The Role
This position will support the Education, Workforce and HE team in its mission to build a thriving, diverse physics teaching community and will see you support the operational delivery of the Scholarships Programme, including the recruitment, assessment and selection of Scholars, and the two-year support programme.
What will I be doing?
Working with the Manager, Strategic Implementation, the focus will be on leading on the operational delivery of the IOP Teacher Training Scholarships. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing support to the Manager, Strategic Implementation in relation to the Scholarships budget, including creating budget forecasts and quarterly invoices.
- Working with our internal Marketing Department to shape the marketing programme and evaluating the effectiveness of our various advertising channels – including our webinar series.
- To manage applications, including setting up and maintaining the online application form, screening ineligible candidates, obtaining references from referees, collating applications for the shortlisting process and assessment panels.
- Data management and storage, including providing data and analysis to facilitate monthly/quarterly reporting and invoicing to the DfE, ensuring candidate and Scholar data is captured, maintained and deleted according to the IOP policy guidelines, supporting the tracking of scholars through their initial training and into teaching. Including, supervising the consultant in charge of the data capture of the status and wellbeing of Scholars.
Who will I work with?
You will be line managed by the Manager, Strategic Implementation and support the Manager, Teaching Workforce in the delivery of their projects.

Essential Criteria
- Experience of working in a project-based environment with significant internal and external stakeholder interest. Note that formal project management qualifications are not a requirement.
- Sustained and confident working knowledge of MS Excel and handling data
- Skilled in the administration and PM of multiple projects and ensuring quality assurance through evaluation, reporting and monitoring processes and documentation.
Nice to have
- This role does not require physics subject knowledge or teaching experience, but these would be an advantage.
- Website maintenance experience
- Experience using customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce.

Location & Working Arrangements

The position is primarily home-based (remote), with attendance required at in-person events throughout the UK.

Role Summary
We're looking for a Press and Media Manager to help us tell the story of our work and grow our profile across local, regional, and national media. This is a press-led role, with the majority of time focused on proactive and reactive media work, alongside supporting wider marketing activity where it strengthens campaigns and storytelling.
You'll own and drive our day-to-day media presence, ensuring communications activity directly supports our core goal: increasing the number and diversity of employers offering work experience across the UK.
You'll take the lead on media work - pitching stories, building journalist relationships, drafting press releases, and developing thought leadership content including blogs, op-eds, and features. For major set-piece moments (around six per year), you'll work alongside an external PR agency to help secure national coverage. You’ll also work closely with, CEO Nick Brook, and will have the opportunity to work alongside founder Robert Peston and Chair Andrew Law at key moments.
An early and significant focus will be the launch of our inaugural State of Work Experience report in autumn 2026, a major annual publication designed to shape the national conversation on work experience, skills and opportunity.
This isn't about publicity for its own sake. Your work will be measured by how effectively it contributes to employer and partnership growth, amplifies the voices of young people we support, and positions Futures for All as a leader in the work experience and social mobility space.

Key Duties / Responsibilities
Press and Media
- Lead day-to-day media activity: identifying stories, writing press releases, pitching to journalists, and responding to media enquiries
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors, and bloggers across local, regional, trade, and national outlets
- Identify newsworthy angles and develop stories aligned to organisational priorities
- Create compelling press and thought leadership content, including blog posts, op-eds, case studies, and feature articles

We are looking for a Strength & Conditioning Coach to lead the programming and delivery of Strength & Conditioning for the TeamUCL High Performance Programme.
The role is a part time, averaging 14-18 hours per week. This role is based at our Bloomsbury campus with occasional delivery at the UCL East gym site, and across London for testing and pre-season.
Do you have experience in teaching advanced strength and conditioning techniques? Do you understand how best to programme for elite athletes? If the answer is yes, then we want to hear from you.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- A Level 3 qualification, or above, in Personal Training/Gym Instruction
- An understanding of the principles of periodisation of training schedules, incorporating all aspects of a strength and conditioning programme, including testing.
- Experience of working with elite athletes in a high performance environment

About the Role
This is not your typical management role.
We are looking for someone who enjoys bringing order to complexity, building trusted relationships and finding practical solutions to difficult challenges. Reporting to the Head of Faculties, you will lead the strategic and operational delivery of three of our six Faculties, working with world leading surgeons and healthcare professionals who generously volunteer their time to advance surgical education and, ultimately, improve patient care across the world.

The Learning & Development Officer is responsible for working closely with the Director of People & Organisational Development in supporting the design, delivery and development of the education and training across the hospice group.
They will coordinate and organise all in house and external training programmes, maintain accurate records, monitor compliance and support a learning culture across St Giles. Key working relationships: The post holder will work with all the Trustees (but particularly the Trustee responsible for Communications), the Programmes Manager as well as the Trust’s finance service provider. The post holder will develop good working relationships with other stakeholders including our project delivery partners, members of the Youth Board and, in some cases, young people on or applying for our programmes.

· Significant experience providing administrative support. Experience of working in a charity would be an advantage (E)
· Excellent digital skills, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly and instruct others (E)
· Proficiency in Microsoft 365 including administering a system(E)
· Experience of organising and maintaining records, both on paper and digitally. (E)
· Ability to produce attractive documents and reports for a range of audiences adhering to our house style (E)
· Ability to work effectively with all our stakeholders, including young people from disadvantaged backgrounds (E).
· An ability to gather, analyse and evaluate data and to prepare and present concise reports both orally and in writing
· Exceptional time and task management skills; calmness under pressure (E)
· Experience working in a pressured environment with lots of competing priorities (E)
Knowledge, qualifications
· Knowledge of good administrative practices (E)
