We are looking for a strategic and proactive Public Affairs Manager – Westminster and Devolved Nations with a strong understanding of how political decisions are shaped and influenced. In this role, you will lead high-impact activity across Westminster, the Senedd and Stormont, ensuring the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is respected and recognised as an effective voice for the MND community.

As a Public Affairs Manager, you will bring experience of influencing policy, ideally within health, social care or research. You will build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and turn insight into action that delivers meaningful change.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead public affairs activity across Westminster and the devolved nations
• Build and maintain senior relationships with parliamentarians and stakeholders
• Represent the MND Association at parliamentary meetings and events
• Provide the secretariat for the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on MND
• Align public affairs work with campaigns and policy priorities
• Monitor and advise on political developments impacting people with MND
• Lead party conference engagement and political outreach
• Manage and support a team of public affairs professionals
• Oversee political monitoring and external suppliers
• Represent the MND Association across Whitehall and devolved forums

About You

• Excellent understanding of Westminster and political processes
• Knowledge of the Senedd and Stormont, and how health and social care policy works in Wales and Northern Ireland
• Experience influencing policy, ideally in health, social care or research
• Proven ability to build relationships to deliver change
• Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills
• Experience leading teams in-person and remotely
• Excellent understanding of the wider political landscape

Hybrid working expectations: London office attendance at least one day per week, in line with any in-person meetings. Able to be in Westminster regularly and at short notice, and available for occasional evening and weekend work.

There is also scope to shape and grow the service, including developing new income opportunities and resources.  You will be line managing a small team of staff and volunteers. 

We are looking for someone with experience in sensory support, strong organisational and people management skills, and confidence in advising on equipment and practical solutions. You will be proactive, flexible and committed to improving outcomes for the people we support.

This is primarily an office-based role with some travel across Surrey.

Partnerships and Engagement Manager

The Facilities & Compliance Manager maintains a safe, secure and fully operational theatre building and supplementary space (Empire 2) ensuring strict compliance with building and health & safety regulations and acting as the primary Health & Safety Officer for the venue. The role provides high quality facilities management and oversees external contractors working in the venue and supplementary spaces. Further, the role performs day-to-day operations such as opening-up, daily building checks and assisting with room set-ups and deliveries.

Facilities & day-to-day management

• Serve as a primary keyholder, handling opening-up procedures and security deactivation
• Perform daily building inspections to identify maintenance/security issues and ensure the building is safe and ready for use
• Manage both reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across the building fabric and mechanical/electrical systems
• Supervise external contractors and specialist service providers, ensuring risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) are obtained prior to commencement of works and Service Level Agreements are met
• Manage waste disposal, recycling, and environmental sustainability initiatives
• Assist with physical room set-ups and spatial configurations for rehearsals, meetings, conferences and front-of-house hospitality
• Receive deliveries and safely distribute stock/equipment across the venue
• Oversee site security systems, including CCTV, access control and key management
• Coordinate alarm response as part of a rota with others, including out of hours cover

Statutory compliance

• Ensure compliance with building regulations and health and safety laws
• Manage statutory inspections including, but not limited to:
• LOLER (lifting equipment)
• PUWER
• National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) testing (fixed wire and PAT testing)
• Water hygiene/Legionella
• Gas safety
• Emergency lighting
• Fire alarm, firefighting equipment, evacuation chairs
• Coordinate regular emergency drills such as fire evacuation and invacuation
• Maintain up to date records of all statutory compliance audits, inspections and certifications reporting to senior management as required

Health & safety leadership

• Act as the primary Health and Safety Officer for the venue
• Review RAMS and monitor safety during technical fit-outs, load-ins and strike periods in conjunction with the Technical Manager and Tech Team
• Maintain the accident book and lead Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations (RIDDOR) reporting

• Provide regular safety briefings to visiting theatre companies

Budget & administration

• Assist the Capital Projects and Facilities Associate in formulating and managing the annual facilities operational budget

• Maintain up to date statutory compliance records and risk assessments

The Role 
 
As Retail Assurance Manager, you will provide specialist support, guidance, and oversight across all areas of operational risk within retail and estates, ensuring our locations operate safely, compliantly, and to agreed organisational standards. As the estate continues to grow, this role will enhance the organisation’s confidence in retail governance through effective assurance processes, training, and continuous improvement. 

The role will develop and maintain frameworks, policies, and tools to support retail managers in managing risk locally, covering areas such as Health and Safety, Fire Safety, financial controls and Gift Aid. By embedding accountability for risk management at every level, the Retail Assurance Manager will enable managers to own compliance within their areas, reinforcing a culture of safety, integrity, and strong performance. 

Working with the Head of Retail and Head of Retail Property and Estates, the post holder will design and deliver an operational annual retail audit programme, assessing performance across operational, financial, and compliance areas. Findings will inform improvement plans, demonstrate governance to the wider organisation, and help reduce incidents of non-compliance, theft, and fraud.

Specifically, you will: 

• Be the Health & safety (H&S) lead for retail and wider charity and be main point of contact for all related queries, concerns and escalations.  

• Provide “how to” checklists and guidance for ladders, steamers, reading and actioning risk assessments etc.  

• Be responsible for records of compliance training, Health & Safety inductions and DSE assessments across retail and the wider charity, flagging to senior managers non-compliance.  

• Develop risk assessments and processes with owners of the risk so these are relevant and highlight `immediate` and `progressive` actions.  

• Support the Centre Manager and Café Manager in food safety compliance developing food safety policies and procedures.  

• Work across retail and operations to ensure the Business Continuity Plan is up to date and maintain team`s risk registers.  

• Create an intuitive system to ensure Health & Ssafety policy and procedures are maintained, relevant and up to date.  

• Support provision of COSHH registers on our premises.  

 
About You 

To be considered for this role, you will need: 

• To have proven experience in an assurance, audit, compliance, risk, Health & Safety, or retail operations role (ideally within multi-site retail or a customer-facing estate).  

• To have working knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice (e.g., Health & Safety, Fire Safety, food safety where applicable, GDPR/data protection, safeguarding awareness) and the ability to translate requirements into practical guidance.  

• To have experience of planning and delivering an audit/inspection programme, including developing checklists/standards, conducting site visits, identifying non-conformance, and agreeing proportionate improvement actions.  

• To have experience of producing clear reports and presenting findings to different audiences, including senior stakeholders, with recommendations that balance risk, practicality and commercial impact.  

• A NEBOSH qualification would be preferred but we would consider IOSH with a view to training towards NEBOSH to the right applicant.  

• To be Educated to A Level or above.  

• To have basic Health and Safety and Fire training in previous roles alongside an awareness of GDPR, Cyber Security and Safeguarding or ability to demonstrate awareness of the above. Good understanding of Data Protection principles.  

• To have IT literacy in particular with Microsoft Office.

As Senior Project Manager, you’ll play a critical role in facilitating cross-organisation projects in Caring Services  and other areas of the charity, sponsored by the Executive team. You’ll be responsible for driving change from concept to completion - ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with measurable, sustainable benefits. Your work will directly improve how Marie Curie operates to supports those who rely on us. 

We’re seeking motivated PM professionals with experience in healthcare or clinical environments, who are driven to make a real difference and play a key role in delivering our mission. 

Key Responsibilities:   

• Lead the full project lifecycle, ensuring delivery meets agreed scope, budget, timeline, and governance standards. 
• Partner with Executive Sponsors and business leads to design, plan and manage delivery of projects and change initiatives. 
• Coordinate multiple workstreams, manage resources, and direct cross-functional project teams. 
• Engage with and manage external partners and vendors. 
• Assess the impact of change and effectively manage risks and emerging issues. 
• Ensure smooth transition from project delivery into operations, ensuring strategies are in place for the successful adoption of changes. 

Key Criteria: 

• Established experience managing strategic and complex change projects with senior-level stakeholders in a healthcare or public sector environment. 
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple workstreams and projects, lead project teams and manage resources. 
• Industry recognised project management and/or change management qualification (e.g. Prince2, APM, Agile, Prosci). 
• Solid track record of managing high-value project budgets and delivering business and/or service level change with measurable benefits.  
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.

We’re looking for a talented Individual Giving Manager to join the Fundraising & Communications Cluster at Embrace.

The Fundraising & Communications Cluster comprises expertise in fundraising, marketing, communication, trading (web shop), supporter engagement and retention. Working collaboratively, we serve our supporters by providing authentic and engaging communications inspiring active social witness, engagement and giving to charity. 

The Fundraising & Communications Cluster strengthens Embrace’s communication, education, and fundraising efforts to drive growth, so that more people engage with our content, more donors are attracted to support, and the UK church is more deeply engaged with the cause - enabling us to fund more work in the region and generate a deeper understanding of Christian service in the Middle East.

As Individual Giving Manager, you’ll help us grow sustainable income by keeping individual supporters inspired, informed and engaged - so they give again, stay longer, and deepen their support.

You will deliver an excellent supporter journey experience, project managing engaging and compelling direct and digital individual giving activity (including – but not limited to – appeals, regular giving conversion & upgrade, lapsed reactivation) and incorporating legacies marketing, raising more than £1m voluntary income each year.

What success looks like:

• Higher Life-Time Value (LTV): more second gifts, upgrades and cross channel giving; stronger legacy pipeline.
• Lower churn: reduced lapse rates for cash and regular givers.

Key Responsibilities:

Supporter Experience & Journeys

• Map and continually improve journeys: welcome → second gift; regular giving nurture/upgrade; mid-value; legacy prospecting; lapsed reactivation; complaint recovery.
• Set cadence and channel mix (email, mail, phone, SMS, social, events, digital) for consistent, donor‑first communications in appropriate channels and accessible formats.
• Donor first approach: clear, inclusive language; accessible formats; low‑friction giving/retention flows and personalisation e.g. name, last gift, interests, location, project etc.
• Collaborate with Content & Communications colleagues to deliver content that shares the impact of support i.e. what donors make possible and Embrace’s brand story.

Segmentation, Testing & Insight

• Track Regular Giving net growth; diagnose attrition drivers and fix root causes; maintain acceptable Return on Investment (ROIs).
• Lead supporter segmentation (by behaviour & interest) and A/B testing (offer, timing, upgrade prompts).
• Adopt an evidence-based, test and learn‑ approach; analyse appeals, campaign performance and share insights to drive decisions.
• Work with colleagues to build insight dashboard and understanding of retention.

Mid‑Value & Legacy Development

• Steward mid‑value donors with tailored journeys; warm handovers to and from Major Giving Manager.
• Develop and test legacy propositions and routes to market to grow enquiries and pledges.

Acquisition & Cross‑Sell

• Project manage individual giving product development and testing; identify new audiences and routes to market.
• Collaborate with Web Shop team and the Digital Marketing Campaigns Manager to optimise Alternative Gifts and cross-sell opportunities focusing on a digital first approach.

Cross-Team Collaboration

• Work closely with the Supporter Experience Team to ensure that supporter journeys are being optimised and feedback from supporters is being captured and acted upon.
• Commission and work with the CRM and Systems Manager to develop clear and understandable dashboards, ensuring that the insights are used to develop plans and measure performance.
• Closely liaise with the Legacy administration team, working with them to ensure the packs and information are up to date and legacy marketing information complies with the latest Institute of Legacy Management standards.
• Develop an understanding of the Partner projects and Advocacy agenda, ensure all supporter briefings are aligned to agreed messaging.

Qualifications, Experience & Knowledge:

• Educated to degree standard or equivalent (E.g. practical experience within fundraising).
• Member of Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
• Proven individual giving or CRM led retention experience in a charity, membership or subscription context. 
• Hands‑on journey design and automation.
• Strong data literacy: segmentation, dashboards (CRM/Excel), test and learn. 
• Excellent written communication—able to brief compelling, impacted content and clear supporter updates. 
• Practical project management; calm under pressure; collaborative and solutions focused. 
• Working knowledge of GDPR/PECR and best practice supporter care. 
• Experience stewarding mid-value supporters and legacy pipelines.
• Experience with payment recovery tools and card update flows.
• Familiarity with UK charity sector metrics and fundraising codes of practice.
