The Opportunity

You will have the skills and ambition to lead the delivery, growth and evolution of WIG's secondments portfolio, including our highly regarded Charity Next programme (which places Civil Service Fast Stream graduates within no-for-profit organisations) . You will play a pivotal role in enabling leaders to build cross-sector experience, via secondments and mentoring to share expertise and strengthen collaboration for the benefit of the UK.

This is a highly varied role combining programme leadership, business development, stakeholder engagement, customer service and commercial accountability. You will have the opportunity to work with senior leaders across government, charities and corporate organisations. It presents an opportunity for you to shape WIG’s talent exchange offer at a time when the government is going through considerable transformation.  

What you will be doing:

• Lead the strategy, delivery and continuous improvement of WIG's secondment programmes, including delivering cross-sector secondment opportunities for senior civil service, business and civil society leaders, placing 2 large cohorts annually of civil service fast streamers into charity secondments and supporting senior cross-sector mentoring brokerages. 
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across the civil service, private sector, charity and further education sectors.
• Act as a strategic adviser to hosts and secondees, ensuring successful placements.
• Support governance activity, including the Charity Next Advisory Board.
• Develop compelling proposals, new programme ideas and business development opportunities, aligning to WIG’s mission and Civil Service focus areas
• Capture impact through feedback, case studies and alumni engagement.
• Collaborate across WIG to strengthen the profile and reach of our leadership development offer.
• Drive programme growth, innovation and income generation against agreed revenue targets.

About You

You will be experienced working with multiple customers, able to communicate with people at all levels and in different sectors. You will be inquisitive and energetic and a good listener. You will enjoy working in a relationship-driven environment and enjoys working at the intersection of sectors. You will also be organised and able to manage multiple shifting priorities.

As we enter an exciting new season of growth, we are looking for a Supporter Data & Engagement Manager to sit at the heart of our fundraising function.

The Role

This is a dual-focus position, roughly equal parts data and relationship. You will be the organisation's primary expert on Charity CRM - maintaining data quality, building reports and dashboards, and ensuring the whole team has the insight it needs to make good decisions. 

At the same time, you will play a hands-on role in supporter stewardship: developing personalised donor journeys, managing engagement events, and making sure every supporter feels valued and connected to the work their giving makes possible.

You will bring:

• Substantial experience working with a CRM system (Charity CRM preferred), including data management, querying, and segmentation
• Proven ability to build reports and dashboards and translate data insight clearly for non-technical audiences
• Demonstrable experience in supporter engagement, stewardship, or donor relationship management
• Strong understanding of data quality principles, UK GDPR, and data protection best practice
• Experience planning and delivering supporter or stakeholder events
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – warm, proactive, and genuinely relational

Experience of CRM migration projects, Power BI, Gift Aid administration, or working within a charity or membership organisation would be a real advantage.

The Mental Health Foundation is recruiting for a CRM Officer to support the CRM team in our London office.

This exciting role will support the CRM team with data processes in our Beacon CRM fundraising database, as we look to integrate and automate more of our systems and processes. High-quality data will enable us to develop stronger relationships with our supporters, retention and maximise lifetime value working in an agile way.

What does the role involve?

• Manage data processes, imports and exports of all fundraising data including direct debits, new donors, email signups etc. in accordance with agreed protocols and in agreement with CRM Manager.
• Ensure that the use of the Fundraising database and the capture of all data from supporters or prospects conforms to data protection guidelines including GDPR relating to supporter preferences and consent.
• Support training for colleagues using the CRM (Beacon) and help ensure all members are trained and kept up to date on new features and enhancements as they require to do their job effectively.
• Support the reconciliation of the bank statement with Beacon and ensure the Finance team know where to find information to enable accurate coding for management accounts.

Why is this position on a fixed term contract?

Having this CRM Officer role in post for a year will support the ongoing business as usual data processes, whilst increasing capacity in the team to support efforts to increase the amount of automation of processes and integration between systems. This will ultimately reduce our reliance on manual data processes, reducing the volume of day to day data transfer, which should lead to a reduction of required capacity with the CRM team beyond the term of this contract.

What skills, knowledge and experience are we looking for?

• Demonstrable relevant experience working in Fundraising, or a Charity database team role using Beacon CRM or any database similar, with experience of CRMs in general.
• Evidenced experience of managing high volumes of personal data using a large and complex supporter/CRM database.
• Evidenced ability to think analytically and deliver the most effective and accurate solutions for data capture, manipulation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead on trust and statutory fundraising, developing and delivering the strategy for both capital and revenue fundraising to drive increased restricted and unrestricted income.
• Set trust and statutory income targets and oversee income forecasting for capital and revenue, keeping the Head of Fundraising abreast of performance against target.
• Lead on developing and overseeing due diligence procedures for trust, statutory and major donor prospects to ensure staff follow due process.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a trust fundraising role in the charity sector and the process behind it.
• A demonstrable track record of income generation through personally securing six and seven figure gifts from grant-making trusts, foundations and statutory sources
• Experience of leading and delivering effective and practical fundraising strategies to include target setting, forecasting and income reporting
• An ability to think and act strategically to move forward complex donor relationships, understanding their needs and what motivates them
• Experience of working with and influencing senior leaders and peers within an organisation

Are you experienced in leading a team within Service Charges?

We have two fantastic opportunities to join our Service Charges team as Regional Service Charge Managers. Based from our office in Basingstoke, you'll combine office and home working in line with our hybrid approach, with occasional travel to our Wembley office for team meetings.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Service Charge Setting and Administration, you'll be responsible for managing and coordinating the Regional Service Charges team in the South West region in the delivery of the service charge calculations (all tenure types) and annual service charge statements to customers in line with legal and regulatory requirements. The portfolio consists of approximately 20,000 units with a total annual service charge income budget of c.£20 million. Responsibilities include:

• Managing the Regional Service Charge team with a focus on articulating a clear vision, providing direction, and promoting a culture of accountability, high performance, and continuous improvement

• Setting the annual service charge expenditure and income budget across all tenures within the region

• Accountability for the annual service charge estimate and final account process, ensuring the risk associated with rechargeable service charges is effectively managed and regulatory time scales are met

• Working collaboratively across the business to support continuous service improvement and deliver excellent customer service to customers across different tenure types, ensuring compliance with legal requirements

• Reviewing and approving the certification of annual service charges, documenting the calculation and apportionment process, including the reports and supporting documentation to facilitate the certification

• Producing and analysing regular reports on recoverable repairs and maintenance expenditure, estimated service charge income and ad-hoc reports dependant on business requirements

What we're looking for

You should have previous experience in a similar management role within service charges. You'll need to demonstrate strong technical knowledge, being adept in managing fixed and variable charges in a large and complex setting, preferably in a housing context. You'll also need:

• To be an experienced leader, skilled in developing high-performing teams and consistently maintaining high operational standards

• Thorough understanding of the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 (as amended) and other guidance and best practice for service charges

• To be qualified by experience or a qualified accountant with a solid understanding of accounting practices and concepts including account reconciliations

• Ability to take ownership and work independently whilst meeting tight organisational deadlines

• Strong stakeholder management skills, demonstrating collaborative, cross-functional working relationships, including experience liaising with external stakeholders, e.g. auditors, regulators and Ombudsman

• Experience in directly engaging with customers, addressing queries, and delivering clear, concise written communication

• Strong experience with Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate / advanced excel

About the opportunity:

As a Social Investment Manager, you will work on the outcomes contracts activity in both the UK and other high-income countries. You will develop new projects and partnerships along with ongoing management of the existing portfolio.

Thames Rivers Trust (TRT) is part of The Rivers Trust movement. We focus on the promotion and delivery of an ecosystem-based approach to improving the River Thames, working with partners including Thames Water, The Rivers Trust, the Zoological Society of London (ZSL) and a network of Catchment Partnerships across the Thames Basin, to deliver an integrated approach to managing the river basin for people, biodiversity and the environment.

We are recruiting a Programme Manager to lead day-to-day delivery of the Water Company Partnership: a developing arrangement between TRT, The Rivers Trust, Thames Water and ZSL that works alongside and helps coordinate support for the 27 Catchment Partnerships of the Thames Basin. You will oversee delivery across all five of the Partnership's workstreams and be accountable to the Partnership Board for progress, combining day-to-day programme management with support to the Board's strategic oversight.

In practical terms, this role exists to help integrate Catchment Partnership hosts and partnership members with Thames Water's delivery programme, and to upskill those partnerships so they are equipped to plan, fund and deliver more on the ground themselves, building the same kind of productive relationships with other funders and partners too, not just Thames Water. It is a genuine opportunity to shape how a major water company and its environmental partners work together, and to help turn that partnership into real, measurable improvements for rivers and the wider environment across the Thames Basin.

Your responsibilities will span five workstreams:

● Governance: catchment partnership maturity and tiering, network structure and governance models

● Monitoring and Evaluation: river health scorecards, monitoring standards and evidence for investment decisions and Thames Water's PR29 submission

● Capability and Capacity, including CaPS: TRT's own Catchment Partnerships Support Programme, learning and development, and running the Thames Catchment Forum

● Catchment and Nature-based Solutions: supporting delivery of wetland, river restoration and storm overflow projects

● Blended Finance: developing environmental market mechanisms and diversified funding for Catchment Partnerships

You will also service the Partnership Board, coordinate quarterly reviews with individual catchment hosts, and act as TRT's key liaison with Thames Water, The Rivers Trust, ZSL and Catchment Partnerships across the region.

We're looking for someone with experience delivering environmental, catchment or nature-recovery programmes, strong partnership working and facilitation skills, and the ability to coordinate complex, multi-organisation programmes through influence rather than line management. Knowledge of the water sector, WINEP or AMP planning, nature-based solutions or blended finance would be an advantage, as would a project or programme management qualification.

Your role

As a Face-to-Face Fundraising Operations Manager, you will focus on the following areas:

• Leading the development and continuous improvement of operational systems, processes and frameworks that support a nationwide face-to-face fundraising programme.

Senior Grants Partnerships Manager

Salary: £45,200 – £50,500 per annum, including London weighting where applicable, dependent on experience

As our Senior Grants Partnerships Manager, you'll own a portfolio of up to ten large trusts, foundations and institutional funders at six and seven figure level, deepening existing relationships while opening up new ones across North America, the Gulf States, East Asia, Northern Europe and the UK.

Working closely alongside our Programmes and Advocacy colleagues, and sitting within the Programmes team so you're close to the work itself, you'll research and win new donors, shape compelling proposals and steward the relationships that follow.
