We are excited to be recruiting a School Partnerships Manager to join the School Partnerships Team. Your job will be to lead a team of School Partnerships Officers, each responsible for building partnerships in different regional patches. You will also work closely with the Director of School Partnerships and Communications on the timely delivery of our sales and marketing strategy and collaborate with teams across the organisation to ensure that tutor supply, school demand and programme delivery are joined up. Position Summary

Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) is seeking to appoint a Membership Information Management Officer who will play a key role in the delivery of the Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) 2025-2030 Strategic Framework and membership programme, supporting member engagement, data and information management, and utilisation of the BGCI global information systems. Solace is embarking on a new five-year fundraising strategy, with ambitious plans to double fundraised income to £3m by 2031. Fundraising at Solace works closely with colleagues responsible for winning and managing statutory funding contracts, and is situated within the Business Development Directorate, alongside our award-winning Communications, Partnerships & Public Affairs teams. We are looking for a Later Living Community Manager to provide high-quality management to one of our Later Living communities. You will support residents to maintain their independence, resolve repairs and maintenance issues, and ensure safety and security across the premises. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and external partners. Our Later Living communities provide homes and services to residents generally over 55 years of age who benefit from additional support and security.

What you’ll do

As a Later Living Community Manager, you will be the key point of contact for residents, providing practical assistance and managing their expectations. You will assess residents’ needs, signpost to specialist services, and identify safeguarding concerns where necessary. You will oversee tenancy sign-ups, support new residents, and maintain accurate case management records. The role involves monitoring repairs and maintenance, supervising contractors, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, including fire safety. You will also foster a sense of community by organising activities that promote wellbeing and engagement, while line-managing a Domestic Assistant/Premises Assistant to maintain high standards of cleanliness. Covering other communities when required and attending training will also form part of your responsibilities.

• Experience supporting vulnerable adults and knowledge of health and social care issues in a residential setting
• Experience conducting risk assessments and managing housing-related tasks, including reporting repairs and health and safety

Job purpose

· Forward-plan funding streams to ensure a smooth and regular flow of income that meets The Avenues’ budget (currently £1.2m p.a., much of which has been secured for the next 18 months).

· Develop existing and new relationships with funders to maximise immediate and long-term income for the organisation and its various projects.

· Write compelling proposals and applications that secure significant income from trusts and foundations, coordinating input from across The Avenues team.

· Research and identify new prospects from a diversity of sources with a view to securing medium and large grants for The Avenues.

Accountabilities and responsibilities

·  Identify and develop opportunities from a range of trusts, foundations and grant-making bodies.

· Draft, submit and manage the progress of all funding applications for The Avenues’ priority projects (approximately 30-40 applications per year).

· Develop fundraising proposal budgets in collaboration with Programme and Finance colleagues, ensuring needs are accurately costed and aligned with donor requirements.

· Work with colleagues to develop new project ideas that fit within The Avenues’ organisational goals and within budgets that meet funders’ criteria.

·  Handle the post-grant paperwork, notifying the team and updating our records.

· Develop and manage positive relationships with funders, including necessary communications with grants officers, potential major donors, corporate donors and community supporters.

· Manage the pipeline of applications and fundraising database; providing financial reporting and other management information to colleagues on a timely basis.

· Work with the Chief Executive, trustees and community volunteers to help organise our fundraising events (dinner-auction, party, quiz night, marathon). Assisting with the smooth-running of these events, including writing and producing communication materials.

·  Write the quarterly email newsletter for our supporter mailing list.

· Manage and optimise the charity’s CRM system (Beacon), ensuring fundraising contact data is accurate, well maintained, and used effectively.

· Perform other duties as required by the Chief Executive to the overall direction and running of the charity and develop productive relationships with external stakeholders.

Experience and skills

·  Excellent writing skills with the ability to write concise and creative bids.

· 3+ years’ proven track record in a fundraising position, with a focus on trusts/foundations and public sector income streams.  (Or, you may equally have experience in sales and marketing in a commercial environment.)

·  Skilled at budgeting and presenting financial information in easy-to-understand formats.

Operating as a blended role across the Membership and Marketing and Communications teams, this role will support the day-to-day membership and digital communication functions of the NI.

This role is responsible for membership administration and digital communications including processing and onboarding new members to managing ongoing renewals and maintaining the membership database, managing the delivery of Lunch & Learn sessions, Drop-In sessions and a range of themed technical and non-technical webinars, supporting HQ conferences and managing digital communications, member feedback and related marketing activity that underpins effective member engagement.

This role is critical in ensuring that members receive excellent customer service, timely communication, and accurate information about the institute’s services and benefits to support the organisation’s mission to engage and retain members, ensuring they receive value from their membership and are satisfied with their experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational, attention to detail, digital and communications skills with proficiency in database management and who enjoys building connections, creating engaging content, turning feedback into action.

Key Responsibilities:

Membership Administration

· Support the renewals process to ensure prompt collection of membership subscriptions including conducting follow-up campaigns to minimise lapsers. 

· Manage correspondence related to the onboarding process including preparing and sending membership welcome emails, and other communications as appropriate.

· Manage the Membership inbox responding to queries and assigning emails to colleagues or others as necessary.

· Support with the administration of Organisational Members including processing new members, issuing invoices and any other tasks as required.

· Assist with the development and implementation of new membership strategies.

· Other tasks to support the Membership and Business Development Director and Membership Manager as necessary.

Member Engagement and Digital Events

· Coordinate and deliver a structured programme of online events, including:

- Lunch & Learn sessions

- Drop-in member forums

- Themed webinar series covering both technical and non-technical topics

· Manage all webinar logistics, including registration, hosting, and post-event communications.

· Work closely with the Communities Officer and regional branches to promote local and regional events.

· Gather and analyse event feedback and attendance data to evaluate engagement levels and member satisfaction.

Digital Marketing & Communications

· Plan and deliver targeted marketing campaigns to promote membership activities, including a monthly member-focused email highlighting benefits such as mentoring, e-learning, and events.

· Create engaging and relevant content for the NI website, newsletters, and social media channels (e.g. LinkedIn).

· Develop promotional materials and manage a central events calendar to ensure consistent and timely communications.

· Monitor the Communications inbox responding to requests and assigning emails to colleagues or others as necessary

· Collaborate with the Membership and Business Development Director and Marketing and Communications Manager to assist with any other membership recruitment initiatives and campaigns as required.

Data Management & Reporting

• Maintain and regularly cleanse the membership database to ensure all records are accurate and up to date relating to membership and marketing.
• Generate and manage Nuclear Future mailing lists as required.
• Produce analytical reports on membership growth, retention, and engagement.
• Collect, analyse, and present member feedback from surveys and event participation.
• Deliver quarterly reports highlighting engagement trends and insights.
• Apply both quantitative and qualitative data to inform and shape future engagement strategies.
• Ensure full compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR).

Customer Service

· Serve as a point of contact for current and potential members, answering enquiries via phone, email, and online.

· Provide information about membership benefits, policies, and procedures.

· Resolve membership-related issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

General

· Liaise with suppliers and partners where needed to deliver promotional or event materials.

· Support other NI operational activities as required.

Experience and Skills

Essential Experience

· 2–3 years’ experience in membership administration, customer service, event co-ordination or marketing or a similar administrative role, ideally within a non-profit, association, or professional membership organisation.

· Proficient in using CRM or membership management systems, including database management, reporting.

· Experience in administering membership or customer renewals processes.

· Ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a professional environment.

· Ability to write compelling promotional copy.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience using digital engagement and event tools such as Eventbrite, Cvent, Mailchimp, LinkedIn, and Microsoft Teams.

· Confident in handling data, analysing information, and producing clear, accurate reports.

Desirable Experience

• Experience in developing and delivering membership recruitment initiatives and campaigns.
• Experience in analysing member feedback and engagement data.
• Experience working with digital design tools such as Canva.
• Experience working with and supporting volunteer networks or regional teams.

Skills

In this role, you will provide vital information, advice and practical support to older people, their carers and families, helping them to navigate challenges around welfare benefits, housing, care and other key areas of later life.

You will work directly with clients through appointments, telephone and email, as well as taking part in outreach and occasional home visits.
