About the Nightlight Crisis Service

Hertfordshire Mind Network (HMN) has been delivering Nightlight, part of Hertfordshire’s crisis alternatives pathway, for the last 8 years. We are proud to provide urgent support, crisis intervention and emotional support to people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire as an alternative to statutory pathways. We provide support to adults across Hertfordshire 7 days a week, 365 days a year through our Helpline, Crisis Cafes and 24/7 Crisis House.

We aim to provide a safe space for people in crisis to talk and feel supported, be listened to without judgement, access relevant support with problem solving and facilitate access to external services when necessary.

As a senior member of our diverse team, you will work closely with service users in crisis by using a person-centred approach to ensure that each individual is supported with dignity and respect. By honouring the individual experience of each service user, we are able to respect their autonomy as well as encourage and facilitate positive steps towards management of crisis and recovery.

About the Role

As a member of the HMN Senior Management Team (SMT) and the Service Manager for our Crisis provision across Hertfordshire (Nightlight), you will be leading the total provision of our 24/7 365 week Crisis House, Daylight, Helpline and Crisis Cafés. You will also oversee our A&E Liaison Project, supporting staff operating in A&E to divert individuals into community crisis provision.

You will ensure the provision is safe, effective and person centered; be accountable for achieving KPI’s, data reporting to Commissioners and the wider SMT & CEO, and develop the service using evidence based data, strategic thought & planning.

The objectives of HMN’s Nightlight Crisis provision is:

• To improve the mental and emotional wellbeing of people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire.
• To provide 24/7 365 support for individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
• To increase early access to help for people experiencing a mental health crisis in Hertfordshire, by providing a clear and effective pathway to other services provided by HMN and other third sector and statutory providers.
• To remain a source of independent support for all service users.
• To provide an alternative pathway to people in distress and crisis to support better outcomes and reduce the demand on statutory crisis services and emergency services.

We offer:

• Annual leave entitlement of 25 days per year pro rata, rising in increments to a max. of 29 days after 5 years employment (plus 8 days Bank Holidays)

The Brent Centre for Young People 

The Brent Centre for Young People (BCYP) is the leading mental health charity for young people in Northwest London, helping over 800 young people a year with a wide range of issues. We offer specialised treatment in the areas of depression, suicide prevention, self-harm, eating disorders, exam anxiety and more. Our approach is rooted in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The Role

As HR Officer, you will play a role in bringing structure, consistency and clarity to Brent Centre’s HR processes. You will deliver practical, people-focused support across the employee lifecycle, from recruitment, onboarding to contract changes, developing and updating organisational policies, helping to strengthen and develop how HR supports colleagues across the organisation.

Working closely with the Administration and Finance Manager, you will act as the first point of contact for day-to-day HR queries, ensuring they are handled promptly, accurately and in line with Brent Centre’s values. About the role 

The Faith and Communities Engagement Officer role is designed to enhance and strengthen the infrastructure of homelessness services across Westminster by mobilising and supporting faith and community-based initiatives and groups. The intention is to facilitate effective partnerships with statutory and voluntary sector services and promote sustainable, community-led responses to homelessness and rough sleeping. 

Key responsibilities will include engagement and partnership development, capacity building and support, infrastructure and sustainability and advocacy. Are you an experienced acupuncture practitioner interested in joining the BAcC staff team in a key role that will help protect both practising acupuncturists and the public?

The Professional Standards Education Officer (PSEO) will be at the forefront of supporting BAcC members to work safely and manage the risks of their practice. You will also have a great positive impact on public protection and fostering trust across UK and global institutions in the practice of acupuncture.

This will be a varied role, involving all stages of developing and updating policy and communicating it to the membership. You will work as part of our wonderful team, alongside our Safe Practice Officer, Research and Policy Manager, and our Professional Conduct Officers. You will also act as a link with the BAcC’s insurer in-house risk and legal support and connect to professionals across other UK healthcare regulators.

As the Secretary to the Education Committee, you will support the BAcC’s newly integrated education and accreditation function and assist the Chair and committee in guiding the future of acupuncture accreditation in the UK.

It is anticipated that your time will be split approximately two days per week in the risk management and safe practice support role, and one day per week in the education support role. These two functions have great synergy; you will facilitate the key connection between the BAcC and college accreditation by transmitting risk mitigation strategies and taking college feedback on new risks to update policy.

The work will be varied and interesting and, most importantly, you will be able to make a huge and tangible difference to the community. The Role

What will I be doing?

You’ll be responsible for a range of activities, including:

• Managing the relationship with our maintenance provider to ensure our building is in good repair and being maintained as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
• Supervising work that is happening onsite to understand the cause and solution as well as making sure that it is conducted safely.
• Maintaining a safe and healthy workplace through regular inspections, keeping all spaces safe, reviewing RAMS, and enforcing our permit-to-work system.

• Working with the Senior Workplace Officer to move furniture safely and working together around dates for work that balance the need of resolution and cause the least amount of disruption.

Who will I work with?

Essential:

As an organization we meet in person once a quarter at our Head Office in Kings Cross, London.

Youth Delivery Mentoring Officer

We are looking for a skilled, committed, and passionate individual with experience within the youth work sector (this could be in a voluntary capacity). Whilst developing our focus around youth engagement and early intervention techniques, we recognise the importance of having individuals who really want to make a difference in the lives of young people. The successful applicant will understand our values, ethos and principles as an organisation and will demonstrate a strong desire to contribute to and deliver meaningful and effective youth work. 

Main Purpose of this Role

This is an exciting role at Reaching Higher and demonstrates our uncompromising commitment to playing our part to positive impact the lives of young people and their families. This role has been designed to lead on the delivery of our work and play a central role in creating meaningful experiences for young people via school and community-based youth projects.The purpose of this role is help ensure high-quality support for young people across our various programmes, in line with our mentoring ethos, helping to build an even stronger rapport with those we currently serve and improving accessibility for new young people being referred to us. 

About Reaching Higher 

Reaching Higher is a youth organisation which works with almost 2000 young people aged 10 - 18 each year across Croydon and surrounding boroughs. Developed in partnership with local churches, we are a youth-led charity with a Christian ethos.We place particular emphasis on providing mentoring support to young people and facilitating their development as leaders. We have established strong links with key local, London and UK-wide organisations and our approach leads us into regular working contact with partner schools, community groups and churches. 

We are seeking an experienced and committed Youth Work Programme Manager to join The Kite Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop impactful programmes that support and empower LGBTQ+ young people. The successful candidate will provide strategic oversight of our youth work provision, manage and support a dedicated team, and work collaboratively with partners to ensure our services remain inclusive, responsive, and effective. This is a remote position but will require travel across Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and the surrounding areas.

Contract Type: This is a full-time permanent position, working 32 hours within a 4-day working week. We are happy to discuss and explore flexible options and job share opportunities.

Salary: £34,936 – £40,311 depending on experience.
