As Poppy Appeal Manager for London Poppy Day & Partnerships, you’ll take ownership of the planning and delivery of a large-scale, high-profile event that brings together volunteers, partners and supporters across the capital. You’ll be at the centre of it all turning plans into reality and ensuring the day runs seamlessly, while delivering a meaningful experience that drives both income and impact.

We’re looking for someone who is highly organised, detail-focused and confident managing complex projects with multiple moving parts. You’ll be comfortable overseeing logistics, suppliers, stock and stakeholder coordination, all while working to clear KPIs and timelines. Just as importantly, you’ll bring a commercial mindset using data and insight to evaluate success, identify improvements and maximise return. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and can stay calm under pressure, this role will play to your strengths.

You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site. This role also requires travel to our Aylesford, Kent warehouse. This will be counted as your working day in the office that week. Please be aware a full UK driving licence is required for this role.

The Senior Development Manager will be someone who thinks creatively, seizes opportunity and, with excellent inter-personal skills, brings experience, energy and drive to attract donors and prospects to the Charity’s exciting mission to innovate forms of engagement and increase access to arts and culture.
Specific Responsibilities
• Deliver against a 6-figure fundraising target, taking responsibility for a cohort of prospects, with a focus on trusts, foundations, public sector and corporate partners.
• Write compelling proposals/applications and reports for trusts and foundations, to engage supporters and demonstrate the impact of our work.
• Collaborate with colleagues, in particular the Director and Programme Heads, to source programme information, schedule meetings/calls with prospects, writing excellent briefing notes in advance.
• Adhere to best practice in prospect cultivation, solicitation and stewardship, and ensure the due diligence policies in place are followed.
• Deliver the highest level of donor care through excellent communication skills: building rapport with prospects and donors, and ensuring correspondence is appropriate and consistent.
• Set up and deliver cultivation events for prospects and donors that highlight the work of Art Explora and associated opportunities to support.
• Work closely with press/marketing to ensure messaging and brand identity is aligned.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
• 4+ years’ experience in donor-facing fundraising, with a focus on the arts/education sector.

• Demonstrable experience of working to and meeting challenging fundraising targets; proven ability to secure six-figures awards.
• Experience of independently managing a designated group of donors and prospects and moving those relationships forward to successful outcomes.
• An understanding of and commitment to excellent stewardship and donor care
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a developed ability to influence and inspire donors and prospects around a given cause or project.
• Confidence to drive forward relationships with donors and prospects, meeting independently and presenting proposals face-to-face and in writing.
• Flexibility to occasionally work outside of normal office hours and travel to various locations as required.
• A passion for the arts and an understanding of the arts education landscape.

About the role

Zoe’s Place is the only baby specific hospice charity in the UK, providing specialist palliative, respite and end of life care for children aged 0 to 5 with life limiting and life-threatening conditions. They offer a safe, nurturing and joyful environment where families can feel completely supported. With their dedicated nurses delivering 24-hour care, they work together to make every moment of childhood count.
About the role:
Supporting the delivery of Zoe’s Place overall income generation strategy, by researching, record keeping, applying and reporting to a portfolio of trusts and foundations to deliver long term sustainable income growth for the Trust. Overall accountability for capital projects across the Trust

About the role:
Imperial’s Natural Sciences and Trusts, Foundations & Corporates fundraising teams are seeking a motivated and highly organised Development Assistant to play a central role in supporting our communications, administration and data management. Your work will help strengthen relationships with donors and partners and contribute to successful fundraising outcomes across two dynamic teams.
This is a fast paced, target driven environment, so you’ll bring excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution focused approach. It’s an ideal opportunity for a talented administrator who is looking to build a career in higher education fundraising and who wishes to gain experience that will support progression in the field.
The MediaWorks at White City Place (Hybrid). Occasional travel to the Imperial South Kensington Campus will be required.

The Natural Sciences and Trusts, Foundations & Corporates fundraising teams sit within the Advancement Division, which secures significant philanthropic income each year to support strategic priorities. The Division also ensures donors are appropriately thanked, stewarded and reported to. Together, the teams raise funds from alumni, friends, trusts, foundations and corporate partners for initiatives such as scholarships, research and infrastructure.
Working closely with the Head of Development and the Deputy Director, you will provide critical support to help ensure their time is used effectively to maximise philanthropic income. In this varied role, you will support communications, data entry and analysis, diary and meeting management, and the coordination of processes that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly across the teams and wider division.

This is a full‑time post (35 hours per week). The role is hybrid, with an expectation of a minimum of two days per week on site, though occasional flexibility or additional on‑site days may be required. Our main office is based in White City; you may also be asked to attend the South Kensington campus from time to time.
First-round interviews are expected to take place in person during the week beginning 27 April. The interview will include a role related task.

The Advocacy and Influencing team are central to achieving the goals of the strategy by encouraging the UK Government and other UK-based stakeholders to use their power on the world stage to counter the rollback on women’s rights.
The Head of Advocacy and Influencing is a key organisational leadership role and will be part of the CIUK Extended Leadership Team working with other heads of team and the senior leadership team to help run the organisation effectively and deliver the 4-year strategy.
About you
You will have significant experience of advocacy and/or public affairs with a track record of driving strategies that achieve measurable policy, attitude or legislative change. You will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills in English, and the ability to translate complex issues into plain English. You will have experience of project management and preferably budget management, particularly team or donor-funded project management. You will be media trained and confident speaking to and influencing a range of external senior stakeholders.
In past roles, you will have line managed colleagues and may have managed teams, and will know how to work with others, including in coalition with other organisations, to design and deliver advocacy campaigns. You will understand how to motivate your team to deliver against an organizational strategy. Your leadership style will be aligned with CIUK’s feminist leadership principles and values. You will have strong understanding of, and preferably experience working on, international development issues, in particular with reference to gender equality.
About the role
The Head of Advocacy and Influencing is a leadership role with significant responsibility for external analysis and positioning for CIUK - including through regular updates to the board Impact and Transformation Committee. The role is responsible for providing strategic direction for CIUK and CI’s advocacy and influencing and leading the team to deliver UK and globally facing advocacy campaigns. The role is responsible for ensuring high quality publications and managing sign off and profile risks as part of CIUK’s risk management strategy. The Head of Advocacy and Influencing will also act as a senior external spokesperson for the organization to the media, parliament and public events. The role has significant responsibility for positioning and meeting expectations of donors who fund the team’s work. The Head of Advocacy and Influencing is critical for ensuring the CEO and SLT have up-to-date power analysis, political analysis and policy lines for external engagement with high level targets.
As the manager and contract holder for the Centenary Action Group campaign and fundraising coordinator and a standing member on the Steering board of the Centenary Action Group, the role also manages CARE UK’s role as a convener and ally of the UK women’s rights movement in line with our global commitment to shift the power and localization.
The role covers four main areas of responsibility:
Strategic Leadership & Delivery
Play a key role in the delivery of CIUK’s new 4-year strategy. Lead cross-organisational teams to deliver high quality policy analysis, advocacy and campaign strategies to UK government, parliamentary and private sector targets. Work with communications to design and deliver integrated campaign plans.
External representation and relationship management
Build the visibility and reputation of CIUK by building and managing key external relationships in government, parliament, private sector and across the sector, including in coalitions and alliances. Provide strategic advice on political developments, external opportunities, and risks, ensuring timely and well-informed positioning, and prepare the CEO/SLT for high-level external engagements. Serve as a senior spokesperson for CIUK in political, media, and public forums. Work with the CARE confederation to develop advocacy lines and approaches.
Thought leadership and Policy Development
Provide strategic leadership of the Gates Foundation partnership, delivering against expectations and securing further funding from this and other donors. Ensure a rigorous evidence base for CIUK’s policy agenda, both by working with CIUK’s team of thematic experts, as well as commissioning and managing research projects where needed. Prepare and approve briefings, position papers, op-eds and other communications in support of CARE UK’s influencing goals. Oversee CIUK’s strategic role in Centenary Action, including representation on the Steering Group and overall coordination.
Team and line management
Set and drive the advocacy and influencing team’s annual plans and contribution to the organisation’s strategic priorities. Be accountable to delivering on team KPIs and organisational KPIs that link to the team’s work, and for managing the team’s budget. Play a key role in the leadership of the Programme and Policy department. Provide strong line management to direct reports and demonstrate a strong personal commitment to CIUK’s equity, diversity and inclusion goals and feminist leadership principles.
