About you  

This is a brand‑new role and an incredibly exciting time to join the team at PDSA. You’ll take the lead in developing a high‑impact prospect research function that underpins a strong pipeline of high‑value donors, trusts, and corporate partners.

In this role, you’ll deliver the insight, analysis, and intelligence that drive income generation, strengthen donor relationships, and shape fundraising strategy—ultimately helping us keep people and pets together when times are tough.

You’ll bring hands‑on experience in building prospect research pipelines, understanding donor behaviour, and using a wide range of tools to identify opportunities. You’re confident working with data, supporting major donor fundraising, and managing due diligence. You’ll also be comfortable navigating CRM systems and research platforms, and skilled at producing clear, actionable reports and briefings that help teams make informed decisions.

Please note that occasional travel will be required to our Head Office in Telford and to our Pet Hospital sites across the UK—typically a couple of times per month.

Senior Major Gifts Manager

Permanent, full time, 35 hours per week (flexible arrangements open to discussion)

As Senior Major Gifts Manager, you'll help deliver a step-change in philanthropy by providing strategic development and hands-on leadership of a major donor portfolio, securing high five-figure and six-figure gifts, and building new deep, long-term donor relationships that power the Major Appeal. This role is not about inheriting a fully "finished" programme. This is an opportunity for someone who can roll up their sleeves in a period of change: strengthening best practice, helping embed effective ways of working, and supporting a team (three direct reports) to thrive while key systems, processes and methodologies continue to develop.

The successful candidate will bring substantial experience in major donor fundraising, with a strong track record of personally securing significant gifts at high five and/or six figure level from individuals. You'll be a confident, supportive line manager, comfortable navigating key stakeholders internally and externally and evolving ways of working.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Donor Identification, solicitation and management 

• Work with the UK Country Manager to grow the donor portfolio in the UK by identifying prospects, building relationships and secure gifts from high net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors. 

• Identify and deliver unique stewardship and cultivation opportunities for donors.

• Manage a portfolio of major donors through various personalised approaches, including face-to-face meetings, phone calls, events and written and verbal communications. 

• Ensure excellent and timely response to enquiries and stewardship and acknowledgement of gifts. 

Events coordination 

• Work with the UK Country Manager to help shape and deliver events and other engagement opportunities to generate income, cultivate and steward donors. 

• Take responsibility for tailored and timely event follow-up to maximise relationships and using learnings and data from past events to develop donor engagement, referrals and gifts. 

Research, communications and administration  

• Research potential new donors and funding streams.

• Support the production of proposals, pitches, reports and general supporter communications. 

• Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording of interactions and progression related to all donor relationships 

• Provide executive assistance to the UK Country Manager and senior stakeholders in relation to scheduling supporter meetings, drafting communications and provision of information to underpin successful supporter engagement. 

• Maintain strong knowledge and understanding of HPF’s programmes. 

• Carry out administrative activities and other duties, as required, to maximise fundraising. 

Skills, Qualifications and Experience 

• Experience developing relationships with and securing funding from high-net-worth individuals and other philanthropic donors. 

• Entrepreneurial approach to relationship management and creating new fundraising initiatives. 

• Experience in coordination and delivery of bespoke, high-quality events for influential audiences. 

• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills, and a proactive networker, able to act as a spokesperson and ambassador for HPF. 

• Experience of writing inspiring, emotive, and technically fundraising communications and materials tailored to a major donor audience. 

• Exceptional organisational and time management skills to prioritise and manage own workload.

About the role

We’re excited to be recruiting a Legacy and In Memory Marketing Manager to help grow and deliver WWF-UK’s legacy and in memory fundraising programme. This role will lead the planning and delivery of engaging multi-channel marketing activity that inspires supporters to consider leaving a gift in their will or giving in memory, helping to build long-term support for our mission.

You’ll manage a varied portfolio of campaigns across direct mail, digital, events and web, working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications and data teams, as well as external agencies. Key responsibilities include:

• Strategy & Programme Development
  • Develop and deliver an annual Individual Giving strategy aligned with Cherry Trees’ organisational and fundraising goals.
  • Plan and manage a programme of multi‑channel campaigns (email, mail, social, digital ads, direct mail) to acquire, retain, and upgrade donors. Grow regular giving income using targeted campaigns and personalised communications.
• Donor Stewardship & Engagement
  • Oversee donor journeys that inspire, thank, and update supporters, ensuring excellent supporter experience at all touchpoints.
  • Develop segmented, insight-driven communications that speak to donor motivations. Manage in‑memory, ensuring sensitive and supportive engagement.
• Campaign Delivery
  • Lead on seasonal and one-off appeals, including the Christmas Big Give Challenge and seasonal campaigns.
  • Write compelling fundraising copy for emails, newsletters, social media, and print. - Work with colleagues in Communications, Services, and Finance to gather stories, monitor outcomes, and ensure consistent messaging.
• Data, Reporting & Insight
  • Use CRM data to segment audiences, track ROI, and analyse donor behaviour.
  • Produce regular performance reports, forecasting, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and best practice in data handling.
• Budget & Income Management
  • Manage and monitor the Individual Giving budget, setting clear KPI targets.
  • Deliver strong year‑on‑year growth and maintain accurate forecasting.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers such as mail houses, designers, and digital agencies.
• Cross‑Team Collaboration
  • Work closely with the wider Fundraising team to support integrated campaigns and events.
  • Contribute to the development of supporter journeys across all income streams. - Represent Individual Giving at internal meetings and when engaging with external stakeholders.

You’ll be confident using CRM data and analysis to inform strategy, and working alongside our communications team, you’ll enjoy creating compelling fundraising content from email journeys to campaign appeals, that motivates supporters to give.

You will excel in creating engaging supporter journeys and developing compelling fundraising propositions. Be strong in budget management, campaign evaluation skills, and familiarity with CRM systems are essential.

About the role:

The prospect research and pipeline management role will support high value fundraising across the Corporate, Trust and Community or Regional fundraising teams through prospect research, network mapping, lead qualification, and due diligence checks. This role will also manage the pipeline management process on our CRM ensuring the teams have access to dashboards tracking their donors across the stages of solicitation and be able to provide insight reports into how well we are moving prospects through the pipelines. This role will also be required to develop processes and ensure we are working within data protection and fundraising regulations and that our due diligence is tracked and auditable.

About you:

• Educated to degree level or with equivalent relevant work experience
• Familiarity with prospect research tools and the ability to identify and recommend the best tools to support our work using the budget as cost effectively as possible.
• Thorough working knowledge of GDPR as it relates to major donor fundraising and the Fundraising codes to practise.
• Experience of undertaking due diligence checks on prospective donors and of setting up and implementing policies and processes to ensure and demonstrate adherence to regulatory compliance.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build supportive and collaborative relationships with colleagues both across fundraising and the organisation including the ability to chair meetings and present data and insight.
• Experience of working on a variety of requests and ability to manage and prioritise workload whilst being responsive

Essential Criteria
• Previous experience of driving forward process improvements, implementing new processes or systems, and working with colleagues to embed such change.
• Skilled at using a relationship management database (or CRM) to track prospects through the solicitation process, produce dashboards and reports and glean insight from data.
• Experience of delivering prospect research activities to identify and qualify leads for fundraising teams across corporate, trust and major donor income streams.
• Working knowledge of high value income streams and what will support fundraisers in achieving income growth.
• Experience of providing relevant high quality and accurate research profiles with developed research skills and attention to detail
• Proven experience in identifying new high-value funding prospects from the database and other sources including major donors, corporate partners, and trusts.
• Proven ability to be proactive in network mapping securing new prospects or additional opportunities from existing networks e.g. see that a major donor is also a trustee of a grant giving trust or the CEO of a potential corporate partner.

We are looking for a Global Events Manager (Fundraising), to develop and lead a Global Events Strategy for all fundraising-related events including Philanthropy, Mid-Level and Legacy, as well as involvement in wider organisational events, to engage and inspire mid-level and major donors and funders.

This role focuses on high-value donor engagement, rather than mass participation fundraising. You will lead events such as major gift donor receptions, mid-level donor gatherings, legacy supporter events, and occasional internal team away days.

This is a Surrey based Hybrid role with 2 days a week in the office.

The Role
Event Strategy, Planning & Execution Take primary responsibility for coordinating and delivering innovative fundraising events, including in-person and virtual events, that engage and inspire mid-level and major donors globally.

The Candidate
Proven track record in planning, coordinating, and delivering successful fundraising events, both virtual and in person, with a focus on donor engagement.

Experience in managing mid and major donor portfolios, including cultivation, stewardship, and soliciting gifts.

Experience in managing high-value events, such as gala dinners, donor receptions, and exclusive donor webinars.

Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to create compelling content for event materials and donor communications.

Purpose of the post

The Financial Planning & Analysis Manager will support the Associate Director of Finance to provide insightful analysis of financial trends and oversee the recoverability of funds.

They will coordinate the month-end process and work with Finance Business Partners to coordinate the quarterly forecast and the 2026/27 budget.

They will also act as Finance Business Partner to a number of teams, working closely with Budget Holders and external partners to provide effective management of resources and risk, and monitoring of quarterly partner reporting.

Main responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis element of role (60%):

• Coordination of month-end process: overseeing the month-end checklist and coordination of FBPs; production of monthly management accounts using JET reports
• Coordination of quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting across cost centres and funds: preparation of forecasting templates; coordination of FBPs; upload and review of forecast onto finance system
• Coordination of long-term (high level) forecasting across all cost centres and funds to end of current Core Funding cycle
• Oversee the cost recovery process of new and existing funds (overhead recovery and monitoring of funding gaps)

Finance Business Partnering element of role (40%):

• Work with Budget Holders to manage financial performance, forecasts, and budgeting including understanding financial opportunities and risk for the area of business partnership.
• Provide donor reporting and analysis as required to funders of specific programmes.
• Consolidation of quarterly partner reporting

Experience

• CCAB qualified with a minimum of 5 years practical experience in financial analysis or business partnering roles

Desirable
