Mentor (WaRM) Network, which supports local voluntary sector staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality money guidance and referrals for residents experiencing financial hardship.
• Liaise with key national partners, including the Money and Pensions Service (MaPs) and Feeding Britain, and act as a central point of contact for Kensington and Chelsea’s voluntary and community sector (VCS) around financial wellbeing resources.
• Promote access to training, funding and networking opportunities that support organisations working with people at the sharpest end of the cost-of-living crisis.

Support for Health & Wellbeing Programme – My Care My Way

• Manage the NHS Self-Care email inboxes.
• Process all referrals to the Self-Care Programmes via Charity Log in a timely and accurate manner and ensure all appropriate information is received. Liaise with referrers and providers if information is insufficient.
• Act as the key point of contact for referrers and the contracted providers with regards to referrals.
• Provide Charity Log training and support to providers and partners.
• Use data collected on Charity Log to make recommendations on service-delivery changes and payments adjustments and carry out changes once approved.
• Support Project Officers with monthly monitoring when required.

General 

• Promote the role of KCSC and support its overall aims and activities.
• Utilise KCSC’s website and social media as a tool for communication with stakeholders as required.
• At all times, work within KCSC’s policies and procedures.
• Receive regular supervision from the line manager for the role and attend training courses as required.
• Work outside of normal office hours on occasional evening or weekends as required.
• Undertake any other duties as requested by the line manager for the role that are commensurate to the post.

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Frontline Support Services Lead to take day-to-day ownership of our specialist support service. This is a senior, hands-on role for a practitioner who is equally confident providing direct 1:1 support to high-risk clients and leading a small team of frontline Support Workers.

As our Founder and CEO steps back from operational delivery of frontline support, you will be the heartbeat of our frontline work — ensuring every person who reaches out to us receives safe, culturally sensitive, trauma-informed support.

• Hours: 21 hours per week (7 hours per day, 3 days per week)

What You'll Do

Direct Client Support

• Provide trauma-informed 1:1 support via phone and email to LGBTQI+ individuals and parents from religious and culturally conservative backgrounds.

• Hold complex, high-risk cases with confidence and care, including those involving suicide ideation, honour-based abuse, forced marriage, domestic abuse, and emergency relocation.

• Maintain clear professional boundaries while delivering culturally sensitive, community-rooted support.

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Line manage two existing freelance Support Workers and support the onboarding of a third.

• Provide regular case supervision, complex case guidance, and decision-making support.

• Champion staff wellbeing and safe working practices in emotionally demanding frontline work.

Safeguarding & Risk Management

• Act as the senior safeguarding lead for all frontline services.

• Lead on DASH risk assessments, safeguarding escalations, and referrals, including MARAC processes where required.

• Ensure safeguarding procedures, escalation pathways, and professional boundaries are consistently upheld.

Support Group Facilitation

• Co-host our monthly LGBTQI+ support group, alternating facilitation with the CEO (Wednesday evenings, once per month).

Case Management System Transition

• Lead the operational migration from our legacy case recording system to a new case management platform, including data migration, process development, and staff training.

Who We're Looking For

You will need to demonstrate:

• Significant frontline experience in suicide prevention, domestic abuse, honour-based abuse, or specialist crisis support.

• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, DASH risk assessment, and escalation in high-risk contexts.

• Experience managing or supervising frontline support staff in a specialist or statutory setting.

• A trauma-informed, person-centred approach to support delivery.

• The ability to build trust through shared cultural understanding while holding clear professional boundaries.

• Experience working within small, values-led charities or specialist support services.

Working as a Senior Keyworker you will be responsible for supervising a small group of keyworkers, planned and ad-hoc supervision is an integral part of the Senior role, and you will be supporting keyworkers with monthly supervision and have oversight of safeguarding for the women they work with. You will be supporting the quality control for the region which will include dip-checks and data input.

The ability to lead a small team to deliver inclusive, innovative and professional services.  The ability to not only maintain own a small caseload of women, never compromising on quality engagements, but also to role model best practice and lead a small team of Thames Valley wide Keyworkers

Sands is looking to recruit an outstanding and people-focused candidate to lead our Bereavement Support Services Team. This is a high-profile role which is responsible for ensuring that all those approaching Sands for support receive an excellent service that meets their individual needs, that the quality of support provided remains consistently high and all team members are appropriately managed and supported. The role provides an opportunity to make real change by driving the organisational and team strategies to make the support that Sands provides accessible to bereaved families from all backgrounds within the community, as well as groups at higher risk of experiencing stillbirth and neonatal death.

With demonstrable experience of delivering and managing trauma informed bereavement support services and counselling at a strategic level, you will possess an excellent understanding of grief theory and bereavement support and be qualified accordingly. Additionally, you will have experience of working with and providing services for diverse communities and have a good understanding of their specific needs.

As this role will require you to lead a highly motivated and diverse team who are all home-based, you will have excellent people management skills and be able to support your team accordingly. You will have outstanding verbal and written communication skills and be able to develop high quality services which remain responsive to the changing needs of external stakeholders. With excellent relationship building skills, you will demonstrate a high level of empathy in all aspects of your work.

A high level of project leadership skills is essential, as is the ability to produce complex statistical reports and analyse data and trends. A thorough understanding of safeguarding in the context of baby loss and a commitment to ensuring excellent practice is also required.
