You will provide advice and guidance to colleagues around safeguarding, risk and case complexity, ensuring the service prioritises the safety, dignity and individual needs of families. Partnership working will be central to this role. You will work closely with Birmingham Children's Trust, Family Hubs, Early Help, education, health, community organisations and other statutory and voluntary sector partners to strengthen referral pathways, promote access to support and improve coordinated responses for families affected by domestic abuse. Job Purpose: To lead the Oasis Community Housing Domestic Abuse Team in Gateshead; providing accessible, community-based, trauma-informed support for women and girls aged 16 and over experiencing domestic abuse. The service operates from a women’s only space, and provides both one to one and group support interventions, including peer support. The Project Team Leader will hold responsibility for line management of the Service Team, for Safeguarding, Health and Safety, the delivery of holistic support provision to those in receipt of the support service, and monitoring and oversight of the provision. To lead the team in effective and close partnership working with funders and relevant partners and to provide leadership within the service, in line with organisational ethos and values.

Duties & Responsibilities:
• To oversee the day to day running of the service, ensuring delivery is at all times in line with the organisational ethos, values, policies and procedures, and the service focuses on the key themes of; Safety and Advocacy, Education and Recovery, Community and Connection.
• To supervise and manage the service staff team, being the first port of call for any staffing issues, including performance appraisals.
• To participate in the recruitment and selection of new service staff.
• To monitor day to day expenditure against the service budget as guided by the budget and Head of Young Person’s Accommodation and Domestic Abuse Service.
• To oversee the holistic (mental, physical, emotional, spiritual) support provision to those being supported across the service, ensuring it is in accordance with the ethos and values of Oasis Community Housing, and ensuring that support provision is personalised to individual needs and all participants have regularly reviewed safety and support plans.
• To engage in multi-disciplinary team (MDT) approaches to support women and their families, including representing women and Oasis Community Housing at MARACs; attending meetings, representing and supporting the views of women being supported, and effectively sharing information with other professionals and partner agencies.
• To oversee the referral process from Gateshead DAT and the Northumbria Victims and Witness Service; ensuring contact is made in accordance with service standards, and appropriate DASH RIC assessments are completed.
• To ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to in your practices, and the practices of the team, and that concerns are reported appropriately and expediently, both internally, and externally, as needed.
• To hold responsibility for implementing Safeguarding policies and procedures across the service; making day to day safeguarding referrals, on-going case management, and reporting, in conjunction with the relevant Safeguarding Leads.
• To maintain records needed to ensure excellent and consistent support provision, and support the staff team to meet those same standards; maintaining comprehensive case files, using our Inform data system, completing reports (both internal and external) and assisting in the measurement of outcomes.
• To be accountable to senior management for project performance, providing regular reports including performance reports and management reports.
• To support the active participation of those being supported in project design, delivery and evaluation; encouraging involvement, and assisting in recording access and engagement; ensuring all participants have the opportunity to engage in social activities and peer support.

As part of the Safe Horizons London Partnership, funded by MOPAC and led by Victim Support, we deliver specialist advocacy and support for women from Latin American communities across London.

About the role

Newham Domestic and Sexual Violence Support Service is a community based integrated service providing support to individuals who have experienced domestic and/ or sexual violence including Domestic Abuse, Sexual Violence, Forced Marriage, Honour Based Violence, Female Genital Mutilation and Sex Workers. The services are being provided in a variety of ways including through Casework, IDSVA, and MARAC. We will be working closely with key partner agencies within the Newham Borough to provide holistic support to all individuals who have or are experiencing domestic and/ or sexual violence and to improve awareness within the community of domestic and sexual violence and the support that is available for victims.
In this vital role, you will manage incoming referrals, liaise with partner agencies, provide compassionate short‑term support via our phone line, and ensure accurate case management across our systems. You'll also deliver domestic abuse awareness workshops, develop culturally sensitive resources, and build strong relationships with local community organisations to improve early intervention pathways. Working closely with colleagues, you'll help ensure every client receives a safe, respectful, and effective service, while upholding Hestia's values, confidentiality standards, and commitment to inclusive practice.
This is a hybrid role, with two days working from home, one day based in a co‑working location in Newham, and two days spent delivering community‑based work across Newham.
What do I need to bring with me?
You'll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires as well as match our values and mission. We are looking for a motivated, proactive and compassionate Domestic Abuse Caseworker to support victims of crime.
The service provides support across the whole geography of Avon & Somerset. This role involves making initial contact with victims of domestic abuse and other crimes, providing support in a dynamic and ever-changing environment. The role is full-time and is hybrid between Bridewell Police Station in central Bristol and home working. A suitable and confidential workspace at home is therefore required. Whilst in training and awaiting police vetting the successful candidate will be required to work their office days at the Vassall Centre (Fishponds, Bristol). There will also be a requirement to occasionally work from the Vassall Centre once vetting has cleared.

A successful Support Worker will need a good understanding of domestic abuse and the impact on children and families (or an interest in working in this field), with experience of delivering groupwork programmes for vulnerable parents and/or children.

About the role
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention of volunteers across Woman's Trust.
Working closely with managers across the organisation, the postholder will oversee the end-to-end volunteer journey, ensuring volunteers receive a positive, inclusive and well-supported experience from application through to departure.
