This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to support them following a stroke.
Position: 000009 Stroke Association Support Coordinator
Location: Home-based – Crewe, Cheshire. However, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week
Salary: Circa £17,000 per annum (FTE circa £28,300 per annum)

The Role
Reporting to the Service Delivery Coach, you will have the ability to support stroke survivors to identify their goals. Using strong assessment skills and a person-centred approach enabling them to maximise their recovery and improve communication.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Supporting new stroke survivors and their carers from hospital discharge into the community.
· Provide personalised information, advice and support.
· Supporting stroke survivors to make informed lifestyle changes which will help them to prevent further strokes.
· Work collaboratively with NHS colleagues and other areas of the community to make a difference in the lives of people affected by stroke.
About You
You will have experience in:
· Experience/background in a caring profession, ideally supporting people with disabilities
· Excellent IT skills and an ability to maintain accurate records.
· An affinity with the values of the Stroke Association.
· A flexible approach and an ability to effectively manage a caseload.
This role requires extensive travel across a large geographical locality to visit people at home and in community settings. Candidates must be able to demonstrate how they can meet this requirement of the role

In the 1980s, high unemployment and steep inflation was contributing to a shocking rise in youth homelessness across London. Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. Appalled by the scenes playing out across the capital, a group of people came together to tackle the challenge head on. Led by Cardinal Basil Hume and Mark McGreevy OBE, in 1989 Depaul UK was born.

About the role
You will support local authority and voluntary sector housing and homelessness teams in developing efficient, quality and successful services and implementing outcome focused training and best practice.
You will lead on the design and implementation of learning needs analysis and activities, to build understanding of challenges, areas for improvement and building capacity through targeted learning to empower frontline staff. You will also build collaborative capacity and partnership working, and coordinate and support professional guidance, sharing and demonstrating best practice tools and approaches for housing and homelessness professionals.
Project management will play a vital part in your role, with you ensuring the effective delivery of the London Plus delivery plan, objectives and outputs within timescale and budget, plus you will develop and manage monitoring approaches or systems to demonstrate impact. About you
You will have experience of working with people who are facing severe and multiple disadvantage and of working on developmental projects within a voluntary or local authority setting, plus a sound knowledge of relevant external agencies, resources and networks across London and policies and approaches to supporting homeless people. You will also have a proven record of working across organisations, sharing ideas and skills and of multi-agency working and collaborative projects. A natural communicator, both verbal and written, you will have strong data collation and analysis skills and impressive interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, while a collaborative, flexible, and proactive approach to your work is vital.

Hestia's Age Activity Centre (AAC) is a lively, open‑access day centre supporting Wandsworth residents aged 60 and over to stay active, independent and socially connected. The service offers a wide range of activities including IT classes, wellbeing sessions, social events and occasional day trips, all designed to reduce isolation, promote community, and help older people maintain their health and independence for as long as possible. Alongside this, the AAC plays a key role in fostering friendships, building confidence and creating a welcoming space where older people can thrive.
This role supports both the AAC and the Hestia Recovery Café, contributing to the smooth running of daily learning and development activities. It involves leading and overseeing adult learning classes, supporting volunteer and pool worker recruitment, and managing essential resources and administrative tasks. The postholder will help ensure high‑quality, engaging sessions while maintaining an organised, inclusive environment that empowers older people and enhances their overall wellbeing.
The hours are 9am - 5.18pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and 12pm - 8.18pm on Thursday.

You have experience supporting people with mental health needs and complex circumstances, as well as working with older adults, senior adults or other vulnerable groups. You are confident facilitating learning and development activities, group work or support groups, and you are able to engage with individuals who may display a range of emotions or behaviours that can sometimes feel challenging.
You communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, and you can accurately receive, process and record detailed information while maintaining confidentiality. You are IT‑literate, comfortable using Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems or apps. You bring strong time‑management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You liaise confidently with colleagues and external partners, represent Hestia positively, take a solution‑focused approach to problem‑solving, and can identify and report any health and safety concerns within a day‑centre environment.

Oasis Nurture is a project that is carried out on the Village. It is a therapeutic intervention designed specifically for those children who might be described as the missing middle – those who do not meet the threshold for an ECHP but who nevertheless struggle to engage with the curriculum for a variety of reasons.
Oasis Nurture is just completing its pilot phase, working with four local schools, offering a two day a week intervention to a small group of children.
As the Clinical Lead, you will ensure the highest standards of therapeutic care, support a team of dedicated practitioners and teachers and collaborate with schools, social services, and mental health agencies to create a wraparound support system for children.

Introduction
THINK EQUAL is a global education initiative with a mission to ensure that Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) becomes a mandatory subject for all children in early years settings globally. SEL is the process through which knowledge, attitudes, values and skills such as emotional intelligence, empathy, self-awareness, self-regulation, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making are developed.
SEL helps young people to:
build and maintain psychological resources;
know themselves and their emotions and to engage in positive relationships;
make good decisions, behave ethically and responsibly;
learn self-regulation and avoid negative behaviours;
undo gender stereotypes and be gender equal;
have self-worth, confidence and the right to voice and agency; and
transition into ambitious and empowered young adults.
To support educators and governments to achieve this mission, THINK EQUAL has developed a global SEL Programme for 3-6 years-olds. The Programme is constructed around narrative children’s books, lesson plans and teaching resources which provide the concrete tools educators need to teach SEL in a low-cost and adaptable format.

Purpose of the Role
Working at the forefront of Think Equal’s mission to bring the ‘missing subject’ to the hearts and minds of children in the UK, the role of the UK Programmes Officer primary focus would be to ensure the successful delivery of the Think Equal programme across early years classrooms in the UK. Programme support
Support and coordinate the delivery of the Think Equal programme across UK projects. This includes:

Enrol new practitioners into the Think Equal training platform as they sign up to the programme.
Provide general administrative and research support to the Programmes Coordinator and other staff, representing the organisation as the first point of contact and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner.
