Action Medical Research is the leading UK-wide charity dedicated to funding vital research to help sick babies and children. To help achieve this, we are seeking to recruit an Individual Giving Officer (internally titled Direct Marketing Officer – Individual Giving) to join the Direct Marketing Team. In this exciting new role, you will support the delivery of our Individual Giving programme to help recruit and steward supporters through regular giving, lottery, payroll and cash giving programmes.

You’ll be responsible for creating compelling content that inspires people to support our work, while also working closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the smooth planning, delivery, and analysis of campaigns across multiple channels—including direct mail, face-to-face, and digital.

The ideal candidate will bring direct marketing experience, preferably within the charity sector, along with excellent creative and project management skills, and a genuine passion for helping to save and change children’s lives through medical research.

Action Medical Research funds a range of medical research, including genetic, stem cell and, in some cases, animal research. The use of animals is limited and only permitted where no alternative methods are available, and all research is conducted in accordance with strict UK regulations and welfare standards. What you’ll do

As Post Production Manager, you will oversee the Video Team’s post-production operations and line-manage our Video Editors (1 x Video Editor and 2 x Junior Video Editors). You will lead the team in delivering high-quality video content for our platform, ensuring all output meets our editorial standards. You will manage the post-production workflow, support wider projects across the Video Team, and contribute hands-on to editing a variety of videos for the platform.

Your key responsibilities:

• Assign post-production tasks to Video Editors and Junior Video Editors, manage the edit schedule, set deadlines, and sign off on edits that meet our high standards. Guide, mentor, and develop team members in editing skills and post-production workflows.

• Manage key deliverables from organising footage on Dropbox to ensuring projects are live on the platform.

• Manage a diverse range of video content, ensuring stakeholder input is considered while maintaining high editorial and production standards.

• Review videos and provide constructive feedback to develop editors and maintain quality.

• Ensure videos are on the platform and meet a high standard of quality.

This role will:

• Lead on the development and implementation of an Outreach Strategy that inspires people and organisations, including policy makers, to take action for bumblebees. (Aim 2 of the Trust’s strategy)

The Role

Having launched our Youth Adventure Programmes in Somerset in 2024, we are now looking for somebody who wants to take the next step in their fundraising career to build on the foundations of the last two years and significantly increase our presence in the county. 

As our Regional Corporate Fundraiser,  you'll be the driving force behind our local business partnerships, working with both large companies operating in the region and smaller local businesses looking to support their communities. 

Your role will encompass:

• Relationship building: Identifying and securing new corporate partnerships while providing high-quality stewardship to our existing Somerset-based supporters.

• Community Engagement: Championing our work in Somerset by giving engaging talks to community groups and networking with local businesses.

• Event delivery: Playing a key role in delivering local fundraising challenge events, the bi-annual Somerset Adventure Dinner and developing new opportunities to unite the Somerset business community behind our mission.

At the Youth Adventure Trust, we use outdoor adventure to empower vulnerable young people from Swindon, Wiltshire and Somerset to fulfil their potential and lead positive lives in the future. We work with them to build resilience, develop confidence and learn skills that will last a lifetime, helping them to face the challenges in their lives. Dedicated support, guidance and mentoring from our staff and volunteers ensures young people receive the maximum benefit from our long-term intervention. The Woodland Trust is looking for an Engaging Communities Officer to join our exciting Sherwood’s Living Legends project funded by The National Lottery Heritage Fund. A development grant has been awarded by Heritage Fund to help the Woodland Trust progress the project over 18-months to apply for a 5-year delivery stage grant. If this application is successful, the project will safeguard the future of ancient and veteran trees in Sherwood Forest and reconnect communities with this iconic landscape. This is a fixed term contract for 18-months, with the potential for an extension. 

The Role: 

• Lead the community-focused development of Sherwood’s Living Legends, shaping how people connect with the cultural, historical and ecological significance of ancient and veteran trees. 
• Co-create imaginative engagement approaches with consultants, using storytelling, heritage and local myth to inspire urban and rural communities. 
• Define target audiences and craft compelling key messages that will underpin the project’s delivery-stage communications. 
• Promote the project across the Sherwood NCA through social media, local press, PR events and creative outreach activity.
