As Senior People Officer, you'll play a key role in delivering a high-quality People service across SSAFA. This is a blended role, combining employee relations advice and case support with hands-on responsibility for wellbeing, employee engagement and inclusion. Job purpose:
The Communications Co-ordinator will be responsible for the delivery of NACCOM’s communications strategy. The postholder will co-ordinate all media relations, both proactive and reactive, maintaining excellent relationships with journalists and ensuring high level visibility of key projects and the issue of migrant homelessness and destitution more broadly. This post leads and manages NACCOM’s social media presence, ensuring strong engagement and building NACCOM visibility across its social media platforms, and will play a pivotal role int the development and delivery of a new website. Empowering people with lived experience of the asylum system and destitution to be able to tell their stories in a variety of contexts is integral to the role, as well as a good understanding of delivering a communications function for a network organisation.

The Head of Finance will lead the day-to-day finance function, ensuring our financial information is accurate, timely and useful. The role will oversee financial reporting, controls, compliance, payroll, budgeting and forecasting, while managing and developing the finance team. The postholder will work closely with budget holders and senior leaders to support good financial decision-making across the organisation. The Role
Reporting to the Emotional Support Service Manager, the team will deliver a professional counselling service to stroke survivors, carers and relatives. Counselling sessions are designed to help clients to develop emotional resilience, readjust to life after stroke and prepare to reintegrate into community life.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Providing one to one counselling to stroke survivors, carers and relatives including those with communication or cognitive difficulties
· Providing counselling sessions in person, on-line or by telephone, throughout Liverpool.
· Assessing the appropriateness of counselling for service users by providing emotional needs assessment sessions as well as using appropriate screening/evaluation tools (e.g. PHQ and GAD)
· Managing risk and safeguarding issues in accordance with appropriate legal, ethical and organisational requirements.
About You
You will have:
· An advanced diploma in integrative, humanistic or person-centred counselling/psychotherapy; for example, BACP recognised course or equivalent (i.e. 450 hours skills and theory, 100 hours of supervised practice, 20 hours of personal therapy)
· A minimum of 1 year post qualification supervised clinical practice
· BACP registration (or equivalent) and actively working towards accreditation
· Experience of delivering short-term counselling
· Experience of working with people with cognitive impairment
· A flexible approach to hours and working arrangement, being able to work independently.
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role. We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to work with an innovative and friendly multidisciplinary team at our London Centre, which is a purpose-built centre specifically designed for the treatment of torture survivors, with extensive indoor space and gardens.
About the Role
Our team of experienced clinicians offer a range of specialist therapy interventions, to survivors of torture and organised violence, on an individual and group therapy basis. The interventions equip survivors with the resolve to deal with the physical and psychological impacts of their experiences. Throughout the rehabilitative journey, we closely monitor the impact of the interventions as it relates to each survivor using specifically designed Outcome Tools, which in turn assist in ensuring that the survivors receive the best treatment possible.
About You
To be successful in this role you must be qualified in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, (you will be trained to doctorate level or an equivalent vocational level 7). If you are nearing the completion of your training in either discipline, we would still love to hear from you. You must have knowledge of at least one evidence-based approach to trauma therapy including trauma focused CBT, NET and EMDR, sufficient to be able to deploy this model clinically and determine appropriate intervention pathways. It is also essential that you are registered to practice as a psychologist with HCPC. Due to the psychological trauma experienced by our clients you must have up to date knowledge of relevant mental health and safeguarding legislation. Your role will include offering supervision to trainees.
