About the Role

As Relationships Manager, you’ll work within an ambitious team, securing sustainable income to ensure the youth zone can deliver high-quality, safe and inclusive services for young people. A dynamic and rewarding role at the heart of the Fundraising & Communications team, helping to generate the income needed each year to keep the youth zone sustainable.

From working with high net-worth Individual and organisations on the Founder Patron campaign, to working on Corporate Partnerships, individual giving campaigns, major gifts and high value supporters, to supporting and growing community-led fundraising, planning and delivering events, campaigns and appeals.

Previous fundraising experience is not essential but you will need strong relationship building skills, with a proven track record of business development, income generation and/or account management.

Being able to tell good stories around local case studies to build a picture of why a youth zone is needed in North East Lincolnshire, along with great presentations skills.

You’ll bring excellent administrative skills to the role and experience of using a CRM system as you will need to be involved in the preparation of proposals, gift agreements and reports. Attention to detail and strong organisational abilities are essential.

About the Organisation

This is a brand-new locally run youth charity, set to provide thousands of young people with the opportunity to have fun, make new friends, try something new and feel safe. About the role

We seek a highly organised and proactive Events Manager to join our team, helping to deliver a range of high-profile events that engage key stakeholders and promote our strategic objectives. Hearing Dogs for Deaf People has been creating life-changing partnerships between hearing dogs and deaf recipients since 1982. Job Description

This is a responsible position managing the accounts and payroll of a medium-sized West London youth charity. The role is central to maintaining the charity’s financial wellbeing and thereby enhancing opportunities for young people.

It is a part-time role, with plenty of flexibility. Working from home and coming into our office at least once a week, you can spread the weekly hours across 3, 4 or 5 days – whatever works for you. You’ll be working closely with the Treasurer, Chief Executive, Fundraiser and Programme Director as well as our HR Manager and Operations Manager, with whom you will share some admin support.

Role Requirements

· Manage day-to-day financial operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable/grants claims, bank reconciliations, general accounting functions.

· Perform monthly journals and reconciliation of balance sheet/control accounts, including accruals, prepayments, deferred income and fixed assets.

· Claim monthly the Gift Aid that has not already been collected through donation platforms.

· Produce timely and accurate monthly reports for budget holders to help them effectively manage their budgets, ensuring that spend is being properly tracked and allocated against programmes and grants/donations.

· Hold regular meetings with budget holders following the production of the monthly reports.

· Work with the CEO, Treasurer, Fundraiser and programme/operational budget holders where necessary to:

o Provide the Finance Committee with a monthly dashboard

o Co-ordinate the annual budget process, and produce quarterly financial forecasts.

o Manage cashflow projection

· Support the Monitoring and Evaluation manager with donor reports

· Liaise with the auditors throughout the audit process, providing supporting schedules and  grant documentation in support of the TB figures provided.

· Prepare the statutory annual accounts for review by the auditors.

· Manage payroll (30+staff), pensions and the allocation of project personnel costs. This includes liaison with the HR and programme managers to ensure the Employment Hero payroll system is processing HR information and timesheets correctly.

· Process improvement – work with key stakeholders to ensure that finance processes are fit for purpose and implementing change where improvements can/should be made.

· Ensure the Avenues has appropriate internal controls in place and is meeting all tax and audit obligations.

· Preparation and maintenance of a finance manual.

· Deal with general finance queries, both externally and from members of the team

· Co-supervise the finance and operations administrator

 

Person Requirements

· Accountancy qualification eg- ACA/CIMA/ACCA/AAT Professional Level or QBE

· Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role.

· Previous experience in the charity sector would be highly desirable although not essential.

· Good knowledge of QuickBooks system and proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel.

· Experience of process improvement and system implementation an advantage.

· Strong communication skills well versed in speaking finance with non-finance colleagues.

· Ability to adhere to deadlines

· Confident in holding self and others to account

· Ability to work to high standards, without needing detailed supervision

Senior Project Manager

£63,605 per annum

The successful candidate will be based at Endurance House, Vision Park, Chivers Way, Histon, Cambridge CB24 9ZR, with the optional flexibility of hybrid working to support work life balance, whilst meeting the requirements of the role

Fixed Term Contract – Approximatley 18 months

About the role:

As Senior Project Manager, you will have responsibility for planning, delivering, and embedding two high-profile, business critical projects:

· Implementation of new housing management IT system

· Refurbishment of head office; and

· Supporting other corporate priority projects

You will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and senior leaders to ensure both projects are delivered to time, budget, scope, and quality, whilst providing regular progress reports to the Corporate Management Team (CMT), HRG Cttee and Board as required.

As the Senior Project Manager your duties will include:

· Developing project scope, deliverables, timelines and budgets in line with business objectives for two complex projects.

· Manage project governance, including risk, issues, dependencies and change control, acting as primary contact for queries.

· Build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth delivery of both projects.

· Support change management activities including training, adoption and changes to current practice and procedure.

· Ensure compliance with CHS policies and procedures, including financial regulations, health and safety, data protection, IT and data security.

· Attendance at meetings with colleagues and other professionals as required.

About you

· Proven experience of managing large, complex projects simultaneously.

· Project management qualification (eg; PRINCE2) or equivalent project management software

· You will have a minimum 5 years’ experience in project management.

· You will have proven experience in project managing the implementation of complex IT systems and/or office refurbishment programmes from start to finish.

· You will have knowledge and understanding of Project management software and tools.

· Strong leadership skills; able to inspire, influence, and build strong relationships at all levels.

· Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.

· Access to transport for work purposes and business insurance for own vehicle where appropriate.
