Job summary:
As our Philanthropy Manager, you'll lead our trusts and foundations fundraising while building meaningful relationships with major donors who share our vision. Interim Fundraising Officer

1. Substantial hands-on experience managing multi-donor grants across the full lifecycle, from start-up to close-out with a diverse donor community (governments/multilaterals, trusts and foundations, and private donors), including restricted awards.

The Exempt Accommodation Support Service is based at our main hub in Digbeth but provides outreach support across the city. We are looking for project workers to provide flexible, person-centred support to people aged 25 years plus who are precariously accommodated, have a history of homelessness or who are at risk of becoming homeless. The aims of this service are to provide additional support to improve access and sustainment of suitable accommodation for people engaging in structured drug and alcohol treatment, to reduce the scale of unmet housing need for this group of clients and to build evidence of housing-related need and effective interventions. The service will provide a range of practical support around finances, health and wellbeing, access to volunteering or training opportunities and integration into local communities as well as supporting continued engagement with treatment and tenancy sustainment.
This is a part office-based, part community-based role with a requirement to travel to accommodation providers and outreach sites. Travel expenses will be paid for any journeys undertaken.
Key tasks (selection of):
1. Provide a person-centred service to individuals, taking a psychologically informed approach, advising and supporting to ensure that clients are given choice and control about how their support is delivered.
2. Assist with practical support such as travel issues, settling into accommodation and addressing any immediate accommodation issues.
3. Ensure individuals have access to key services, including health care, substance misuse, and wellbeing services.
4. Manage an active caseload of clients, keeping effective and up to date records and monitoring outcomes through our CRM database system.
5. To support with timely reporting information regarding visits, support plans and session notes.

We are looking for a Company Partnership Fundraiser to support the delivery of our ambitious fundraising strategy by growing income from companies and organisations across the UK, developing strong partnerships and delivering engaging fundraising opportunities that inspire support for Myeloma UK.
You will have experience of working in a charity or customer focused environment and be able to demonstrate success in building effective relationships with excellent relationship management skills. Being able to manage a wide range of tasks, work well under pressure together with a commitment and desire to make a difference is essential for this role.
The post holder will have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills with the ability to be flexible with your workload and prioritise effectively. Experience in fundraising, partnerships, or business development (ideally with corporate audiences) and using Raiser’s Edge or similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential.
About the role
The Company Partnership Fundraiser willgrow income from companies and organisations across the UK The role will focus primarily on employee-led fundraising and local business support, developing relationships that arise from personal connections to myeloma and growing these into long-term sources of income and engagement. They will build on local company opportunities often identified by the Community Fundraisers and promote Myeloma UK’s exciting range of events to encourage participation and support, as well as proactively identify new opportunities for company support.
You will work with Fundraising colleagues, collaboratively identifying wider fundraising opportunities such as community events, major donor, and legacy leads which can then be developed further by the relevant fundraising specialist in the team. The role will require travel throughout the UK to maximise engagement opportunities with supporters and income generation. As well as quarterly team meetings and other opportunities to network with Myeloma UK colleagues.
The post holder will provide the highest quality of stewardship and supporter journey to maximise engagement, retention and build a sustainable pipeline of support as well as representing Myeloma UK at meetings, events, and networking opportunities to build awareness and generate support,
