About the role
Reporting in to the Head of Impact, the Humanitarian Lead for the Latin America and Caribbean region will play a lead role in setting up new emergency programmes as well as managing existing emergency response programmes across Christian Aid programmes globally but with a primary focus on an agreed set of countries to maximise impact.
In the Latin America and Caribbean region, Christian Aid operates in Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Haiti.
The post-holder will will ensure Christian Aid’s people-centred humanitarian reform advocacy agenda is energetically communicated in relevant regional and country policy forums, so that the humanitarian sector regionally takes visible steps toward more people-centred and locally led humanitarian programming and aligns with organisational values and goals.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role of Humanitarian Lead are:
- Manage and collaborate on new and existing humanitarian and emergency response programmes internally and externally to maximise impact.
- Manage staff and ensure they perform to a high standard, meeting their objectives with activities integrated with the Country Teams, aligning with organisational values and goals.
- Active engagement in Country Leadership Teams ensuring Christian Aid’s humanitarian mandate is integrated within the wider country strategies in line with “Standing Together”.

Job purpose: The Trusts & Foundations Manager role will predominantly support the work of the Trusts Team in implementing the trusts strategy, to meet ambitious annual income targets for the charity, mainly focused on revenue funding. The role will also provide additional support to the Capital Appeal Director for our capital programme. The Trusts and Foundations Manager will research, write and submit bids to secure funding for the transformational work of Over The Wall Camp.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the Head of Trusts and Statutory Fundraising to implement a comprehensive trusts funding strategy to meet annual income targets
• Develop and submit trust applications to a range of different funders (current and prospective)

About the Charity:
Over The Wall Camp Children’s Charity has been providing transformational residential camps for seriously ill children and their families for 25 years, propelling forward the vision of the charity’s founder, Hollywood actor Paul Newman. As the charity grows, its current model of operation is no longer sufficient for its needs, and the organisation is now embarking on an exciting and ambitious campaign to redevelop a former boarding school in the Midlands, known as Ockbrook School. The acquisition of Ockbrook will enable the charity to significantly scale up its operation and support 3,000 beneficiaries per year, as well as provide the community with a state-of-the-art facility for wider use.

In this hands on role, you’ll lead the full lifecycle of the charity owned fundraising events, including planning, delivery, supporter acquisition, safety, budgeting, and post event analysis. As an Owned Events Lead you will:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of owned and virtual fundraising events, including logistics, health & safety, supplier coordination, supporter comms, and evaluation.
- Plan and deliver large scale in person events, managing everything from risk assessments to on the day execution.
- Develop and grow virtual campaigns using insight, behavioural science, and digital best practice.
- Collaborate with teams across innovation, digital, comms and supporter experience to ensure joined up, high performing events.
- Own event budgets, tracking ROI, reforecasting, and using data to inform decisions.
- Lead on supporter acquisition strategies, including paid digital advertising, grassroots promotion, and audience segmentation.

To be successful, you must have experience:
- Experience on leading the delivery of fundraising or public facing events, including virtual formats.

- Knowledge of digital marketing (PPC, paid social) and audience targeting.

Purpose of the job
The Green House’s VOICE change-making project aims to support young survivors and their family members to lead social change through creativity. Together, we aim to create national systemic change around child sexual abuse. Our approach recognises the inherent strengths and possibility of all young people. We develop creative spaces where young people can connect with their community, grow beyond traumatic experiences and learn to lead services like ours, alongside social change. We see creative change-making and connecting those with lived experience together as imperative to healing. It is the hope for change that helps young people and their families to learn to live a whole life alongside traumatic experiences and step into their potential.
The VOICE Project has two workstreams: Young People’s VOICE and Parent/Carer VOICE. We work with young people to deliver a creative arts leadership programme (6 weekly group), alongside creative drop-in spaces, individual projects and paid-for mentorship opportunities. We work with our Parent/Carer VOICE group to deliver monthly group sessions, parent-led drop-in spaces and individual projects. The VOICE Project also leads our national child sexual abuse (CSA) practitioner network.

This is a senior role and we’re looking for an experienced media manager with an excellent track record in media relations for high profile nature organisations, who can confidently deal with high-profile reactive media as well as developing and delivering evidence-based creative, innovative media strategies. You will be leading a small media team, so line management experience is essential to ensure the consistent delivery of high-profile, high-impact media activity, supervising the team’s research, writing and editing. Working alongside the Head of Media you will build an environment where your team can continuously develop to be their best and have space to innovate and find new channels to reach broader audiences with our messages. In particular, we are keen to do more to highlight the role of people power (community organising) in nature’s recovery.
You will have significant previous experience of generating compelling news stories and features, and ideally you will have been involved in publicising policy and campaigns.
